I got to meet them my senior year a few years ago. They came to my choir class and lemme tell ya they are just as amazing in person. They are very insightful and talented. Each one individually is insanely gifted and that day has resonated with ever since. They are one of the reasons I pursue music. Probably the most genuine, humble, down to earth group of men I have ever met. They definitely did not let the fame go their heads or change them. They truly do this because it’s a passion and touches others rather than for the wrong reasons. Truly blessed
IMO, nothing will ever replace the original magic from hearing Boyz 11 Men sing this masterpiece, & I am so happy that Home Free, was able to keep the original integrity of the song, yet still inject a little of their own magic, allowing us, to fall in love with it, all over again 💕 *I don't believe any other group, other than Home Free, could have pulled this off* 💕
The beatboxer is Adam Rupp, he sounds like a drum kit. They call him a "freak of nature" and he can sing too. The background hum was the baritone and the bass at times too. The bass is well known in the acapella world and can go ungodly low. The group works well together. Can you also check out their cover of "Blue Ain't Your Color."
Home Free is an incredible group! Very rarely is a group or artist able to cover a song comparable to the original artist. These gifted and talented young men nailed this classic. I am certain that they made Boyz to Men quite proud with their rendition of "The End of The Road."
loved the reaction. I always feel like im sharing my favorite toy when i find someone reaction during the first time they hear them. Seeing the reactions when you realize how good they are.
You got me when you stopped to clap!!!! That's how I always feel listening to them. In April going to my 6th live show and they are out of this world live! Fun, funny, you leave feeling fantastic! Adam is the beat boxer and at live shows he does about a 9 minutes of all the things he can do -- you sit there shaking your head the entire 9 mins!!! Thanks for this great reaction! This new one is one of my favorites! Probably have watched it now 20 times!
I highly, highly recommend Home Free's 'How Great Thou Art'. The arrangement is genius! Adam Rupp sings (percussionist/beat boxer), so it is 5 vocal parts. I can no longer listen to their arrangement of this song when I am driving, because I will start crying...it's that beautiful! Home Free is incredibly unique. Tim Foust is a true bass, baritone, tenor, alto and soprano! There are many videos on RUclips that show his range A0-A5! Adam Chance is a bass/baritone and he and Tim will switch back and forth on the bass line and sometimes do a bass harmony (Hillybilly Bone has a few measures where they do this). Rob Lindquist has such a pure, angelic tone. He brought something different to this song, it was a deeper, soulful angst tone. And then there is Austin Brown. He has a voice of gold with bright, metallic tones...once one hears him sing, its not forgotten. A perfect example of this tone quality is on Home Free's 'Country Fried Pop Medley' on the part where 'Jealous' is sung. The members of Home Free are professional musicians. I know Adam and Rob have music degrees, not sure about the others. They are on the road touring most of the year. I sang in accapella groups (and competed) all through my undergraduate degree, and I can clearly state there is no accapella group out there that can bring to the table what Home Free does! I absolutely recommend watching the videos others have mentioned on this thread! 'Mayday' and 'In the Blood' are two of my most favorite songs/videos!
Please do more Home Free!!! They have alot of fans out here that can't get enough of them. Since you have a love train going on here, you might as well react to their "Love Train" video. Also, I suggest you wear headphones so you can hear the bass. I loved your reaction and thank you for not talking throughout the video, much appreciated :)
You should start doing Home Free videos, they have a ton of them and everything they touch is gold. And you will get a following of Home Fries on your channel because there is nothing that fans of Home Free like to do more than watch other people react to them. Oh and you mentioned that its a love train on this channel, Home Free has done a cover of the O'Jays Love Train haha.
OK. ...so I am a HUGE Boys II Men fan - saw them in Birmingham (UK) many years ago, without Michael bless him 😢... and I initially thought uh oh! BUT... these guys nailed it...I loved it Marc. and that bass tone - my toes curled up lol - great reaction thanks 😊💕👍

This is such a great cover of this song. Home Free won the 4th season of the Sing Off. Shawn Stockman of Boyz ll Men was a judge and he was a big fan of these guys. I think he would be proud if he heard this. I hope you'll do more of their music. Man of Constant Sorrow and My Church would be good next time, then Butts Remix just for fun.
Thanks for the HF. The more you listen to them the more you will enjoy. Adam could be the best beat boxer in the world. These guys are unreal. The videos are awesome as well. Thanks for the reaction!
Such an authentic reaction. I was a huge Boyz II Men fan, and was quite skeptical that a country group could fill the bill. But, man, they killed it. Been a Home Free fan since.
These fellows are awesome! Try their arrangements for Man of Constant Sorrow, How Great Thou Art and their original Good Ol' Boy Good Time. Or for some humor The Butts Remix, Champagne Taste (on a beer budget) or All About That Bass. Thank you! ^_^
I'm new to your channel, but I plan to hang around. Just subscribed. Love these guys, they are so talented and I don't think there's anything they can't do. I hope you do more of their videos in the future. Thank you!
They are amazing aren't they? I wonder what Boys II Men think of this rendition. I love to listen to them (not so much of their country music) but this is an amazing performance. It's so full of soul. I am happy you are becoming a youtuber. Good luck Caroline
Home Free are insane, and this video only shows a small amount of their talent. The bass (Tim Foust) is incredible (he didn't even drop to his lower register here), the beat boxer is insane..This is all done without ANY instruments.... you HAVE to watch more.. All of their songs surprise in different ways.
They are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Home Free & friends Ptx are the 2 BestSelling MostViewed All Vocal Bands in the world, w/sold-OUT global concerts! They started our soul/pop, now more Country-ish/soul/pop! Amazing, live!
Okay, watching your face listen to these guys and actually KNOW what you are listening to since you're in a group, is so cool. I loved watching as you picked up on all of the little things that they were doing. I love Home Free, and I love watching someone who knows good voices when they hear them. Right on, dude. Great reaction video, this is what it should be--genuine. You earned a sub from me. You gotta react to their cover of Ring of Fire--you'll *love* the bass.
awesome reaction and review sir!! Thank u! i really enjoy the group Home free and was looking for reactions to this song ..which led me to your video!! i loved your message in addition to your review! you've got a new fan and follower in me sir! Take care and...Peace"!!!
We Home Free fans are known as Home-Fries, just to let you know. The beat-boxer's name is Adam Rupp, you should react to his drum solo clip if you like beat boxing, he's a freak of nature. Also My Church, Mayday, We Just Disagree, Love Train, heck everything they do is great. But you have to check out their Butt's Remix...
Love your reaction, Home Free is incredible. You mentioned love train - you have to do their version of Love Train, the beatboxer does an awesome job! Their bass is the best (5 octave range). Keep the Home Free coming and the Home Fries will be here watching. Choose any of their videos - you won’t be disappointed. Butts Remix (Butts Medley) is fun and an outstanding arrangement.

Blue Ain't Your Color is a great suggestion!
Check out their cover of Man of Constant Sorrow. Adam does some amazing things with his voice on that track too.

Wow the best cover version of that song that I've heard other than the original artists themselves period! Amazing 👍

Tim Foust has a 5 octave range voice where he can go high tenor and super low bass. So headphones are a must in order to hear that low low bass
