That beautiful Renaissance porch is STILL *STUNNING* 🏆 There are days when your history bits are JUST what my soul needs! I absolutely am forever mesmerized by old castles and medieval fortifications😍💖 I think for me, part of it is the continuity of many of these structures throughout the ages. History that is so wonderful - to my sensibilities at least! May I ask a rather "out there" question of you both with most due respect - in your visits and explorations, have you all ever come across anything that stands out as "otherworldly" or spooky, or ghostly or felt you weren't quite alone?
It really is so surprising that it is still in such good condition. It's lovely to hear that you enjoy our films so much. It gives us a massive boost when we receive comments like this. As far as otherwordly or spooky goes we have never experienced anything like that. Perhaps it's our outlook on life but these old buildings are just old to us and in no way daunting. Living in Wales we are surrounded by very old buildings and we live in a very old house that dates back in parts to the 14th, 15th and 17th centuries, so to us they are very normal. I've often thought it would be fun to create a coat of arms with important items in it in those little sections. I'd have a black cat and a spindle, except then I might be taken for a wicked fairy at the christening.. I wonder if you'll ever find a nice rental in a castle, involving caretaking and checking the views.
That sounds fun, you’d need a motto too 😁 Ours would probably be books and a cuppa hot something, with the motto ‘drink tea, read books, stay inside your castle’
