I read so many horrible advice on this game mode but everything you say here is correct and helps to get an optimal run.
I also realized having good weapon trait beats a high level weapon, because it seems to me that traits don't scale with weapon level they are just super strong by themselves. A level 16 hollowseeker with "portal beam II" took me very far.
I realized grapple points are in containment rooms (yellow door) too in the main game, no wonder why. :)

Great guide, I relied too much on getting the carbine with leech rounds and was too scared of trying out the other weapons, so much so that they remained with basic traits. Now I'm trying everything

I fell into that trap before. Upgrade the Pyroshell caster, believe me 👍 seeking flares, auxillary projectiles, those two, look for those

great video, off the bat, that tip on stacking the shield was very helpful, also not picking up items is good too, I didnt know i had to keep hitting the enemy, NOW that is great to know....the grapple is the one thing that I didnt need help on lol I been doing so much of it cuz it helps me refocus for my next move during mini-boss in the story .....(also been grinding traits stat for weapon)

@@Elbethium i finally beat the final form of the boss, and got over 5 million and would of had more but a bat was under the map bringing my multiplier to 23 to 1 (I know 5 million isnt much but I finally made progress)

Great video, especially the grapple points that's a big deal and hardly covered. My issue are the disgorgers, imo are useless, inventory slots should be 1. Sheilds 2. Health packs 3. nullification sphere (for turret's) to rack up those mid air melees.
I mean for inexperienced players maybe but if you're looking for HIGH scores they aren't handy , your gun should deal as much damage if at a higher level but that's just my 2 cents. Good topics covered 😊
Oh i absolutely agree.
Only 1 disgorger is actually useful, the absolution one, especially on the algos later forms. I noticed it kind of freezes him in place, which is pretty useful for infinity forms.
And hey, thank you SO much. Grapple is the most OP thing in the entire game, how i beat the whole game no damage
@@Elbethium See really you don't wanna be using them against algos(even at final form), my fully upgraded Pyroshell melts him no hits, ideally you wanna be saving them (if you do use them) for the harder rooms in later phases.

@@Elbethium 83 million is a noice score dude, try doing runs without using them and stock up on health, shields and turret spheres and you'll notice a difference, cos the spheres (when your multiplier is high) will boost your score SO much! Your gun (if fully upgraded) should be getting you further too. Think mine for my ultra run where 2 at level 3 and 2 at level 2.
@@youremuted oh i deal with turrets no problem, never get hit. Unless the actual use of sphears gets the score up??

What do you gain from completing the tower. Also, do you still get to keep your blade and grapple if you lose in the tower? I haven't completed the game entirely yet. I'm on the third level
Nothing tbh it is just a cool arcadey add-on to the game. I suggest you finish the game first

Got to phase 6 Room 18 today. Pretty happy about that. Had Carbine Lvl 45 with Leech rounds are great as they give you silphium (life). What a great perk.

I learned the one shot thing the hard way last night 🤣. I finaly got to 6 millones for the first time and had like half a bar of health and a large silphium vile and this big things lunged at me around 4-10 and one hit took me out. That was painful
Oh that does hurt indeed. Do you have your weapons maxed out with traits?
I cant recommend you use the pyroshell caster enougu. Look for homing and auxillary projectiles on it
I still have some questions. I'm only in biome 5, but I'm stuck. I want it to be easier to get good weapons and traits. I really just want to beat the game, but should I play the tower to get better traits? Will it carry over into the campaign? Will I actually get some new guns?
Yes to all. I got in a rut in the main game so I went and upgraded my weapons in the tower. Also found a couple new ones. They carried over to the main game. I beat the game shortly after my tower diversion
Thanks for video. I just beat boss 2 and 3 (Gotta love the regen health when low artifact. Didnt even need my astronaut. It also sucks cause I spent 6 ether at all 3 revive slots and never needed them that run. Then I got teleported after 3rd boss into the futire but lost all my parasites and artifacts :( Found this tower and was curious thanks for explaining ill save this stuff till after i beat main game.

you talk for a while about keeping your multiplayer up. But you don't ever say what your multiplayer does.

Doors are better because you get disgorgers (add-on’s to your weapon) along with artifacts and your choice of silphium/ obolotes/ calibrator, while in the chest you get only one of the above options
Great video! I don’t think the Tower of Sisyphus is hard overall. In my opinion it gets super difficult when you have a really high score that you want to break. Especially after Phase 5. The guns I use is Dreadbound, Pyroshell Caster and Thermogentic Launcher.

@@Elbethium Facts!! Most of the traits are OP All I need is Streamline Chamber, Auxiliary Projectiles, Seeking Flares and Simmering Explosion. Secondary Explosion is just an added bonus!
IN PHASE 1 ROOM 5 , I CANT PICK UP THAT SILPHIUM VIAL EVEN THOUGH I HAVE VISOR PERSONAL ITEM
