It starts off really good. The first episode being quite a lot happening and the second episode being somewhat of character building episode and setting the stage of what is to come

I really like the last few minutes of episode 2, when Daemon told Corlys Velaryon “I will speak of my brother as I wish, you will not”. Little scenes like that, really shows Daemon is not the man everyone views him as, he is loyal to his family and cares about his brother.
I liked that too…it was almost like he was saying “I’m allowed to not like my brother for spiting me…YOU however need a REAL reason to not like him” kind of like he was also hinting that if you fight with me it needs to be for the right reason. Probably thinking long term.
He reminds of Jamie Lanister. He's rogue, he's difficult, but he's loyal and honest. He's more interested in protecting his family than sitting on the throne but he acts out as if he wants the throne.
He doesnt care about his brother, he cares about his blood.
I'm not sure if it's that he cares about his brother or if it's more along the lines of caring about his heritage. He is a Targaryen and no one that isn't should be allowed to speak negatively. But who knows were only 2 episodes in which is why I'm so excited to see it all unfold
@@kylesmith2065 nah, he cares about his family (at this point that is his brother and niece). If he did only his heritage? he would have made little princes and princesses with with his first wife, killed Rhaenyra and Viserys and take the crown for him and his heirs.

I agree with you, he is amazing and now matter how horrible he will become, he will stay a fan (and my personal) favourite. He was even better in the books and it was quite disappointing seeing the actor they chose since hes suppose to be a very attractive and dangerous character. Although i must say i im surprised that the actor is doing far better than i first thought he would
@@wvin1450 I guess it depends… there are some villains that you just love to hate and enjoy watching if portrayed well. Homelander from the boys for example. Guy is a psychopath but god damn do I love watch Antony Starr act his ass off.

I even have a suspicion that the maester killed the baby on Otto's order. It's almost clear that the two of them work together and Otto's own agenda did not involve a Targ heir.
I don't hate Daemon. Infact he is one of the character with spine. He is a rightful heir to the throne. He knows how to defend his house as he did when he said " I may speak ill of my brother you will not" in episode 2.
Rightful heir? By what rule do make this assumption? By current Royalty standards he would *not be* heir.
Take the British throne, they changed their laws so that the first born, Male or female is the rightful heir. Before this if only a female was a *direct decedent* she would be Queen... Mary, Elizabeth I, Ann, Victoria, Elizabeth II. None of their uncles were crowned over them. You were saying...
@@techpappee chill... I live in a democracy. I may have missed your rules of descendence... My point was he is/was/could have been a potential heir if that sounds right. He values relations which was evident when he gave back that egg when his niece told him that he should kill her and end this matter once and for all... as compared to his brother who readily allowed the maestor to rip of his wife's belly and let her die. he knows how to keep things within the family and not let outside force weaken them.

All I know is when Rhaenyra came with her dragon and said what she needed to say to her uncle that was bad ass. Love it!!
And I loved the subtle touch of Deamon almost feeling the dragon coming before anyone else. Hearing that soft almost screech they have before Syrax howled and all the others finally realize a dragon's coming. Incredible.

I loved it too, i was thrilled to see her evolve to that battle ready queen she is set to be like khaleesi from Game of thrones but then I read that they're going to replace her with another older actor in the next season which sucks I think that's a real bad move

Daemon Targaryen is so far, my favourite character.
Stannis was the rightful heir, he only went for the iron throne once Robert had died and it was revealed his children were actually Jaime lannisters
Also Daemon prevented a fight when his niece came. He knew how it's important to not feed the outsiders with anything from the family feud. Probably he is well aware of Otto's intentions.
I think it's because even though he's ambitious he still cares about his niece more than the throne.

@@saljpal3 He's not ambitious, only misunderstood. There only two people Daemon cares about in the world, and they are his brother and niece. He just wants to be sitting next to his family and not being spurned. Otto Hightower, on the other hand, seems to understand that when the brothers are divided, the king is more easily controlled.
On the contrary, Daemon is my favorite character so I do not want to see his head on a spike to be quite honest. His dragon is also my favorite too, the way Caraxes shrieks sent chills down my spine!

Daemon is probably the most badass character so far.
I think the serie starts off really well. The first episode with a lot that goes on. The second episode being somewhat more of a character building episode setting the stage of what is to come

I think it's important to note that in the books it's inferred that Kings who cut themselves on the iron throne were thought not fit to rule. Aerys and Joffrey both would cut themselves on it and Maegor was found dead on it.

Robert Baratheon
Every king EVERY king that we are shown cuts him selves on the throne in the book. Right down to Jamie and Robert. Like littlefinger(and others) specifies in the book, the chair is jagged and dirty and nobody is allowed to alter or clean it.
I get some tywin Lannister vibes from Otto hightower, his mannerisms and voice remind me of tywin Lannister
I'm just happy to see Matt Smith get work in something that's not Doctor Who and definitely not Morbius.
He played a terrific role as Prince Philip in the Crown during first seasons.
one of the worst cast in this tv series. OMG.
Yet he continues his main role as a prince who will never be king (cf. The Crown)!
Daemon most hateable? You must mean by the characters in the show because he seems like a very likeable chaotic grey character to me.

@@mitvishwakarma the Book is really interesting even though it's written like a history book about Targaryen Kings. The show is really good so far and stays true to the book (even with some smalltalk changes)
Rhys Ifans was a superb choice to play Otto. He is playing the part so well that I instantly detested him.
I honestly have such a nasty bad feeling every time Otto speaks. I dislike, and distrust him the most on this show. Big red flag from the start.

I know I was not only one who got chills when we heard intro music again. To see this was highest rated pilot, and season 2 was signed before episode 2 aired is awesome. There is still some developing, and it is moving fast. I am anxiously waiting for Sunday.

I thought this episode was very very very well put together . Perfect idea to pass 6 months time . It was an overly exciting episode but it was the perfect drama with a lot going on . A great amount of Easter eggs . I’m sad that we have to wait another week for another episode, at least I have something to look forward too though. Can’t wait to see vaeghar eventually !

daemon only looks like a straight up villain to people who aren't catching the good writing....he isn't a monster. he clearly loves his family. He's just extreme.
Otto is a mixture of Tyrion+Varys+Littlefinger.....Sheer Genius....

I'm confused why Daemon is being treated like the new Joffrey by so many people. He hasn't done anything overtly cruel outside of pulling a couple unsportsmanlike moves at the tournament.
@Moxy StClair While Daemon doesnt start the Dance of the Dragons (alone) he puts the dance into an unrecoverable nose-dive. He is going to do something that will make you HATE him. Daemon will be worse that Joffrey (by far) ... not in volume of evil, but by one horrible child murding act.

I haven't watched Game of Thrones or this show but I know enough about it because EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT THIS SHOW SO MUCH!!!! I find it impressive that the show follows multiple factions of people from around the show's world who don't even meet each other until halfway through its' run. I've never heard of any TV show that's done it before.
Watch and you realise the potential it holds

The thumbnail is misleading. The eggs that daenerys received as a wedding gift which one of those eggs drogon hatched does not belong to the timeline of daemon and rhynera. The 3 eggs that became stone for many centuries that daenerys possesed came from asshai smuggled to one of the cities in essos.
Nope, those eggs were stolen from Dragonstone a bit later. It is a nice theatrical touch to show that this was one of Stormborn's eggs. In 54 AC, Lady Elissa Farman fled Dragonstone, taking with her three dragon eggs. She traveled to Pentos, and from there to Braavos, where she took on the name "Alys Westhill". Using that name, she was granted an audience with the Sealord of Braavos, who bought the three dragon eggs from her.

Daemon the most hated? he is at least straight forward, i actually like him. its Otto who i thinks should be the most hated. Pushing his daughter to the king as a power grab eventually undermining the kings wishes to have is daughter as queen and setting this whole thing off. Daemons a bit of a jerk but at least he would have accepted things unlike Ottos scemeing power plays

ad 6) bloodmagic was also mentioned by Brienne of Tarth. She stated that Stanis used blood magic to assasinate Renly Baratheon. Was she right though? Was Lady Melisandre's ability to "cast a shadow" coming slolely from Lord of the Light or did she happen to be a blood mage as well?
The books makes you question/theory WAY more interesting! Stanis had nightmares/dreams about killing Renly Baratheon (and a couple of others) and then the shadow went forward. He had to be near them and asleep ... very cool. Melisandre still had to birth the shadow, but Stanis controlled the shadow in his sleep. Come on now, you have to admit, that is amazing writing for magical lore/operation isnt it?

@@ksionc100 I think Melesandre's magic is a mix of different magic types. She uses powders to make fires change colors and flare up, so some of it is even based on parlor style tricks. The Lord of Light mostly uses sorcery, but the sacrificial aspects are from blood magic. Worship of the Lord of Light is basically demon worship ... oddly enough his worshippers are the only ones that get false vision/prophecies. Your common woods witch has more talent for prediction.

Idk who agrees with this but everyone I've talked to, especially long time fans of books actually love Daemon or find him super fun to watch for his smart remarks. Otto is the most hate-able character so far
man, this show is full of relatable characters. daemon just wants the power which is rightfully his and wants to marry the woman he loves, viserys is just looking for stability and a rightful heir for the throne, corlys just wants crabfeeder to face justice and also preserve his power (which he earned) and everyone will have to die for them now.
It's really funny how either Watch Mojo is trolling us, or truly have no fans of the books on staff with these "Easter Eggs."
