A little bit about me..
Rebecca is a passionate Singer-Songwriter/Vocal coach/mentor /impressionist/photographer/creative junkie /self- development lover not a hater.
“I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well, maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2016. However, despite not being able to walk for a few weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and try to practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…we are all specks of dust…Also, thank you for all your support. It means a lot. I have suffered from anxiety from the past and self-confidence, (yeah hard to see now right) didn’t think I was ‘good, or worthy enough’ but I feel I have a new lease of life, don’t really care as much and want to show you guys what I have! : ) You are all awesome and without you, there would be no channel. your reaction is me everytime i listen to Home Free... fur coat, mug of tea, constantly rewinding to catch crazy harmonies again. somehow, those harmonies simultaneously rattle my insides and help me breathe easier. i dont get it, but i keep coming back for more
Yeah. Their harmonies, to me, are just beyond superb. Another example of that: how great thou art.
By the way, if you haven't done this already, go check out their latest video: why does it have to be. Super catchy beat (thanks to Adam Rupp), good blend of harmonies in that one as well, and Tim's bass line is awesome.
It makes me happy.....there voices are so good!!there voce is 100%!!
First time I ever sent anything on patreon. I just wanted her to be OK.
i know Im asking randomly but does any of you know a trick to log back into an instagram account?
I was stupid lost my account password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
@Coleman Bryce instablaster ;)
Your face when Tim starts the first verse (both times..) is basically all of us 😆❤️ Bass sounds have magic wrapped around them.
Ilona Anttila oh right?!
@Builders of Utah Yes!!! ❤️
From a guy with a deep voice, thanks. Thats probabaly the best compliment evah
I think you'll like their rendition of "How Great Thou Art".
Yes, yes, and YES!
If she thought this was beautiful, how great though art will blow her mind!
@@MrBigbadbowen Quadruple yes
that one and their Ring of fire version as well. HOW DO YOU SING SO PERFECTLY THAT LOW!?
@@chemislife You need to be a LOW LOW base. I could hit the third note below the piano when in college.
Was instructed by my music teacher to NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!
Honey if you want some low notes you need to listen to their cover of Do You Hear What I Hear, Tim hits some really low notes in that song that will make your room vibrate. So glad to see you reacting to these guys finally. ❤❤👏👏👏
Also "youre man" live!!! Boy you here almost his hole voice range and is so funny live.hihi
Or ring of fire!
@@sarahsills1485 Particularly the live version from "The Sing-Off"!
@@iamkerok nooo I love the version with Avi in it it's way better imo
I like them both @@sarahsills1485 , but the look of shock and the reaction to Tim's live performance just tickles me. Happy listening!
More homefree reviews please.
Yes, yes, oh, and, YES!
I love Home free. you should listen to them more.. And Tim is my favorite bass out there
Nanu Itkonen Hei! Joku suomalainen HF fani täällä! Hyvä juttu! Jos haluat, liity suomalaiseen Home Free Finn Fries faceryhmään😊 Meitä on jo yli kymmenen😄
You haven't heard anything yet. Tim, the bass has a 5 octave range, his lowest recorded note is A0. One of my favorites is Do You Hear What I Hear (arranged by Adam, their beatboxer) and you can hear Tim's bass well in that, also How Great Thou Art is incredible. Their harmonies are impeccable. Please, please do more Home Free. They have a large fan base out here. To hear the full effect (especially the bass) you must wear headphones.....really. Thanks for doing this video!
Actually he hit a G#0 or F#0 live.
Tim Storms is, in my opinion, a worse singer than Tim Foust.
Painy YT he commented before Tim did that
Yeah, when he does his solo stuff, he's still in my range, and I can only on a very good day pull off a breathy C2 or maybe Bb1 before my voice warms up. And I'm just a baritone, not a bass.
I would love to hear him solo an octave or even just a fifth lower. That opening note is strong, like it's more in the middle of his range.
@Christopher Morris Tim Storms is not a singer.
A0! Isn't that the last key on the piano? Holy crap!
Wonderful reaction/analysis. I hope we can hear some more from you. These boys can make the most amazing harmonies and sounds. A very good example of this is their arrangement of Do You Hear What I Hear and Man of Constant Sorrow (Home Free) 03-03-18. An older song they did when Chris Rupp (baritone) was still with them and a newer song with Adam Chance (bass/baritone). The bass, Tim Foust, has an amazing range and you hear that a lot from fans. These fellows are good! Thank you! ^_^
What's great about Home Free, is that you can watch their live performances and they are just as good as their produced videos.
That sweet heavenly voice you heard and liked was Austin Brown the high tenor.
Great reaction. I would love to see more reactions to Home Free. Tim Foust, the bass, has incredible range. Their harmonies are fantastic, and their songs are a wonderful mix of goofy fun and beautiful harmonies. Helplessly Hoping and How Great Thou Art are other songs they did with amazing harmonies.
Home Free and their music has done more for my mental health than should even be possible. But they have. Such beauty. They communicate with their music so fantastically. I truly love these guys and appreciate them sharing their talent and skill with us.
Thank you for recognizing that these are stellar arrangements! The arranger obviously has so much freedom to make absolutely beautiful sounding songs. Their bled is phenomenal!
listening to that with ear-buds in! Sweet Jesus! That was eargasmic I love acapella harmony, especially with a couple key changes in there. What a buffet of beautiful voices. These guys are virtually flawless singers. That quote is like going to be my new credo. Awesome video, with perfect timing. Power to the goosies! xx
ps just looked into it and that quote. It was by Napolean Hill. He is known best for his book Think and Grow Rich which is among the 10 best selling self-help books of all time. (early 1900's) Great video Loose. #cccs
Ah yes I know naplolean hill. He's great. Well researched!
@@rva Always double check what you throw in the bin... (I'm tempted to take a picture of the grin on my face.)
Great reaction. Just subscribed! Please continue with Home Free while (please) using headphones to hear the bass and all voices much better. It‘s worth it 👌🏻
BTW: from left to right:
1. ADAM Rupp - Drum beatboxer
2. ADAM Chance - Baritone (& Bass while Tim sings)
3. TIM Foust - Bass
4. ROB Lundquist - Tenor
5. AUSTIN Brown - High tenor
Note: Tim‘s range is over 5 octaves. *A0 to A5*
Chance is a baritone, not a tenor. ;)
Chance is Baritone.
Of course, just changed it :D
Please listen to more of their videos, their best harmony videos are how great thou art, do you hear what I hear and helplessly hoping. These guys are awesome and sound amazing in every song
If you love harmonies, you HAVE to listen to Home Free Heplessly Hoping, pure Acapella harmonies goodness. :)
Yes, please! Helplessly Hoping!
You should feel those bass tingles in person. They are INTENSE! Love Home Free SOOO much!
Great reaction! Home Free’s talent is just incredible. Please do more :)
Austin Brown is their high tenor who was the "flute like" sound.
Actually, if you watch carefully I think it was actually Adam Rupp doing that sound, and it matches pretty closely his tone when he sang on "How Great Thou Art".
@@Amm1ttai Possilbly so, he did a flute sound in "All On ME" too, I remember that now.
It is Austin Brown, but you are right, Adam Rupp could sing those notes too.
They essentially have 2 basses now that they brought Chance in he is the one doing the bass run in the first verse and he is in fact the baritone. The main base is Tim he is the one that sang the first verse and he a a phenomenal bass he has a 5 octive range, and can go aa low as A0 if i remember correctly.
with Fry he can go C0 i think
The way you're reacting/words you're using in your reaction are so perfect. You say what I feel but can't find words for.
Thank you for reacting. The bass throughout is Tim Foust with a five octave range ... which means he can sing through tenor 1 too. The highest tenor (flute like tones) is Austin Brown.
Please look for & react to some more of their stuff.
Adam Chance actually starts off with the bass part.
That high flute-like voice might be Adam (the drummer 🙂)
I really enjoyed your reaction. Their harmonies are always tight and complex. Do You Hear What I Hear is a wonderful example, as well as How Great Thou Art. Seven Bridges Road has great harmonies and beat boxing. Well, all of their songs do so it is silly to only name a few. They also have a good collection of fun, upbeat songs. Headphones make a big difference, especially to hear the bass and percussion. I hope you will check out more Home Free.
Thanks for reacting to Home Free.. They really are a spectacular group, always perfectly on spot.. Every one of them are extremely talented.
I love Home Free! They did a fabulous job on this. I love your reaction! I have not watched any of your reactions before. It is obvious that you know how to really listen to music. So many get distracted by the video. The human voice is such a wonderful instrument; it is refreshing to see someone appreciate it. Thank you!
Awesome reaction....its great to watch someone analyze a video that really knows what's going on! These 5 guys harmonize like this on every video! I sure hope you do more of their videos! It you want to hear more great harmony....react to their cover of Helplessly Hoping!
Home Free is Adam R., beat boxer, Adam C., baritone, Rob, lead tenor, Austin, tenor 1 and the fabulous Tim Foust on bass. I've been a fan since their very first performance on the Sing-Off. Love these boys.
Alisa LaVine -the baritone/bass is Adam Chance now. Chris Rupp left the group in a May 2016 to pursue other musical avenues.
@@jackmandu yep! I was thinking Adam but typed Chris! Lol Thanks, for catching it!
Tim and Chance's bass really mix well together! Add Austin's smooth high tenor, Rob's beautiful tenor textured, and Adam's vocal percussion MAKE Home Free the BEST acapella group!
Also, please do more Home Free reactions
You would love their version of "How Great Thou Art". If you're into that bass singer (the guy in the middle, Tim Foust), they have TONS of songs that include crazy low notes. My favorite cover of theirs is "Do You Hear What I Hear?". It has a phenomenal harmony structure, and the bass hits notes you can't even comprehend. Their blend is impeccable, they write SO well, and their ability to perform these crazy hard arrangements is unmatched.
Girl, I LOVE these guys!!!! Their “Ring of Fire” is one of my favorite versions of that song EVER!!!!!! And he hits a low note in that song that is other worldly. Please check it out! It’s phenomenal!!!!!
"... does one of this things... you know." - We know, the Bass Orgasm. :D
😅💓
If you want to hear what these guys can do with harmonies, check out their cover of Helplessly Hoping. In my opinion that song has the best harmonies that I have ever heard from them.
I don't know - Seven Bridges Road is way, way up there too.
Helplessly hoping and how great though art are racing each other to the top. Seven bridges Road is good/great, but with all due respect I think they've moved to another league since Adam chance joined.
@@MrBigbadbowen I would have to agree. In this video, they don't do as much harmonizing or fancy stuff, but I believe that is intentional. I think they left this song traditional out of respect for it. They definitely have improved since they were on the Sing Off, some of their earlier stuff is still among my favorites, but I look forward to what they do in the future.
@@stephanginther9051 I think they are very similar to the eagles, both are absolutely precise in their delivery, both are a 5 piece harmony, so in truth I don't think they could develop it much without chewing the song up, I think they did exactly what they should have with 7 bridges Road,
To be honest I didn't think they could ever reach the quality of 'we all want what we ain't got' then 'How Great Though Art' arrives, but then they release 'I can't out run you' then they release 'Mayday', then they release 'Helplessly Hoping' then they come up with 'auld lang syne' each time you think surely this is their best, but then they nock you over with their next piece, it's incredible! (BTW yes the order of the songs maybe slightly wrong but you see what I'm saying)
Can't stress this more! Helplessly Hoping is one of the most incredible piece of music I've heard. It's so pure and gorgeous with the way their harmonies compliment each other! Would LOVE to hear a reaction to that.
I saw them do this (live) in concert without mics. You could hear a pin drop in the theater. totally amazing- magical yes that's the word for it.
I love, love, love your reaction! Thanks so much! If you love harmonies, please react to Home Free's How Great Thou Art (a nice seasonal song!) and also Helplessly Hoping. They are beyond awesome.
PLEASE do more Home Free. How Great Thou Art , O Holy Night, and Amazing Grace w/ Peter Hollens are AMAZING.
Austin has that sweet high tone. Tim is the lowest and Chase is a bass as well. I love all of these Handsome Men of Home Free!! You need to hear more of their songs.
The Singing Carpenters sing a rendition of Mary Did You Know that will bring you to tears!!
Love your reactions. You do know music and understand their arrangements and their intricate layering and what acapella is all about. Be sure to find other of their songs and find some live performances to enjoy their awesome interaction with each other and their fun and funny personalities that go along with their talent! Thanks!
I’ve seen this a few times, and I still love watching you breakdown the finer parts of music knowledge whilst allowing the music to flow through you. Thank you!
Their arranging is AMAZING. You should check their arrangement of Folsom Prison Blues.
I did almost exactly the same things while listening the first time. ;-) At 3:11 where you commented on the overlay, I said out loud to the whole family doing other things around me (I had my headphones on), "Oh...my...gosh...that was a beautiful glissando!" Then my daughter (my husband and I live with our youngest daughter, her husband, and their seven children) came over and I put the speakers on, and we all listened entranced (we have all been Home Free fans for several years, now).
This song is so superb! Timing...theirs is ALWAYS so good, but with all the little nuances in this one, and the emotion-pulling harmonies and overlays...wow! Yes...so amazing, calming, healing, and so much more...thrilling, really!
I do hope you'll do some more Home Free reactions down the line.
Speaking of Peter Hollens. It sounded to me like you really enjoyed Tim's bass here. He and Peter have done a number of duets together:

"The Sound of Silence" (Tim Foust & Peter Hollens)

Just thought of another one (for Christmas, perhaps)

Thanks! I'm lucky to have Peter as a patreon! I have made a video of Peter somewhere floating around on you tube.
Love Home Free and Tim (the bass) is always amazing! Great reaction!
New subscriber. I love your reactions. You also have a wonderful voice plus the fact that you are breathtakingly beautiful doesn't hurt either.
I could feel the resonance through the screen, and have full body chills, so beautiful!
Just how you managed to sing along with Austin (he's the high tenor, which I'm sure someone else has already said too) made me an automatic subscriber! And, yes, we all love Tim's bass. Welcome to a very large, very enthusiastic club! :)
And I love your kitty!!
Homefree are amazing. Absolutely need to react to ‘How great thou art’
I love the smile on your face when Tim starts in with his bass........I know the feeling well. I agree with other recommendations, but one of my favorites is I Can't Outrun You -- amazing vocals, harmonies, and a stunning video is the icing on the cake for me.
OK, that does it! Next life,.... you're mine! Your reaction was as delicious as the harmonies which were served up by Home Free. You, together with their music, make it just that much more enjoyable! Thanks for making my day a little smoother. Wishing you the best of health and cheer for 2022!
Love all that you do! As someone who sings for a living a vocal coach that just enriches life like you do is the dream! All the best
I love you reaction! Since you enjoy the magic in the background along with harmonies, I think you would love Home Free Do You Hear What I Hear. It is a very complicated arrangement put together by their vocal percussionist Adam Rupp and has so many layers. Thank you for your reaction! Your joy and sincerity are bliss.
And Oh Holy Night as well! Very magical!
How Great Thou Art... is my favorite of theirs especially if you love harmony u should listen
Please, please, please....more Home Free reactions!!!!
The voice you were looking for is Austin's, the high tenor (on the right). Actually Home Free has 2 basses : Tim that you heard and Chance who sings barritone here. If you like Peter Hollens, he sang with them several times ! You should react to Amazing grace they did together ;)
Saw them live last weekend they were awesome. Their bass had the entire theater shaking when he hit those low notes. Was fantastic.
You need more HOME FREE in your life!!!!!
Please, please more Home Free !!! They are Amazing. Helplessly Hoping and How Great Thou Art are Great !!
Please react to Home free "how great thou art"
More Home Free!
Their version of Oh Holy Night is also amazing. I would love to hear your review of that song as well. The harmonies are beyond words
I would love to see more Home Free reactions.
Also dear if you want more spine tingling harmonies may i suggest seven bridges road,o holy night, and angels we have heard on high. I definitely agree with my fellow fries on ear phones, especially with helpless hoping. Thanks so much I'm looking forward to it.
Now you've done it. You have stirred up the "Home Fries." You'll never get rid of them now. GRIN. I loved your reaction to Tim's east Texas basso profundo voice, and to the rest of the guys too. You made some really good observations through out. Nicely done. Thank you.
Then try, "Mayday", or"How Great thou art", or "Blue ain't your color", by Home Free...they run, in their own lane, no others compare..
William Cargile helplessly hoping too
I just want to put out there to save Mayday until you have seen a few of their videos so you can really appreciate it.
@@gvhorses2 Yes, absolutely! My mind was blown and I have followed them for ages!
Homefree reminds me so much of the Oakridge Boys in the way their harmonies blend and the warmth of their collective tone.
Holy cow, amazing harmonies
Wow, amazing singign on this classic. :)
Glad you love low notes as much as me! Their version is chill inducing😌
Adam Rupp, the one on the far left, is the Beat Boxer and he's the one that makes all of the musical tones, beats, making it all sound like they have instruments hidden, lol. And yes please do their video of How Great Thou Art. Will amaze!!!!!
Sandra Leonard he’s won many beatboxing contests.
This harmony just DOES it to you man so good. It's exactly the sound I look for when I listen to quartet/accapella but I rarely ever find it. Gonna have to build a Playlist starting with them.
Wish I knew what this sound was called.
Speaking of Peter Hollens, awhile back Peter met Home Free at an A Capella event and was so impressed with them that he approached them about doing a collaboration. The result was ... Amazing Grace - Peter Hollens feat. Home Free ... which has 11 million views on Peters RUclips channel. You might be interested in reacting to it in the future.
The base here, Tim Faust, can hit those *high* notes you talked about. In Home Free's cover of Mayday by CAM, he sings high for nearly the entire song demonstrating his 5 octave range. Please react to their cover of Mayday by CAM.
That high note in the background is Austin Brown the high tenor.
How is it possible you've never heard them before NOW????? We all know what you are only just finding out, they are simply amazing, talented, legendary, ..... did I say amazing???? Hope your Christmas was wonderful and your New Year has started off with a bang!
Hello darling thanks so much for reacting to this one,i love it. First time hearing this one,and i agree with my fellow fries,Home free fans, please do more reactions with them. And dear you haven't heard anything yet, they will renender you speechless. As well as being wonderful people, they are also masterful story tellers as you will see in other videos. Thanks again, and all of us fries would love and truly appreciate it. God bless and hope you have a great day.
Love how your face lights up every time Tim hits those notes!
Loved the reaction! All they do is f'ing beautiful!
Great reaction! Would love more Home Free reactions. They have a ton of great videos for you to choose from.
You should listen to them sing "Do You Hear What I Hear?". The beatboxer only sings in "Auld Lang Syne". He arranged "Do You Hear What I Hear?" and does beatbox in it, plus the harmonies are just as good as if not better.
Thanks for your reaction
I love how the bass part is sung by the baritone when the bass sings lead. I think the guy who normally beat-boxes sings the baritone part while the baritone is singing bass or lead. Nicely arranged!
Your smile 😍😍😍
The more you hear from them, the more you will want. "Mayday" is great!
You mentioned Peter Hollens. He and Tim Foust have some absolutely incredible, magical videos together (check out "Misty Mountains" and "The Sound of Silence"). Home Free guests on Peter's "Amazing Grace" which is jaw dropping.
The gentleman sitting at the mix board in this video is Darren Rust who has done amazing arrangements for the group including the magnificent "How Great Thou Art". While it's hard to pick out a favorite "Do You Hear What I Hear" is a total tour de force with superb writing by Adam Rupp and floor shaking bass from Tim Foust. You're in for a great ride with Home Free!!!
Love that you like them. They're great, just as many more are, exceptional!!!!
Love seeing you so excited about their voices and harmonizing
How and why i haven’t seen this on the day you uploaded the video! I love it when vocal coaches reacts to them! ♥️♥️🤩 absolutely beautiful
hey dear sorry got caught up in my love and appreciation for our boys. I truly enjoyed your insight and analysis, you have a very beautiful voice yourself, and i didn't mind you pausing the video. I personally appreciate that,it shows respect for who you are listening to,and allows your viewers to understand what you are saying. Thanks again I'm so looking forward to what you think about the next one.Merry Christmas to you and your family. God bless and hope you have a great day.
I heard the first few notes and immediately teared up. It blew me away I love music....
Rebecca, acapella has been my favorite vocal endevour for about the last 30 years. As you might expect, some are much better than others but the groups that I've sung with over the last 50-60 years have struggled to polish their harmonies. Unfortunately, the best of intentions rarely result in that superb stellar ringing tone matched to the perfect rolling bass in support. BUT... I know it when I hear it and it just doesn't get any better (in my humble experience) than the five gentlemen in "Home Free!" I started watching & listening to them when they were competing and won the NBC vocal contest and they have steadily improved in the last 3-4 years, dramatically!!! This is just the best I've ever heard. As someone recommended, listen to "How Great Thou Art" also. You will be impressed... I promise you!!! Thanks for your review. I enjoyed hearing your evaluation.
Chills! On a Home Free Jag lately, so Happy that you are Too!
YESS MORE HOME FREE PLEASE!!!
6:40 I LOVE THE PERSON WHOEVER DOES THAT RIFF!
One thing I love about listening to Home Free is their pure sound together.
I often listen to them and reflect back to when I had the opportunity to sing in accompaniment in a quartet. I am baritone/tenor range.
I am not shy per say..
but I have never really liked people making a fuss over my singing capabilities and the compliments and accolade were never a part I could get use to or enjoy.
I loved to sing for the enjoyment of it and singing in quartet allowed that opportunity with that dynamics of mixed vocal talents of varied ranges.
We sang throughout central and northern California and a few times in Nevada and a couple times in southern California as well.
We sang together for about 2 and a half years.. then I took time away because it seemed we were on a course about popularity and such. As said I dont care for the popularity or praises and whatever..I just wanted to sing for the pleasures of singing. We sang a variety of different music..much by request..
Some were gospel hymns and whatever...I am not religious by any standard..I am Anti-theist. And to me those religious pieces were just songs..but many took them otherwise. That parting or break ended up permanent. I changed jobs and that required much of my time.
But I still reflect at all the good times I had and sharing that love for singing and harmonizing.
It was in the quartet I met my ex wife..lol. she heard us practicing a piece where I had a solo.. and asked a friend there who was inside singing.. she was instantly drawn to my voice..he let her in to listen... what really surprised her was that she saw this guy standing 5 ft 5in and long hippyish hair down to his lower back .. who had this voice she imagined belonged to someone else entirely different.
You bring me so much joy just watching your reactions.... keep them coming PLEASE
Tim has phenomenal range too. They're one of my favorite acapella groups. Sidenote. I'm liking the bear on Austin. You should check out their version of 'do you hear what I hear. The arrangement is wonderful. I "think' the flute voice was Rob. It's possible it was Austin.
Every song they do is awesome. How Great Thou Art, Seven Bridges Road, All About That Bass, My Church.....the list just keeps going! Love your reaction when you first hear Tim’s bass and then another grin when you hear it the second time!
Their version of "Amazing Grace" will bring you to tears.
I just found these guys about a week ago, and I having so much fun listening to professionals react to them. Just reinforcing the fact that I was blown away by them. Cannot get enough of them or people reacting to them.
I absolutely go crazy seeing you reacting to singers OH. MY. GOD
Please do more Home Free!! I absolutely love them and your reactions ❤️
