this reminded me of the times when I was underweight, I wasn't diagnosed with anorexia or any other eating disorders, but just one day I would start throwing up whenever I smell or eat food, I lost so much weight and people called me ugly and told me I need to gain weight, I struggled on my own and gradually forced myself to eat, then I gained weight and people called me ugly and fat and told me I should lose weight, and I am not even overweight or obese, I am just average for my height but I am now watching this and having to deal with people around me I am scared of going back to that point
Guys, can you just stop comparing her to Wonyoung? That is one of the reasons why a ton of anorexic people don't ask for help because they think "they are not skinny enough to be sick." Anorexia is a physical and MENTAL illness; just because somebody is very skinny doesn't necessarily mean they are anorexic, and just because somebody else looks "healthy" doesn't mean they have a healthy mindset. Period. (And no, I'm not going to say that Wonyoung's case is okay. But comparing is very dangerous and unnecessary.)
everytime I hear JinE’s story I can’t help but cry. i’m so glad their company put her in hospital, and although i really miss her being in OMG, i’m also happy she decided to focus on her recovery. i hope she knows how loved she is
Honestly, this is probably one of the reasons why it seems like omg members are very protective of Arin. Like Jine, she's quite timid herself and most people only notice her visuals.
Awww I feel so bad for her. I’m actually tearing up... its just so sad how comments could basically ruin her dreams, mental, and health. I hope she has recovered fully, healthy, and happy. We won’t forget you, Jine 💕
Is there a way she can update us on how she is now? I know it’s better for her to be out of the spotlight, but I’m just worried and if there is a source where she as updates fans recently on her condition, I’d love to see it! ❤️❤️❤️
I think that she was seen by a fan, she was with a guy (possibly her boyfrend) and she was looking a lot healthier than before. I don't remember where I saw that but yeah.
i believe that the main reason as to why netizens share their opinions is because they somehow feel entitled that their opinion is to be heard. i’ll never understand the obsession with weight and the constant belittling of these idols when they themselves do not even fit any of the beauty standards.
how messed up do people need to be to call a person "fat" and "chubby" when she was gaining weight for her health. seriously. after the first time she was in hospital, she needed to take care of her body by gaining weight, but i guess those ""fans"" weren't satisfied, huh? and after she sacrificed her health yet again to become thinner she's "ugly". will they ever be happy with the way she looks? she starved herself so the ""fans"" would be happy with how she looks. still, they're not okay with her. callout to the people who probably comment stuff like that-look at yourselves. do you have a perfect body like all of those idols do? seriously, get your life together,it doesn't matter a thing how a random idol looks. it makes me sad just thinking about it smh :/
I really wish she was still with them. I don't even really listen to Oh My Girl but this broke my heart. How 'fans' were being rude, but at least she had good times and good fans. Hopefully she's doing better.
This is heartbreaking. How could people take this girl's dream from her like that? Knowing she has body image issues, knowing she has weight issues, and tormenting her about it no matter what she does. It's disgusting behavior.
I'm a new Miracle and watching this made me so sad I hope wherever JinE is now that she's doing okay it's been 3 years since she left Oh My Girl and it's crazy how I wouldn't have known she existed if it weren't for this video. This just goes to show you how negative comments can really effect a person.
Seeing the post she made on Instagram yesterday (or maybe the day before, I can't remember) makes me so happy because she looks so good compared to what she looked like before she left. She's made some really progress.
I never really was into OMG that much, and I had no idea that JinE was suffering from an eating disorder. I really hope that she’s happy and healthy right now ❤️
I remember watching her cry on ohmygirl cast finale(1st reality show of ohmygirl)because she was touched by jiho said to her some encourage words and wishing to take care her good health☹
I absolutely love her company. They actually care about their idols and trainees, whereas other companies either ignore cos they don’t care, don’t even notice or they use it for attention and publicity.
Eating disorders always have psychological story in behind of it. (Eating more when you're stressed or opposite.) It can be everything which caused to have it. So please don't judge people like that. They have good and kind heart. They're just too nice for this world. And too harsh for themselves. Plus: Good to know that there are companies who respects and care for their artist's:)
Some people are seriously ignorant. I’m in recovery for bulimia and after a LONG time of being unwell, recovery weight goes on FAST and you can look bloated and chunky at first. (I mean Jine didn’t even look chunky or bloated but anyway) Your body has been in starvation mode for so long, that it panics and gains weight so quickly, it can be very difficult to see oneself in a positive light. The fact that Jine started to gain weight and was happy and the fans tore her progress down makes me feel so deeply sad inside. I sincerely found this video so hard to watch but I am glad she got the help she needed. OH MY GIRL isn’t the same with her though.

I had become a fan of JinE when just a few months later i found out she was ill and had to leave. I'm still so happy with how her company handled it, and glad to see that she's doing better now and seems happy on insta~ if anyone is interested in supporting her, her public insta is @c_nye.zini So happy the company didnt force her to keep going, wish her the best, and thank you for this video 💕
how did their bodies become a topic of discussion AFTER ppl already officially knew at least someone was struggling with their body image? like... do they want to worsen it so badly? also writing articles about the weight gain of someone who's anorexic. that's bound to trigger them tf. good to see a company actually doing smtp about their idol's eds for once though
I miss her even more after watching this video... "JinE~yah be happy and success outside there! No one can ever criticize you now. I'll remember you as cute, beautiful and cheerful OMG JinE forever. Saranghae and bogosipo JinE~yah" 💜
Her last wish to fans is an easy one to make come true. That is how we will continue to think of her. She didn't need to apologize to anyone for anything. She will be missed and remembered fondly, and Oh My Girl couldn't have gotten where they are without her contribution. Also interesting to me was the fact that I really wouldn't have noticed the fluctuations in the videos. But when I worry about something I tend to notice any minute change, sometimes checking multiple times a day. Only when I am removed from the situation and can look at it from outside do I notice what I was doing.
Tbh I clicked because I never even heard of her, didn't know she was part of Oh My Girl. It's sad being in the spotlight took such a toll on her. I hope she's doing better now.
when having an eating disorder, comments about your weight or how your body looks isn't helping at all it's making it worse. the fan were really mean toward her, especially since they knew she has anorexia
I’m so glad their company took action but like most kpop companies where they just let them do whatever until they are drop dead on the floor. Edit: im rewatching again after 3 months and honestly at 1:37 their company impresses me again, they can eat whatever as long as they maintain their weight, thats a regular diet a fitness trainer may give you...impressive company like honestly
Honestly true fans would not criticize idols weight point blank period. We need to love the idols as people and performers, not control them and tear them down. People just suck.
JinE was my bias in OMG. I wish she hadn't gone through so much.. but I hope she's doing well and would love it if she found a way to come back to popularity.
If I would’ve knew about Jine doing stuff like that before 2020 came in. I would’ve BEEN giving her respect and try to get her out of it cause not eating can kill you. I’m really sorry she had to deal with discomfort with her body figure and deserves more support from her fans. I hope she’s still doing well today.
I just wonder if the people who write those hateful articles and comments know that they’re literally close to killing someone. I’m sobbing rn after watching this video 😭
Call me rude but I want to punch those netizens. “Oh, she gained weight and now she’s happy? Too fat! Disgusting! Oh, she lost weight again? Bony, ugly. Disgusting!” Like at least stay consistent with what you want. They’re so insensitive. I had an eating disorder as well and lately I’ve fallen back into old habits. It breaks my heart nobody was taking this situation seriously and just hoped she would get healthy again. People with eating disorders NEED help, they need the help to ignore that malicious and controlling voice inside your head. This story is so heartbreaking.
I understand her struggles even though I am not an idol but I struggled with anorexia from 2016-2020 I just started recovery in November 2020 and it’s hard but I’m trying to stay strong :) honestly, I think kpop fed my anorexia so I stopped listening for a while because I’d watch lives for hours while exercising because I wanted to look like the idols even though I was delusional and everyone told me I was as skinny or skinnier than these idols but I couldn’t see it... now I look at old pictures and I see how small I was and it scares me. Another reason I kept going Is because I was never diagnosed and never got ill from it or lost my period, hair, teeth and more. Thankfully. I was even told by my old therapist that I wasn’t skinny enough to be anorexic which killed me and made me want to keep going. Even without any of these things, I was constantly being light headed and even passed out, constantly being super depressed and lethargic and had a plethora of deficiencies, it even caused me permanent bowel damage and sensitivity. Please don’t develop an ed if you can help it
I'm sorry you have to go though that. I hope you can recover from your ED and become a happy and healthy person, please don't compare yourself or put yourself down, even though I am an internet stranger I'm rooting for you and I'm glad to hear that you're recently recovering from it.

A lot of companies that I know in the kpop industry would not allow her or anyone to take that long of a hiatus to improve their health or agree to terminate her contract for her well being. this reminded me of the times when I was underweight, I wasn't diagnosed with anorexia or any other eating disorders, but just one day I would start throwing up whenever I smell or eat food, I lost so much weight and people called me ugly and told me I need to gain weight, I struggled on my own and gradually forced myself to eat, then I gained weight and people called me ugly and fat and told me I should lose weight, and I am not even overweight or obese, I am just average for my height but I am now watching this and having to deal with people around me I am scared of going back to that point
I'm so sorry that it happened to you. I hope that you'll feel better, no matter what, you are beautiful in your own way. :)
Sending love and hugs to you!!
Telling she has "thick thighs" is not helping...
still. people have told me i have thick thighs many times and it’s extremely triggering for me
why? having thick thighs isn't a bad thing, you say it like it's a bad thing. :/
@@mimeimi3705 for someone with anorexia it is
@@mimeimi3705 when the people had anorexia is a bad thing
Right
Awww I feel so bad for her.
@luisa omg thanks so much😍❤
@@markly5460 Yeah it was during a sexy girl group cover. I barely recognized her. If it was her, so glad to know she's healthy.
@luisa is that really her
@luisa yeah I looked on her story and she mentioned oh my girl but it was FULLY Korean so I didn't understand
i believe that the main reason as to why netizens share their opinions is because they somehow feel entitled that their opinion is to be heard. i’ll never understand the obsession with weight and the constant belittling of these idols when they themselves do not even fit any of the beauty standards.
As long as youre healthy and you know it and especially dont change your diet everything will go right
how messed up do people need to be to call a person "fat" and "chubby" when she was gaining weight for her health. seriously. after the first time she was in hospital, she needed to take care of her body by gaining weight, but i guess those ""fans"" weren't satisfied, huh? and after she sacrificed her health yet again to become thinner she's "ugly". will they ever be happy with the way she looks? she starved herself so the ""fans"" would be happy with how she looks. still, they're not okay with her. callout to the people who probably comment stuff like that-look at yourselves. do you have a perfect body like all of those idols do? seriously, get your life together,it doesn't matter a thing how a random idol looks. it makes me sad just thinking about it smh :/
poor girl was literally bullied out of the industry- netizens never learn.
It's disgusting behavior.
i hope you become the most happiest girl in the world Jine we Miracle always support you! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Poor Hyejin, this is because of some netizens who said that she's fat and misshaped when she's clearly not (at least she's slimmer than I am)
I'm a new Miracle and watching this made me so sad I hope wherever JinE is now that she's doing okay it's been 3 years since she left Oh My Girl and it's crazy how I wouldn't have known she existed if it weren't for this video. This just goes to show you how negative comments can really effect a person.
little reminder for anyone watching this now. recovery does NOT mean weight gain. recovery is about fixing your mindset and relationship with food.
Seeing the post she made on Instagram yesterday (or maybe the day before, I can't remember) makes me so happy because she looks so good compared to what she looked like before she left. She's made some really progress.
What's her ig?
@@blubleeus3848 c_nye.zini I believe
I never really was into OMG that much, and I had no idea that JinE was suffering from an eating disorder. I really hope that she’s happy and healthy right now ❤️
people are playing with her feelings they're so cruel.
I remember watching her cry on ohmygirl cast finale(1st reality show of ohmygirl)because she was touched by jiho said to her some encourage words and wishing to take care her good health☹
I hope she is much better and happier than she was. I hope she is supporting OH MY GIRL and is in touch with her friends. I hope she is HAPPY!
I absolutely love her company. They actually care about their idols and trainees, whereas other companies either ignore cos they don’t care, don’t even notice or they use it for attention and publicity.
All companies should treat their members like this
Eating disorders always have psychological story in behind of it.
I hope you recover too!!
jine is the first member that makes me love omg, she's so pretty, cute, full of expression, and looks like a doll. im glad that now shes healthy and happy
i almost cried watching this. she was so full of energy and charisma on stage, i hope she’s doing well now, i wish nothing but the best for her
I found the way this company accepted her to leave the group and how she took care of her health so amazing most companies are very bad with idols
"She just wanted to be beautiful"" god my heart exploded
Words, are so powerful, and they can make a positive or negative impact on a person. 😭 Be careful what you say please.
i’m exactly like her. tiny waist but thicker thighs, body dysmorphia (however u spell it), etc
g ᥲ b ᥡ me too :(( my legs are so huge and my waist is the only thing that’s tiny, which makes me feel so fat because even heavier people have skinnier legs than me
oh yeah me too... also i’ve got an ED which is fun
Same... I hope you're doing better tho, we gotta be there for each other 😊
Stella Williams oh yeah , I’m doing way better now and I’m more confident about my body now :)
" Fans " want she loss weight then she loss the weight that " fans " want & after she lost it , " fans " said she look scary & want look healtier okay she do what " fans " want . & she gained weight but still " fans " dont like it . At the end . She become a burden of the group & left her group . SHE THE LONGEST TRAINEE & DEBUT WITH OH MY GIRL . SHE IS ADORABLE . SHE IS PRETTY . SHE IS AMAZING PERSON . SHE IS EVERYTHING but because of the " fans " SHE BECOME A QUITE PERSON , she dont want show herself to other . THIS WORLD IS SOOOO CRUEL . JINE UNNIE . LETS BE YOURSELF . WHO WILL LOVE YOU? " US " & " YOURSELF " we will support you wherever you go & whoever you are 💓💟🌈💯
THANK YOU TO THE COMPANY FOR CARING ABOUT HER HEALTH!! I hope she's healthier and happier again! :3
K-Pop industry and fanbases are very cruel, that is why every member of a K Pop group should be mentally strong, poor Jine she IS beautiful.
I'm so glad she got help early, so many idols' eating disorders go unnoticed/gets swept under the rug. I hope she knows that she's a role model to all the girls out there, prioritising her health over anything else.
jine, my angel. 💗 she is and was so strong
I had become a fan of JinE when just a few months later i found out she was ill and had to leave. I'm still so happy with how her company handled it, and glad to see that she's doing better now and seems happy on insta~ if anyone is interested in supporting her, her public insta is @c_nye.zini
So happy the company didnt force her to keep going, wish her the best, and thank you for this video 💕
I'd like to see those netizens and what they look like before commenting on the appearance of young girls.Wouldn't be so fun?
this is so heartbreaking i hope shes doing well
how did their bodies become a topic of discussion AFTER ppl already officially knew at least someone was struggling with their body image? like... do they want to worsen it so badly? also writing articles about the weight gain of someone who's anorexic. that's bound to trigger them tf.
good to see a company actually doing smtp about their idol's eds for once though
I miss her even more after watching this video...
"JinE~yah be happy and success outside there! No one can ever criticize you now. I'll remember you as cute, beautiful and cheerful OMG JinE forever. Saranghae and bogosipo JinE~yah" 💜
My shining star, her voice is so pretty so pretty girl, our talented jine we love you 😼😻💚💙😗😍😚💘😗❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥❤️ stay healthy and strong and be brave 😻😺💟💚♥️😙
i applaud the company, they really tried to help her. most would’ve ignored it, but they were focused on her health.
she was under 85pounds? thats barely 40kg omg
props to her company for giving her what she need right away too
This is so sad... I hope she is healthy and happy now.. And still can do what she likes
I still miss her so much but I know it was for the better. Still watching old OMG videos hurts
She had a good management company. At least the company cared about the health of the girls instead of just the profit.
Poor thing. ~cries for her~
I never knew this happened but I'm glad she made a choice for herself. I hope she's healthy and happy now
I cried during the video. This is so heartbreaking, man. People are so sick minded. >:^(
Tbh I clicked because I never even heard of her, didn't know she was part of Oh My Girl. It's sad being in the spotlight took such a toll on her. I hope she's doing better now.
when having an eating disorder, comments about your weight or how your body looks isn't helping at all it's making it worse. the fan were really mean toward her, especially since they knew she has anorexia
I cried at the end. She doesn't deserve this kind of harsh society.
Wherever you are, I hope you are doing great and still in contact with OMG members.
I’m so glad their company took action but like most kpop companies where they just let them do whatever until they are drop dead on the floor.
Edit: im rewatching again after 3 months and honestly at 1:37 their company impresses me again, they can eat whatever as long as they maintain their weight, thats a regular diet a fitness trainer may give you...impressive company like honestly
always be gracious enough to know YOU have immense value to know that YOU are so beautiful and YOU are here for a purpose
Never got deep into the group but this made me gain so much respect for Jine (and the members) her story is so sad :"(
oh my girl lost an angel T^T
fly high angel
Nobody can please everyone. These people who hate on idols just because of their appearances should stop.
I just wonder if the people who write those hateful articles and comments know that they’re literally close to killing someone. I’m sobbing rn after watching this video 😭
That's so sad... It shows how your personal issue can affect your dream. Rest well
Call me rude but I want to punch those netizens.
I hope she lives a full and happy life. That poor girl was put through a lot while under the public’s eye.
@@juicebox9046 thank you i needed that because i feel like im falling back into old ways :(
@@Harajukubarbie333 please dony go back and relapse, keep pushing forward for what's in worth in the end :D
the sad thing about seeing idols struggling is you never know how bad it is and you can never directly help them :(
I'm actually so sad, poor Jine, I hope she's happy now ❤️❤️❤️
Her company handled that surprisingly well. A lot of companies that I know in the kpop industry would not allow her or anyone to take that long of a hiatus to improve their health or agree to terminate her contract for her well being. I don't know much about her company, but I think they handled this pretty well. Wherever you are Jine, I hope you are happy and healthy.
