It’s because The angle of the slope was 1° over the maximum allowed slope that OSHA allows for Employees to walk on without a safety harness. The Secret Service safety harnesses actually were under recall from the manufacturer so they were not safe to use. They heard about this recall only an hour before Trump was set to speak. They didn’t have time to purchase an OSHA approved harness, So they were unable to secure that roof. Those roofs can get wet and slippery too, so they definitely made the right call, not to put their officers or agents at risk.
SS claims it wasn't their responsibility and gave it to the local Police. The local Police claims they told the SS they didn't have the manpower to provide that security and that they were not in the building. That only leaves the County Sheriffs, or the State Police that were inside that two story building with counter snipers. So which one didn't see that kid on the roof only 4-5 feet below their position and about 45-50 feet to their left?

I’m in commercial real estate and have been in many buildings where people are walking on the roof above you. You can hear, and it’s loud.
Many commercial buildings have a 4-8' gap between the drop ceiling and the actual roof. In that gap will be HVAC and electrical. You are acting like this roof is just a pole building, and maybe it is, but you have no idea. Stop spreading fake news.

Whether the local pd was supposed to do it or not, the Secret Service should have noticed there was no one there. They direct everything not the local pd. That bug me for awhile because they said that the Pennsylvania PATSY bought a 5ft Ladder at Home Depot...Apparently he never had to use it and boosted up on to the roof using an AC unit...there are several places of note where he can do this...Apparently the 10'-12' ladder in the picture was used by law enforcement to access the roof AFTER the incident...However this was still and OSHA Violation...Maybe we can get them to investigate this incident?

Secret Service were alerted at 5:52 p.m. and Trump took the stage at 6:00 p.m. Whoever in the state police placed the call at 5:52 p.m. and whoever in the secret service took the call and whoever’s decision it was to let Trump on stage at 6:00 p.m. have tough questions to answer. This is the biggest breakdown in communications since the JFK assassination.
I don't buy for one minute they were on the second floor of that building because that would mean that crooks was laying on top of the building practically in front of them. Were they there they could have spit on him!

The trajectory of the bullet that killed Corey was upwards from the second floor of the building, not the roof . Audio analysis even to a layperson reveals two guns were used.
The footage is so grainy and blurry that there is no way to confirm that what is being seen is a person. Also, the “movement” in the tower in the video is likely from heat distortion, not from actual movement on the tower. I agree with the commenter above that what we’re actually seeing is the shadow cast by the object on the top of the tower, not a person.

holy crap first time I've seen any news get the location on the roof correct, everyone else is claiming he was at the other end but in video footage you can see the blood on that end. i thought he climbed the ladder that you can see behind some bushes on that same aerial footage with the blood stain but perhaps that ladder was put up by police.
Not to mention, that picture they took of him from behind, he doesn't appear to be carrying anything. So, at what point, and where was his rifle the whole time they were watching him. Seems like the cops looking out the 2nd story window had a clear view of the roof. They even took a picture of the guy. So why was Trump not held back from going on the stage? There was like 20 minutes. Seems like the police in the building looking out the window should have been staying put to be able to radio over what the guy was doing. The counter-sniper(s) (reportedly) in the 2nd-story window (the 2nd-story window behind and above Crooks on the roof was wide open when the (Crooks) shots were fired). They could look directly down at Crooks on the roof not 25 feet away after they had been alerted minutes before he go his shots off. The first 3 shots at Trump have a distinctly different sound (muffled) than the next 4 shots (very clear). Those first 3 shots could have come from that open window (which would sound muffled), with Crooks firing the next 5 shots from the roof (in the open, so much more crisp sounding). The last shot was Crooks being killed. This smells like a cover-up.
Of course he scoped out days before….that would be the only way he knew where he wanted to be and where to hide. I don’t blame the local police for what the secret service and security (Trump was given) was supposed to do. It's all so fishy to me. nothing ever happened, but the SS used to use our family's factory anytime a person of importance was visiting our city, ( mostly Presidents and candidates) as they had to drive past on the highway to get to downtown. My father was very cooperative and they always put snipers on the roof, just for the motorcade passing by at a fast speed, not a static figure on a stage. Burden of proof is on the ones making the extraordinary claims.
We have pictures, video, audio, injuries, deaths, a gun, damage to property, and an easily recognizable way the shooting happened.
Most alternatives to reality are based on rumors or grainy images.

That bug me for awhile because they said that the Pennsylvania PATSY bought a 5ft Ladder at Home Depot...Apparently he never had to use it and boosted up on to the roof using an AC unit...there are several places of note where he can do this...Apparently the 10'-12' ladder in the picture was used by law enforcement to access the roof AFTER the incident...However this was still and OSHA Violation...Maybe we can get them to investigate this incident?

What’s really odd about this ladder detail is that the earliest interviews w/the local police representatives told reporters that the guy used a ladder to get on roof. But later in the day, they said he scaled the building. Finally, they said he used the ac unit. Yet, the guy removed everything from his pockets except a ladder receipt?

The footage is so grainy and blurry that there is no way to confirm that what is being seen is a person. Also, the “movement” in the tower in the video is likely from heat distortion, not from actual movement on the tower. holy crap first time I've seen any news get the location on the roof correct, everyone else is claiming he was at the other end but in video footage you can see the blood on that end. i thought he climbed the ladder that you can see behind some bushes on that same aerial footage with the blood stain but perhaps that ladder was put up by police.
ONE officer, sitting on that roof, prevents all of this. I just can't comprehend what's going on here.
Not to mention, that picture they took of him from behind, he doesn't appear to be carrying anything. So, at what point, and where was his rifle the whole time they were watching him. If it was in a backpack then he would had to have broken it down in order to conceal it. Which means at some point he had to re-assemble the rifle before getting in to position to shoot. However, the police saw non of this! This guy isn't Jason Bourne... smfh. At best this is a level of incompetence never witnessed before in all of human history or there are co-conspirators involved.

Crooks would have had to been on the rightmost side of the roof. But that open window lines up perfectly with the trajectory of the shot that hit Trump and the two guys that survived. The counter-sniper(s) (reportedly) in the 2nd-story window (the 2nd-story window behind and above Crooks on the roof was wide open when the (Crooks) shots were fired). They could look directly down at Crooks on the roof not 25 feet away after they had been alerted minutes before he go his shots off. The first 3 shots at Trump have a distinctly different sound (muffled) than the next 4 shots (very clear). Those first 3 shots could have come from that open window (which would sound muffled), with Crooks firing the next 5 shots from the roof (in the open, so much more crisp sounding). The last shot was Crooks being killed. This smells like a cover-up.
