Will this removal work on a 2014 Jeep Compass, the shift knob is the same. After removing the bottom piece I have tried to pull the top part off but it isn't coming off as easy as in the video. I don't want to pull too hard. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Ivan Zeppelin yes it can the way to do it is get knob you like, wrap a small bit of electrical tape around tip of shifter where knob goes on, heat it with a lighter for 2 seconds and force knob on quick. It worked on my Chevy sonic for two years then re taped doesn't qwiggle around or anything
Helps to put in neutral, pop bottom, then pull straight up.
i read this comment and got it off in 2 seconds for my 07 Dodge Caliber

Popped the bottom but it still won’t come off for mine feels like it’s glued on
is this the same for manual? I'm having trouble getting the knob to twist off.
Manuals usually have the cap on top that pops off
Thanks
