    A lovely place to go for a walk near the sea. You were lucky to see the Eider males, I only saw females during my visit to Hampton last August. Beautiful and relaxing video. Thanks ! Have a good week Brenda. Hugs and blessings. 🤗

      Nothing like Ocean Therapy. The parking lot for Black Point is small and the beach parking lot is crowded come summer,, I wouldn’t want to go them. We usually go this time of year when it’s peaceful. I love the RI Rocky coast. Oh ya it the walls could talk 😉

    I thought you had arrived in our Scarborough Brenda!!! Ours does have castle ruins and is a fishing resort and is only a couple of hours away from us on the North Sea coast. Nice to find you have some ruins with that name on Rhode Island. I thought you might have snow with you as we heard the east side of USA was getting some. We have been lucky near us but it is getting much colder today. Enjoy the rest of your week. Warm greetings, Julie.

    What was the old ruin for? Scarborough haha thats funny. We have one in England as well. Its a large town and it all sits on the side of a cliff. Its a cool town. The roads go everywhere up, down, tunnels, bridges, all over the place is amazing.

    I'm pretty sure that place was open in 1971...it was a seafood restaurant..parking was on the south side and there used to be dunes all along until about where condos r across the street ..that's where the beachcomber bar was..right across from them on the water side was another old building they raised up on stilts after the restaurant got smashed by waves for the 100th time..the old pillars from the old entrance are still there where the smaller house was to the left or nw of the big house..that stone foundation is still there..the entrance used to have big gates on it but it's always been blocked off since i can remember. .that place should be saved......put the narragansett library there...

      I bet it was lots of fun back then. Would be nice if they fixed it up. Thanks for sharing all the info with me. I appreciate it. I’m from Mass,,, I’m so missing RI can’t wait until we can go back to RI. I’m on the border and it’s nuts. Have a great weekend.

    Best place to park your car get to the ruins would be? Ty

    • @NaturesFairy
      @NaturesFairy  5 месяцев назад +1

      Off season Scarborough Beach Narragansett or down the street at Black Point,, which is where we park,, its a nice short walk out with great views from the rocks! I believe you would have to pay parking at the beach in the summer! More peaceful off season!

    • @kathynassa9974
      @kathynassa9974 5 месяцев назад

      @@NaturesFairy we are thinking of a photo shoot there early morning like before sunrise. Would Black Point entrance have enough parking for like 10 cars? Much more peaceful off season I agree but this will be in June unless I can get them to change the date. Ty

    • @NaturesFairy
      @NaturesFairy  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@kathynassa9974 Its not a very big parking lot. Maybe 10-12 cars? Fisherman go there,, so not sure you can find enough parking spots?? The beach would have a lots of parking,, I have no idea when they open that parking area?? Sounds fun to do a photo shoot there! Good Luck!!

    • @NaturesFairy
      @NaturesFairy  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@kathynassa9974 Darn YT my reply didnt go thru... maybe 10-12 spots at Black Point,, fisherman park there so it can fill up fast! I dont know when the beach parking lot opens during the swim season. Its a cool place,, have fun!!

      @@NaturesFairy we will probably be going before sunrise so super early. Hopefully we can park at Black Point. But you know those fishermen…. Early bird catches the cod. 😂😂

    Brenda, I was amazed at the fascinating Scarborough Ruins. What was this stone building in its prime? I don't think it was the site of Scarborough Fair. I didn't see Simon and Garfunkel! 😉 Even so, it's an impressive sight! The shore with the crashing waves and ducks was relaxing, peaceful and beautiful! Thank you for sharing your trip to Narragansett with us! All the best to you and Chris! We are keeping you in our thoughts every day!

    • @NaturesFairy
      @NaturesFairy  5 лет назад

      Thanks so much John.. I have read many things about this place.. it was once a Restaurant that sold Lobster,, it had three fires and was privately owned then the state took over. These walls could share good stories I bet. Your funny about Simon and Garfunkel LOL!! You are so kind to me I am very grateful!! I made a video with an update will post next week. It was way longer than I wanted it to be. HUGS to you and LULU!!
