Great Video Jen!....I have been doing lots of research on New Zealand for 2 years now...All people have to do is research and they will be able to find most of the answers to their questions...it's not hard... and if they need to they can always call the immigration specialist and ask them.

We (my wife and I and the youngest of our 4 kids) are 2 months away from our NZ move, filled with trepidation and excitement, and your videos are a balm and an encouragement! I can't believe I didn't stumble across them till now. I'm a GP, leaving a practice I own and love and a place I love (the Pacific NW USA), but for reasons large and small, in two months, we will arrive in NZ (Gisborne) for my new job and our new life. So much of what you've shared and said I've seen played out in our own lives over the past 2 (plus) years, and it's so wonderful and comforting (and exciting, and....) to hear your experiences. Thanks for sharing. (I'd love to hear your experiences with your intersections with medical care, and to know any tips you'd have to offer a doctor arriving in NZ after practicing for 20+ years in the over-abundance (and over-cost) US medical system. (And I plan to look at your VLOGS on your endocrine issues as well)). Thanks again!!
Great Vid again and DEF lots of good info and things to think about. If and when do this will be coming down to rural property so still collecting info. Can DEF understand about not coming to Canada, the weather is one of the main reasons I am looking at leaving. 6 months of winter and a VERY short growing season is just horrible. For some reason RUclips didn't suggested me newer videos from you and I thought you were on a break or something. I felt like a good short term option (that's if you really need it and can afford) are the Quest apartments. They're around Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. You usually have to enquiry for a 90+ days booking so they can give you the best rates, but don't expect anything like 1500 a month or something. On the other hand it's totally serviced, furnished, basically a hotel and I thought it's very handy.

Glad you have up your South African citizenship and retained the British cause SA citizenship is worth nothing. Very smart move on your part Jen. I haven't been back since I moved here in 1997. I do want to go back to see friends but I didn't see any reason to keep my South African citizenship.
