In my humble opinion, Home Free has the best vocal harmonies in all of A Capella
agree
Then you should check og3ne, girls group from the Netherlands. 3 sisters 😁
I would suggest Voctave too
Agree completely. I was all about Pentatonix until I heard Home Free. Still love Pentatonix, but Home Free are just vocally superior.
Yes! With For a long time my favourite A Capella group was The Real Group and I still love them, But Home free are on another level from everyone else. I'm so happy to have seen both groups live and even talked to the members of each groups and the members of each group mentioned their admiration for the other groups talent which I really loved to hear!
You should totally check out their cover of “Helplessly Hoping “. It’s incredible!
I second this.
Yep... Third it.
Fourthed!! The harmonies in Helplessly Hoping are beyond awesome.
Fifthed!!
whatever number, I support this!
Time for you to go on a Home Free binge. They will blow you away. Seen them in concert several times at the Alaska State Fair. They are great on video, they are even better in person!
Welcome to the world of Home Free and their many fans (Home Fries.) I sure hope you react to more of their covers and originals!! Thank you!
Love your reaction. Pleasure to watch. I saw Home Free live last September and they're stunning. One of the best times ever. Please do more Home Free you have so many fabulous songs to enjoy. Thank you 💜
So the base's name is Tim Foust, he actually can sing tenor. He has a 5 octave range. Believe it or not, they stick close to the traditional in this cover, skipping the fancy stuff. Look at their other newer stuff to really see what they can do. I think they were being respectful by not changing it too much. If you want to see how *high* their base can go, he sings high for nearly the entire song in their cover of 'Mayday' by CAM. Adam Chance is the short haired guy without glasses. though he works as Home Free's low baritone, he sang base in his last group, Tim has been teaching him to go lower and he takes the base roll in Mayday.
Mayday is definitely a must, but it was recommended to me to watch a few others first in order to appreciate the wow factor in Mayday. I think it was good advise.
Foust
Tim "Foust"
It's bass... NOT base, you moron.
@Robin H Austin has said Tim can sing as high as him when he's done the introduction of Tim in concert. What do you exactly mean classically trained? Do you mean he was trained with proper technique? Does Tim not have proper technique? Do you mean Austin had formal training or is it the style of music he has experience singing? If so, just because you can sing theater music or you had a singing instructor doesn't mean you are a better singer or can sing higher than someone who hasn't. If you put the work in you can learn and train yourself with proper technique, just as Tim has to get his 5 octave range. He has said that he learned to read music and use proper technique from his A Cappella bandmates who went to music collage early on in his career and he worked very hard at it. Tim doesn't always sing with a twang, it's a style choice. Same as Austin. And if you mean college training, both Adam and Chris Rupp have a BA in Music but they can't sing as high as Austin. As far as I know, Austin doesn't have a college degree in music. So your point doesn't make any sense any way you look at it.
Thanks so much for your time!!!...and so good to hear a coach appreciate Austin's beautiful belting voice!!:) Please listen to more Home Free... they are all soooo talented!
Austin is amazing. I love his voice. He always sings with so much emotion.
Ikr. I feel like every member of the group is under appreciated except Tim and this is not good!!! They’re all talented and it’s sad that favoritism happens.
I really enjoy watching as someone discovers Home Free. Your facial expressions said it all! I love their arrangement of this song...very traditional but with enough subtle changes to make it fresh. Thanks for the reaction.
You really need to hear more of them. Especially How Great Thou Art. Filmed at the foot of the Austrian Alps the scenery combined with their harmonies … incredible.
How Great Thou Art is my absolute favorite Home Free performance.
Thank you for the Home Free reaction!! They have such amazing harmonies in all their music that you truly don’t miss the instruments!!
I’d love to see you react to their covers of Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, & Seven Bridges Road to start with.
Thanks again for showing the Home Free guys some love!!
Wait til you see their beatboxer in action. I love that this is the only a capella group that does all country. Since they added Chance (the last to take the lead in this song) they are heavily loaded with bass. Many of their songs now have such a lush low register.
Home Free dropped their cover of End Of The Road and it is a great tribute to B2M. Rob and Austin, the tenors just kill this song. It's a wonderful version I know you will love. I'ld love to see your reaction.
Loved this reaction. Home Free is incredible. I agree with the others who are saying to react to more Home Free videos. Their cover of Helplessly Hoping is beautiful, the harmonies are wonderful.
Love Home Free so much. Their harmonies and range are to die for. Would love to see you react to more by them.
Thanks for the home free. Please do more. They are awesome! the videos are unreal
i love your reaction..Home Free is a freaking awesome group...do more..lol
yes pls react more of homefree
If you want to hear Tim get REALLY low, react to their version of Do You Hear What I Hear. Headphones are needed to fully appreciate it. Jaw-dropping good!
Great reaction to a great group! Thanks for doing this one, always glad to see Home Free get attention. I would love to see more reactions to their work. Thanks!
Thanks for this terrific reaction .I love HOME FREE, I get to go see them live in July!! PLERASE do more HOME FREE
You should definitely listen to more Home Free! Mayday gives you a feel for Tim Foust's range (the bass) and their harmonies are always wonderful to listen to!
Amazing react! Please do more reacting of this amazing Acapella Group,i love this group so much!!!! TY Adam!!!
I loved your reaction. The guys left to right Adam Rupp- beatboxer (although he is singing in this one he is an extraordinarily good beatboxer), Adam Chance- sings mostly baritone for Home Free but has a 4-octave range, Tim Foust their bass singer has a 5+ octave range, Rob Lundquist tenor and Austin Brown-high tenor. Since both Tim Foust, and Adam Chance go from bass to tenor they give a great deal of flexibility to their music. Adam Rupp does a 10 min beatbox solo in their live shows. You should listen to one of them. To hear Adam Chance as the lead I would listen to I can't outrun you. For Tim as the lead--yikes there are so many I love. My church, Hillbilly bone or everyone's favorite Ring of Fire. I prefer the sing-off version. For Rob singing the lead try Blue ain't your color but there is a new one coming out any day with Rob as lead which is amazing! For Austin singing lead my favorite was only done live it's Les Misérables "Bring Him Home" Mankato, MN 12-20-2015, Colder Weather. For all of them, I'd say, Man of constant sorrow or Thinking Out Loud / Let's Get It On. For more extraordinary harmonies How Great they Art or Helplessly Hoping. Sorry, that list got so long. You really can't go wrong with what you choose.
Imo Rupp is without a doubt one of the best beatboxers in the world. Foust is also one of the most versatile bassists in all of singing. Alot of base singers can go as low or lower but they just cant sing good or flow the way tim does. Im truly happy i found this acapella band. Without a doubt, to me, this is the best band out there right now.
Mr. Mishan, your expressions while watching this video were absolutely precious 😊... I'm a recent fan of Home Free and now a new fan of yours 👍... Happy New Year! 🤗
If you want to get a real feel for what Home Free can do, check out Do You Hear What I Hear, Hillbilly Bone, Seven Bridges Road, Mayday and My Church. But nothing compares to actually seeing them in person. Tim the bass will rattle your bones!
Happy New Year! These fellows have done well here. Their arrangement of Man of Constant Sorrow is well sung also. There is a live video out as well as the official video. Man of Constant Sorrow (Home Free) 03-03-18. They do use a looper here, but with this one and their live Castle on the Hill, Home Free "Castle on the Hill" Timeless CD Release Concert at Pantages Theatre in MN, it just enhances the performance. Thank you! ^_^
I recommend I Can't Outrun You. Amazing vocals and video
I love your reaction please do more I suggest maybe do their journey of the sing off they won season 4 us home fries are allways looking for new reactors oh yeah new sub here too
Yay! Please do more Home Free!!! The bass Tim Foust, has a 5 octave range and his lowest recorded note is A0. I also suggest wearing headphones next time, it makes such a huge difference.
What a great way to start the New Year! With a great reaction from a new Home Free reactor! You really didn't need to say much....your facial expressions said it all! I hope you do more HF reactions! Now you need to watch a video where their beat boxer Adam Rupp (far left) and founding member gets to shine! Please react to Some Girls Do or Mayday! My Church is another great video! This video is great.....but you really haven't seen anything thing yet! These 5 guys are the best of the best! Oh and I did hit the sub button! Hope to see more HF reactions from you!
Tim Foust (the bass) is a true basso profundo. To hear more of his voice and the harmonies, check out “How great thou art.”
Watching peoples reactions who not only love music but are professional coaches in the industry make me happy. Watching their facial reactions and the delight that it brings to them as they watch it. Adam's face at times shows he's just blown away and/or mesmerized by what he's watching and listening to.
I love that you reacted to this Home Free song on New Years Eve. In addition to the awesome songs that have already been recommended, Do You Hear What I Hear would definitely top my list. Can't Stop The Feeling is a good example of their fun personalities and the arrangements they pull off. I could go on and on, but I'll stop and wish you a Happy New Year.
You should check out their cover of "Helplessly Hoping"
Listen to them sing How Great Thou Art. They recorded it in the Austrian Alps and the harmonies are amazing as well as the scenery.
You need to check out their cover of Mayday....the bass and the baritone will amaze you. Or their cover of In the Blood.
Every song Home Free does has the most amazing tight harmonies, you should check out - How Great thou Art or In the Blood by them
You really should do more of Home Free. These guys are insanely talented. Next you should have a look at MAYDAY oder HELPLESSLY HOPING.
Great reaction. If you want to hear a really tricky set a vocals from them try their live version of Joy To the World Hosanna Concert (Dec 2013) - some minor jazz sick harmonies.
Agreed! It is also a lot of fun and very creative.
Makes me wonna cry and im not weak at all... But this shit hurts bad.... Its so great😭😭😭😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏💘💘💘
Whatever number I am I very much support "Helplessly Hoping" . The song is amazing, just not long enough !!
If you want to hear some sick harmonies you should listen to Home Free's cover of Hopelessly hoping
A Home Free video to start 2019 yes ! Do more ! Happy new year ;)
Please, please do more Home Free reactions, they are an amazing group. Wait until you hear Adam Rupp kick butt with his beat boxing. The man is a freak of nature. I'd love to see you do something more up tempo. ❤
Great reaction! Please react to more Home Free. There are A LOT of videos :)
btw: I really recommend wearing headphones to hear those different voices (including of course the bass) even better.
You should definitely react to Home Free's Ring of Fire (specifically the one with Avi Kaplan). I would love to hear your reaction to the sustained low notes.
Love your reaction! Home Free is an extremely talented group. I would love to see your reactions to more of their songs. Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, didn’t sing in this song but does sing in How Great Thou Art which has impressive harmonies. Helplessly Hoping and Man of Constant Sorrow are great for vocals. Do You Hear What I Hear is an absolutely fantastic arrangement. Just choose any Home Free song - I guarantee you’ll be impressed.
"Good representation of the voice types clearly delineated here" definitely. Their harmonies are wonderful. You need to watch Mayday to see another version of their voice types. Love your reactions as I learn so much. I'm not a singer so I just know that I love the sound they make & you explain the intricacies I never new were there. Thanks
OK, so I made it here a lil late...... Great reaction, loved it!!! --- Yes, this is very impressive (and so good). But........haha..... ya ain't seen nothin' yet! Just sayin' :) ............. I do have one request --- should you continue with HF reactions -------------- PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE hold off on Mayday...... huh? Get to know them 1st (who does what)!!! The Mayday performance is very significant ...... and wouldn't want you to loose that. ---- HF is exceptionally phenomenal (they are so very rare!)
Waiting on the next one... (please don't rob yourself the experience of Home Free)
Home Free has a new video out covering "End of the Road"! It's awesome!
I agree! I'm totally blown away every time I hear them sing. They are the best vocal band out there IMO. Please react to HF singing How Great Thou Art and Brothers in Arms, and Tim Foust singing I Can't Help Falling in Love With You (audio only).
You need more Home Free in your life! Check out “How Great Thou Art”, filmed in the Austrian Alps while they were on tour in Europe!
Home Free never disappoints!
This was an amazing reaction 👏 But please, react to their Mayday cover🤞
The tenor: Austin Brown is classically trained, & is incredible to say the least ! Tim Foust can blow your socks off with as Low as he can go!!! Yes, he has blown speakers out ...LOLOL!!! Enjoy delving into their talented voices!!! They have some Wonderful videos !!!
There are so many more sides to Home Free, great covers and originals, from serious to hilarious please, please do more - you will not be disappointed. 🎶
Love it and Them so much! Happy New Year and I hope you react to More Home Free they are so Amazing!😍✌🏻🥂
Do more HOME FREE!!! You need to watch their version of "Ring of Fire" by Johnny cash!
I've never enjoyed anything as much a I'm loving my Home Free journey. Man they are awesome.
Tim's range is unbelievable..you've got to react to more Home Free! How Great Thou Art, Ring of Fire (Live), Mayday (Where Tim takes the lead), Helplessly Hoping.
Please react to more Home Free!!
I just thought of something you will enjoy. Greensleeves covered by Peter Hollens and Tim Foust. They recorded it in a one-take at sunset on a rugged Oregon coast. Peter Hollens does wonderful overlays of harmonies, but he and Tim singing as a duet are just sublime. They also do a moving version of Bridge Over Troubled Waters that will take your breath away. I would love to hear what you think of these two singing together.
Their version of How Great Thou Art is stunning.
Hello sir, thank you for your informative and positive review of this wonderful rendition of Auld Lang Syne! I also loved this rendition of it! Take care and God Bless!
Please do more home free
Love Home Free's version of this song. love everything they do! Pkease react to How Great Thou Art and Brothers In Arms.
Your reaction to Tim is the same as everybody else. Totally amazing. To hear more of his incredible range, check out his collaboration with Peter Hollens singing Bridge Over Troubled Water. And wear a seat belt.
I came to the party late... LOL.. Thanks for the reaction to Home Free... They really are a phenomenal group.. They all do great at taking the lead in different songs, except Adam Rupp who is the beatboxer.. He does sing, but not usually the lead.. Make sure you listen to more of their music.. They do such a wide range of music..
try helplessly hoping and hillbilly bone by home free 2 entirely different song and styles but it gives you an idea of what they can do
Another Amazing Video Bro
3:16 God almighty that is incredible! *chills*
4:27 Yep, that's the look on my face every time I listen to Home Free, and it's been years! : )
When that last note finally stops, it almost HURTS to hear the silence!
I've followed some of your other videos (Marc Martel), and I'm so happy to see that you're now reacting to Home Free as well. I would love if you'd react to their Sing Off performances. I know you prefer it live, and it truly shows what they're capable of as a band. Here's a link minus the talking: ruclips.net/video/7Hd3TtA-suo/видео.html
Happy New Year from Denmark.
Don't forget, "How Great Thou Art," too!
Such heavenly harmonies.
If you like harmonies, you need to listen to Helplessly hoping by them.
Acapella groups like Pentatonix, Home Free, Voice Play etc.. shows off the bass singers a lot.
You need to do more home free, especially o holy night and Elvira
You look speechless Adam ❤️
Tim Foust is a super bass he has a 5 octave voice
Headphones always
More “HOME FREE”. Thanks.
Try Home Free How Great Thou Art absolutely beautiful
The bass is not just "a bass", he's a singer and can sing quite high too. Tim Foust, please check out His range in a duet he does, a one-take with Peter Hollens on Peter Hollen's channel the song "Greensleeves" I enjoyed your analysis thank you, I did subscribe because I do want to see more of these videos.
Please check out Home Free's cover of "Helplessly Hoping", they have the best and clearest harmonies in that and the bass is amazing!
I heard them do this live off mic as an encore. There are no words.
yeah so perfect the song is so beautifull
Adam Chance put the cherry on top at the end. 5 part harmony with Adam Rupp singing with them instead of beat boxing.
Best rendition of this beautiful song
You should definitely check out Tim Foust (the bass') a capela solo version of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay where he showcases his 5 octave range beautifully.
Although PTX is incredibly talented, I think Home Free is better.
Both groups are incredibly talented, but I also prefer HF's sound, voices and song choices.

Please react to Home Free Mayday!!! You may also want to check out Tim Foust singing "Can't Help Falling in Love with You." Ooooo.... actually also watch Peter Hollens with Tim Foust sing Greensleeves!!!
For one hell of an arrangement and even better vocals and harmonies listen to their version of 'Do You Hear What I Hear?'.
Kia Ora from New Zealand! Love your videos Adam :)
If you really wanna get the full affect of their voices you should really wear headphones or earbuds.
You should listen to these guys with head phones or ear buds to really hear their harmonies. You’re really missing out if you don’t.
Outstanding!
The guy on the far right , Austin, is their High Tenor. You should check out their live version of him singing lead on "Bring Him Home" from Les' Miserable. Amazing!
Their cover of O' Holy Night is what made me a fan of Home Free. The Bass, Tim, and the High Tenor, Austin, sing the lead. Austins performance in the second verse is AMAZING!
