@@CTOLARSSONactually I made this same analysis a while back. Note pre-halving gain decreasing by a factor of 1.5, thus should be 1.8×15.4 = ~28k. Expecting a crash! Pre/post ratio decreasing by a factor of 2.3, thus 1.3×1.8×28 = ~66k. Thus the ~70 - 79k top of the first model will also be fulfilled! Triple top kiss of death.
@-vj7bt i agree. 300 grand is impossible of course but a crazy high prediction. most long term logarithmic charts have the top at 80-90g like pi cycle and a few others
@@denaco the possible impetus for another 2020-style flash crash in March, is the recent uptick in inflation (even used cars up significantly with tax refund season, Carvana on a buying spree at +20% prices, as well Panama and Suez canals are under stress) thus emboldening the Fed with the BTFP expiration on March 11, the winding down of the Reverse Repo facility (which on the prior two times it was wound down in 2008 and 2020 it resulted in a severe market crash) and the prospect of a U.S. government shutdown in March.
This resembles the 2019 pump and dump pre-halving, except the peak is coming later nearer to the halving, which could have the effect of luring in, fooling and REKTING all the moonboys. A flash crash to below 28k, then the halving at 28k in late April is a (shocking?) possibility.
Came for the financial breakdown, stayed for the "Ongoing Pump."

I dont think that this bullrun will be as the others simply because we have the mindblowing demand of BTC ETFs this time. And they're suckin up all the BTC that is left on exchanges. And there'll be more ETFs coming from other countries. And Banks. And Governments. And nobody talks about the FOMO effect on the market price when exchanges run out of BTC to sell.
This bullrun WILL be different! Buy as much BTC as you can right now before Blackrock has it all !

Great content thanks! A third analysis with the evolution of the market cap would have been great, since there are always more coins despite halvings. Also the higher the cap, the harder it is to move it up. You would probably have then a 3rd middle scenario at 2-3 Trillions Cap

nice work. yes. that's my analysis as well. The one wild card that might change the analysis is of the previous cycle. The previous cycle might have been prematurely cut off by ftx dumping (factually disclosed in court of law)
If the take the double top and flip the dip in the middle it looks about right to me, would have got us to around 90k.
Thought FTX's collapse was 2022? You mean to say that they started selling in 2021?
@@Cormac1232 Yes. FTX collapsed in November of 2022, but throughout it's life it was doing very manipulative things. It was dumping btc at the top. You might ask why and it's pretty clear that sbf had instructed them to dump on btc to try and suppress the price. Why did Sam want to keep btc down? I believe he was not a supporter of decentralized systems. He wanted a centralized chain that he could manipulate to gain network effect and replace bitcoin. This instruction of dumping came out in the ftx trial as part of the testimony and as such I feel can be used as a fact when analyzing the chart. If you look at the btc chart in 2021 there was an odd flat line top that seemed to govern the top. There should have been a blow off top given the euphoria at the time. This is my hypothesis that sbf's instructions to have ftx dump btc at the top kept it from having the natural blow off top.
So it’s March and we already hit $70,000. Does this mean based on your analysis we can expect over $300K around Sep 18 2025 or little sooner since we are moving a bit faster this time…

This prediction caresses my ears. Moreover, both options are good, considering that I am long BTC and ETH with leverage on Fybit. I think that in the short term there should be another wave upward to 53-57k.

I've done your computations which slightly more formal methods (still not too predictive).
Model 1: exponential fit (i.e. linear fit of the log) of the Gain: 9.58x -> target price = $15.5k * 9.58 = $148k (I used P1 as well in the fit, without it the target price will be lower)
Model 2: exponential fit of Gain Post/Gain Pre: 1.30x -> target price = $15.5k * 3.5 * (1.30 * 3.5) = $247k
Always take it with a grain of salt.
naa 80k to 140 k between is the way to go all the 300k campers will get rekt holding it
zero chance we go to 300k. They're the same people that were calling for 200k last cycle.

As you yourself have demonstrated - just looking at the one market in a vacuum will never give you a reliable estimate or prediction. There are external contributing and limiting factors that could affect the nature of what unfolds next. Also - looking at past factors won't necessarily be your guide to what happens in the near future. To refine this it would be pertinent to perhaps isolate factors or relationships that are impacting or are symbiotic in relation to Bitcoin. General macroeconomic indicators, level of consumer debt, the impact of inflation of disposable income, the level of interest of institutional investors and the degree of manipulation they bring to the market, the maturity of scaling technology to accelerate practical usage of crypto currencies for payments, not just to be held as an asset. Your exercise is as usual very thought provoking and I'll be watching with interest how this plays out over the coming year. Thanks for all you do.
Hasn't Bitcoin already been tested by all of that even in it's short existence? 2020 seemed to be a good test of it's value in the overall crazy market. It's also becoming more mainstream and accepted.

Thanks! I will use this table at the halving to hone the model. However, the 1.5 in bottom box is overstated which means 2nd half gains & final BTC price high is overstated.

This is an innovative approach that fits previous price action and avoids the problem of bitcoin never having another ATH due to the gain reduction by 5 each cycle.
