    pro tip on the water bladder, after you drink the water, blow through the tube, so the water on the line goes inside the bladder and wont get hot

      Oh damn! Good tip! Thanks

      One thing to consider is that by doing that, you're potentially getting saliva/bacteria into the tube and bladder, rather than localizing it to the mouthpiece. If you thoroughly clean everything regularly you should be fine, but if you tend to be lazy you may get some funk sooner rather than later.

    The Klim Aggressor -1.0 is Excellent. I have long sleeve, short sleeve and the underwear, I went entirely in on them and they are fantastic, I concur on the Leatt 6.0 armor ...Perfect!

    I started into the whole adventure riding last year. I started off with a used set of klim Andes gear, a bell MX9 adventure, and leatt 5.5 MX boots. I love the boots, very comfortable, and great protection. As for the helmet, as you said, its a little heavy, but fits perfectly, and very nice protection. Thanks for your take on these products.

      Nice, I love my Leatt gear and I want to check out their boots as an option. Cheers.

    Great assessment of the gear you've been using. Humble suggestion for future similar videos: instead of "Good Buy or Goodbye", how about "Good Buy or Bye Bye". Just makes it clearer. Keep the vids coming!

    I went the same way you're about to go: ditching adventure boots for proper off-road boots. I got the Sidi X-Power enduro and Im very happy with my purchase. Was a little wary about getting non-waterproof boots, but after doing research and learning about the fact that wearing merino wool socks would keep you comfortable even when boots get wet I decided to try it. I have tested the theory and its true. On a 3 days adventure last summer, while my buddies with waterproof boots were complaining about their wet feet, because of all the water crossings, I was barely able to tell if my feet were wet. That's because waterproof boots will keep water in almost as much as they keep water out, something I have experienced myself. Once you get waterproof boots wet, you will be miserable, but getting non waterproof boots wet while wearing merino wool sock is perfectly manageable in my opinion. The merino wool socks keep their warmth even when wet. I got a pair of waterproof socks to wear in my boots if I ever have to ride through a cold downpour. Good luck in your search for your next boots.

      Cheers man thanks for the comment. Love merino wool. Just got a new set I’ll review in the summer from a new company called foreign rider. Sold the owner a bike and he gifted it to me. Looks really good quality.

    Quadlock is easy to attach a phone to, you push the lever the same as when you uninstall the phone.

    For off-road, the Moskos are the best bags. For touring and light adv, the lone riders are the best. Somehow I ended up with both.

    Great video, although when you are showing the price and name of the gear for the dakar jacket you put leatt instead of klim, you will have to make sure to double check that in the future.

    Do you find the Aggressor shirt gets smelly? Any lingering smell after washing?

    • @AlexUlleri
      @AlexUlleri  8 месяцев назад +1

      No not at all. You? You do realize you made me go sniff my shirt lol.

      @@AlexUlleri lol sorry for that. I’ve found synthetic shirts to get pretty stinky after multiple wears and eventually just can’t get them fresh. But that’s with cheapie polyester workout shirts that I’ve usually layered with; sounds like this Klim might be worth a shot!
      Other thing worth trying is Merino wool - I’ve had good luck with that as well as it wicks well and has natural odor repellency. Very popular base layer in hiking community.

      Yes for cold weather I have a thicker ice braker Marino set. There is a new company Foreign Rider that makes Marino that I’ll review this summer.
