I have been playing by these rules for years. I'll add another. Playing best ball. This is playing 2 balls per hole and using the best shot each time. Then counting that for each hole.

My father in law does that... He claims the second one is a practice stroke to see what he did wrong on the first shot and uses whichever ball has a better lie.

Just so I'm clear are the mulligans only per dollar of green fees or can you count cart fees as well? If no to cart fees that sounds very unfair to walkers.

Where are the jokes? These "bran-new rules" are the rules every amatur golfer has been playing for years! However, you still are missing the golden rules:
>Never fill the holes you make on the rough nor rake the sand in the sand tracks. Those things are there for the workers to do, but make sure you spend 10 mins. cleaning your balls and putter heads before you start playing.
>When in a group, always stand around, chatting, smoking, and drinking at the start of a hole until a person behind you comes up and asks to play around you. In that moment, assert your dominance and insist that you will speed it up, but spend 5 mins anyway measuring out your shot.
>Never take scorecards to count your strokes, if you "forget" your number, just think of something that sounds right and go with it. Soon you will be hitting PGA numbers like nobody's business.
>if you still can't win, there's always Wii Sports and Tiger Woods. Find an Action Replay or Cheating device and have the game set where it is impossible for you to lose. Then when you just talk about how well you played the day before to your coworkers, just be ambiguous on where and how you played.
Follow those rules, and you are sure to get your handicap all the way down.

This video isn't funny and unfortunately there are too many fools like this on the course. If people would learn the rules as well as basic etiquette, golf would be more fun for everyone.
And some people need to learn how to take a joke.
