I'm really enjoying the content you have been doing. I love to geek out of the best way to store my cards. I actually put way too much thought and time into it. That's actually how I found this channel a while ago!
I started collecting with bucaneiros sleeves (basically just some local, cheap sleeves) which were in fact PVC and acid free, but some sleeves were inconsistent in size and got too tight. I moved for gamegenic both in sleeves, binders and slide card cases (which are also UV resistent). Hands down the best brand when it comes to price-benefit
pvc will also get sticky. in one of ultra pro’s videos about their history, they showed off the old pvc pages and they were hard and sticking to each other
I experienced this once after buying an old card collection and it was awful. The cards appeared mint but they were actually stuck to the pvc pages and they would crack when you moved the cards
Acid free is not in reference to plastics but to paper. When you buy paper that is acid free like for stamp collectors who make their own catalog pages on which the stamps are mounted, it means the paper pulp used to make the paper has a neutral pH i.e not acidic. Plastics are different. There is no such thing as acid-free plastic. Pokemon could also put Cholesterol free on their sleeves it would be the exact same thing.
Can you make videos about toploader because i'm recently hearing that ultra pro toploaders are not acid free and i can't understand what should i do as i'm a newbie collector

I notice some sleeves go "foggy" after a while and dont look as clear, so i throw those away...
Free acid > acid free

Yea I kinda said that in the video. Acid free doesn’t mean anything, just a buzzword
real talk, if PVC sleeves break down then why are some of my pipes PVC and should I be worried?
I think that is an issue for really old houses. I’m in Canada where we mostly have ABS pipes so It’s not something I’ve really thought about

Ultra Pro top loaders are definitely acid free. You can always check their website or the packaging if you have it on hand
@@sleevenocardbehind but in reddit people are saying it is not acid free
