@235tanas The videos are transferred the same as pictures, however, check your settings. Within there, you can set how long you want the videos to play for (say 10 seconds, 30 seconds or the entire video)
Thanks for replying. I tried jpegs,tiffs,etc...didn't matter. It seems as if I've found a work around to the files not being recognized by the digital picture frame. I have to open and resave the files after I've edited them in Photoshop.I'm using the applcation Graphic Convertor for this process.Sony should say in their manual that if a photo is worked on in Photoshop it won't be recognized by this frame.
It is supposed to playback Motion-JPEG video but I can´t make it. It's being a nightmare to find out how to convert mp4 to this format on a modern computer, and MJPEG conversions I've made through free on-line services don´t seem to work either...
Christian Hervás you’re not wrong. I think that’s a format that’s not really supported anymore (and wasn’t that supported even then), so getting it to work is more of a headache
How do these digital picture frames handle a mixture of photos, some in portrait mode, some in landscape mode? Does it auto flip the image? How does it handle proper centering of a portrait mode since the screen seems to be set up for landscape. (I mean if it just inserts the photo, it will clip the top/bottom off). Thanks
Do you know the work around for images that have been edited in Adobe on a Mac not showing up on these digital screens? Sony seems to be ignoring this problem.
Bad documentation and a digital picture frame that can't handle an edited jpeg? That's almost inexcusable at this price. And when copying files to the frame from my computer it makes two versions of the file, a working version and a version that produces the lightning bolt display on screen. I then have to go into the frame Menu and delete the corrupt duplicates. A lot of work to just copy files to a digital frame.
Enough of the uhhh!!! That makes you sound so unprofessional and it makes you sound like you do not know what you are talking about. just a suggestion...

Thank you for this. I have a DPF-D1010. The manual made no sense. NOW...I have a frame functioning as I'd like.
Very informative . Just got the Sony S frame. Would try out the options.
Although one question, How do I manage my videos in this ?
@proztube via USB or memory card of your choice. Video format is Motion JPEG

Hello nice video, does it have last memory ?, so when it switches its self off then back on it resumes playing from where it turned off ?
Anyone familiar with the video playback functions? Will it auto play when power is on? Is it selected separately on is inserted from the slide show?
Can you explain how to add back ground music, please?
Will the video play with audio when its in Motion JPEG? Or s\must we add a song to the slideshow to sync with the video?
does it comes with speakers to listen to music, or video? if so, how well does it sound?
@porkrollsammy What is the file format that you export to? And what is the method that you are using to place the photos into the frame?

how do you get the pictures on it.....does it store them or do you have to use your cameras sd card thing\
+Michael Gemaly this has both internal memory as well as you can place SD cards and memory sticks inside of it
Very glad this helped out :)
Can you upload pictures from your computer straight through to the digital frame?
No, you do need a memory stick.
They are not meant to be left on for long periods of time.

Its expensive. Why not get a 8-10 inch tab and use it as a digital photo-frame?
can it display gif files?
+Holion wei doesn't do .GIF files
what is the price range and what stores can I buy it at
Discontinued to your best bet is to try Amazon or eBay.
Audio as well
@pnoyrock76 Yea, it's very nice and stealthy when off
Unfortunately, not in this model
Small speakers inside. They are ok I would say. Nothing premium.

No, it doesn't sound anything like a radio. Sounds like this person did not prepare enough before making this video. Thus, sounding unprofessional.
No there is not.
