Whoa!!! Last night 11pm my kitty outside... 10 minutes later I hear her ungodly screaming and screeching, like this. I ran outside yelling her name... she came back in a state of distress, hissing, growling like a dog, pacing around like a lion. Poor kitty is still traumatized. No open wounds, but she's hiding in a closet downstairs. New England has some scary creatures out at night! Thanks for this auditory video. Excellent. 😭
Wow, someone on RUclips actually recorded the sounds of a fisher cat 👍🏻 every single other video has fox sounds saying it’s a fisher cat when it’s just a red fox. Good job
I was going to say the same thing our flock of ducks and chickens got attacked and we heard noises the other night and it didn’t quite sound like a fox and now this matches up!!!
@@samanthafranklin7302 right? Living somewhere that has both, you always hear foxes and can clearly tell the difference 👍🏻 foxes do sound creepy, but not at all as creepy as fisher cats 👻
I spoke with a friend that was hunting here in northern New York and came upon a Fisher in a tree and he said it barked at him and made a noise very similar to the bark of a fox.
I just heard this outside my window … but I can guaranty that i saw 2 cats …. Not sure if they were fighting , doing it , or hunting but as soon as I approached them they both ran n the noice stopped
Thanks for your sacrifice lol 💀 This is so cool but it would be very annoying and scary. I have no clue if this would work on fishers, but when there's alley cats fighting outside my house and they won't shut up, i legit yell out my window at them to shut up and stop fighting. Just keep yelling random stuff at them until they're more worried about getting away from me than fighting each other. It works lol
@@isaiahjauregui7166 Fishers belong to the mustelid family and none of them scream. These are definitely feline screams. Search on bobcat or Lynx sounds and you will recognize the sounds immediately.
Fishers don't scream. Everyone that claims they've heard a fisher "cat" scream has never actually *seen* one scream. Actual experts who have worked extensively with fishers say they never scream. No other mustelids scream. I've spent many hours researching fishers and have never found evidence of them screaming. These are not fishers. Sounds more like some kind of feline.
Saw/heard a pair of them come charging out of the woods tonight when we were setting a trot line from a canoe; not sure if they were fighting each other, or trying to scare us off from a den or food source. Whatever the reason, they sure as hell made some crazy sounds - crashed through the brush hard enough that we thought we'd angered a bear. and then made the wildest sounds. But they were different from these; hard to describe, but not nearly as "catty" if that makes sense. Almost more of an angry grunting yell. All I know is I was *really* glad to be off-shore in a boat, on the opposite side of the cove from them when they broke through the brush.

Except Fisher Cats don't scream. Those are feline screams, probably bobcats.
I noticed this too lmao
"F off!" "No, you!" A couple of old fisher weasels having an argument!
No fisher cat. More likely a pair of Bob cats or Domestic cats

I saw a video on Facebook then I had to come here and look up the sounds to figure out what I heard. 😭
Definitely bobcats
Sound much more like bobcats
Fishers are NOt Cats. they are called Fishers part of the weasil family.
You’re right, but a common name for them in rural areas (at least in rural New England where I grew up) is Fisher Cats.
Ya sure they’re not lynxs? Look them up here. There’s a good video of two facing off on a road.
Their fisher cats

How do you know it’s a fisher cat?
Fishers are not cats, therefore they should only be called Fishers.
