I tried it yesterday and it was amazing, everyone loved it!!! I trusted you and made double the recipe, used caramel m&M's and put in some dark and white chocolate I had left! It was amazing, even tho one batch was a bit overbaked (because of me) they were still thick, chevey and crunchy!! I will definitely save this receipt for the future!
Can I just say, THANK YOU for helping me look like I know what I am doing in the kitchen. I am a new stay at home "almost" mom and I have never had the time to sit down and figure out how to cook much and was terrible at baking anything. Thank you for making me look like a semi pro these last few weeks. Finding you on youtube has been a life saver! I can go on and on about all your recipes that I have tried but I have yet to find one that I dont like. haha you are amazing
I love m&m cookies. I do them for my coworkers for each holiday season of the year. Easter, thanksgiving/halloween, christmas. I usually give a good dash or two of cinnamon because it brings out that chocolate flavor. (It makes me think of hot chocolate in Mexico City.) As for other cookie ideas, please, please a nice shortbread tea cake / Shrewsbury tea cake
I actually would love to see you make one of these dutch kinds of cookies. - gevulde koek. (This is basically a cookie filled with an almond-lemon paste) - stroopwafel (this is 2 waffel like cookies with a sugar syrup. Idk what the english translation exactly would be) - boterkoek (this is famous for being very buttery, hence why butter is literally in its name. Usually if you bake it, it would be in a pie like form though, or a large rectangle you cut into smaller ones) And since its kinda in the season: pepernoten, gevulde speculaas, speculaas brok. All 3 of these are associated with the dutch holiday "Sinterklaas", based around the holy man, st nicolas. They all follow the theme of using speculaas spices. (Which is a mixture of Cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, bay leave, cardemom and white pepper) That was a lot more writing than i intended to do😅
@@Cupcait_ ooh yeah i forgot that one😅 Havent had one in years after my mom rejected buying them after a facebook post about the coloring 😂 Im gonna buy them as soon as im back in the store again

Hey John! Love all your recipes and my family love eating them in five seconds lol. I’d love to see a recipe for some toffee cookies! Never had them before but I love toffee and it could give some nice crunch in some soft and chewy cookies!!
First time commenter - this is one of your better videos! Not quite sure if you were having fun, in a hurry, or had to much wine. But I did truly enjoy it!
I’m a fairly new subscriber here, but have followed a few of your recipes - my family LOVES them! Your baking knowledge is also so helpful, thanks John!!
When I used to live in Florida everytime I use to Go to the mall i would buy yogurt cookies omg they were heaven .you could taste the yogurt i would love it if you could make some . God bless you and your family i love your channel .and hello from the island of rhodes Greece
I’d love it if you did a video on substitutions for different ingredients in baking, such as applesauce instead of eggs. I’m trying to eat more plant based, so it would be really helpful!
I made these today with my son. They quickly disappeared after dinner! We love watching your channel! Our techniques are improving with the tips and tricks you share. Thank you! ❤️
Hey John. I’m a fan and love all your wonderful videos/recipes. Watching you today, I saw how much self control you had since you didn’t eat any M & M. I eat many chocolate chips when baking cookies. Would Love to see more videos with your adorable sons in them . So glad you’re in my life😄

Made the recipe twice now. I'd never made cookies before. So thanks! They turned out just like yours. I added some lemon/mandarin zest for extra flavor. Ps: I loved that putting in the refrigerator they become more crispy, which I love
Hey John..How do you stay so fit after making all these delicious food 🙌 Do you pls share the Secret 😁 I will make these cookies for kids during Halloween celebration. Thanks
I second this! Yes please!! Or some Gf recipes. I made his fudge brownies yesterday and substituted for Gf flour (bob mill 1 to 1) but somehow it turned out grainy which is weird because I stiff everything and it was extraordinarily rich and dense. (Which usually I’m all for that stuff but it was a bit much for me) anyways will have to play around with the recipe I guess!
Ooooo, hard choice but I would love to see an easy chocolate cookie, but if possible with Coco powder, instead of choc chips for the main flavour. Thankyou! And hope to see it in the future, and can't wait to try out this recipe. I would also like to see those types of cookies, that are just plain but have like jam or peanut butter and jam in the middle. I think they're called jam drop cookies?
How does the baking soda help these if there is no acid to react with? Is it just for flavour?🤔 I'd love to see you try to make Swedish Dream Cookies. 😊

Very easy
You can use chia seeds mixed in water for an egg substitute. Keep in mind that butter is not plant based.
A pack of vanilla pudding really adds flavor to these cookies:)
Interesting! Might need to try that
