Did he cork his bat? YES Did he take PED's? Maybe Did he play his boombox too loud in the Clubhouse? For Sure. I have been a Cub fan my entire life and Sammy Sosa's tenure with the Cubs was the most exciting, entertaining period in modern Cubs history with the exception of the 2016 Championship season. Personally, I have witnessed his love for all children and how he treats people. He is a good man. To Tom Ricketts, Please settle the stalemate, end the conflict, and embrace this guy back into the fold. He deserves to be in the Cubs Hall of Fame for sure as well as Cooperstown.

Why don't I see that same case against Mark M? Sammy Sosa was a great players. raised a fan base that had been dormant for many years. I bring joy to the stadium and its surroundings. He was the most important figure after Michael Jordan. It will take more than 100 years to see a player like that again.

@@Blasterbreakguy Bonds definitely should be, dude was incredible. Maybe for Sosa and McGuire. We saw what Sammy was like without the needle in 03, and that ended in spandex in his shrunken sleeves and a humiliating corked bat. He was an average to slightly above average player who juiced himself into being one of the greats. Based on the era, I get it but, MAN he hit an awful lot of flyouts to the warning track when the testing started.

Sammy Sosa is the reason I and so many others are baseball fans. Cubs org should be welcoming him back with open arms for all he did for Chicago with bringing young fans into the game. Where would this franchise be without him? How much money did his name generate for the team in the late 90s and early 00s? Listening to him speak about how much he loves the fans just makes it that much more necessary that Cubs welcome him back. How many Sosa jerseys would they sell if they welcomed him back to the team in some capacity? He could join Marquee as a personality or just have him roam the home games mingling with the fans, which i think would provide a great experience as well. With all of the revenue generating actions this team has taken in recent years, i would think they would want to take this easy win to generate even more money.

Sammy and Macguire are living legends, they helped save baseball when it was dying, we can say that baseball is divided into two stages, before Sammy and Macguire and after Sammy and Macguire. What they achieved will never be forgotten, no matter the criticism, they rescued baseball, they gave a new twist to baseball and to the new generations that have since emerged as baseball stars, they deserve to be in the hall of fame, but ironically, they were used to save baseball, and then those hypocrites who used them and run baseball made them infamous.

Sammy doesn’t care about his fans or his team he only cares about himself, he should have been in the 100 years of Wrigley Field celebration and as well the World Series celebration back home in Chicago. God bless Sammy Sosa. Ricketts Family what is your faith? We are told to forgive 7 x 70, yes, that was a dark time in baseball, but it was allowed by MLB and owners. Enough is enough! Bring Sammy back to the Cubs Family! 🐻💙🧢

Looks like he's easing up on the skin bleach, not as light or pink looking. Looking a lot better.

Okay, this has nothing to do with the story, but has anyone else notice that Payton is on one speaker and Sosa in the other. Weird stereo.

Since I was young, very young and now I M 51 I have heard about "LA puya" in baseball atmósphere, meaning that it was and is well known for everybody in the baseball system because I wasn't baseball player just a fanatic who was watching trainings on the baseball fields st the universities where some franchise has rented campus and plays in neighborhoods, I'm pretty sure a lot of HOF big names had used, the hormones to make bulls strong

All the guy has to do is admit he used PED's and I believe most fans would look past his transgressions. He may be there in his heart but he can't say it yet. One day, I hope he makes the right decision.

I don't understand. Back for what? To be part of the team as an Ambassador or hitting coach? I could see that. The interviewer didn't make it clear what he was asking for.

It was called the steroid era for a reason. There were A LOT of players doing the same thing with worse results. MLB owners made a lot of money on the backs of these players and let them take the blame.

There are hardly any fans that would say they hate Sammy Sosa in Chicago! Some big wigs don't want him back and of course they get their way.

God Bless you Sammy loved you as a player love you more today for the Man you have become. A good man who wants to make amends. Peds is between him and God I have always felt you need talent to hit the ball a special talent not many have done or could have done what he did at the plate and in the field.
