- The tower of Sisyphus is a pleasant experience until you get to phase 4 and then you don’t understand what is happening anymore [So many Deaths]. Luckily i have found out how to efficiently make it through phase 4 and all the coming levels. Unfortunately it involves a lot of luck
I was able to reach phase 8 before starting to choke. But i also scored 23 Millions and ended up 50 on the leaderboard

Very good tips for players who also want to get the tower achievements, the gameplay you show is also very good, one thing that I've to say in return that the electro weapon is also very useful, it helps with damaging the enemy while the player is focused on other things 🙂👏👏💯👍
great tip on protection. also, it hurts my soul that lobber-chan has zero traits unlocked (9:43 in the video)
Hahaha i mostly use the carbine, hollowseeker and the dreadbound
Tried the lobber once and thought “ Naaaah”
@@Djisso the lobber with overload bolts hard carried me to my b5 and b6 clears, plus once you get two shots on it the reload cadence is the drum beat from we will rock you, literally just play that in my head dash around randomly and spray blobs everywhere and usually do better than i'd otherwise do - it one shots a lot of stuff and is worth another look methinks lobberchan is super based (even though overload bolts doesnt exist in tower)
Lobber is sick and OHKOs anything that's not a miniboss because of DPS. You can fire and forget, or get close with Durable Rot -gives you a +20% protection bonus if standing in a rot puddle. Portal Rot is insane too; Durable and Caustic increase usability further. I did really love Dreadbound for the main game, but with all the open space in the tower I've been a little Spooked to use it. I'll give it a try next time!
Also don't forget you can destroy artifacts in your equipment screen. Even in the normal game mode.
8:30 don't agree, your hookshot is your real dash move in this gamemode.
I get to about phase 2 level 10. I completed returnal for thr first time yesterday (i started playing at the end of september) and now im aiming for rhe next bits x
Great tips throughout! Was going for damage and protection as well. I was able to get to 20M points with electopylon. Traits that helped were streamlined chamber, protective pylons, enlarged chamber and silphium extractor.

I love the electropylon too but i just can’t use it properly against flying enemies (especially the robots). Most of the time i find myself running for my life as opposed to being aggressive
i try to just spray pylons at the wall and run for my life, use the episode 9 energy field to kill them rather than try to shoot them
@@dallassoukup5199 weirdly enough I reached phase 8 room 10 with 26M score. I had like 15 disgorgers that I should’ve used more often in tough rooms. The challenge on higher levels is your hp goes down like crazy on hits.

The fact that your health goes down really fast the higher the room annoys me since you can’t upgrade your protection or damage past a certain level

I always go for that integrity and i do not see how i would get even further than i ever have without it
The thing about integrity is that you will upgrade it no matter what (after each fight against Algos and while collecting resins). In my experience, being able to kill enemies faster with the damage boost and have protection maxed out are way more efficient than having integrity maxed out and dying in two hits 😓
By the time you reach phase 5-6, everything will be maxed out either way so it is all about making it there
Really helpful tips mate, gonna try them today! But I'd partially disagree with the weapon choice, as I'd suggest to go with what works best for you. I am an absolute noob with Dreadbound.
Of Course One should use the weapon they feel most comfortable with. But Do try to get better at using Dreadbound. It is highly efficient to deal with enemies as it melts their health. Plus, you wont ever have to reload
@@Djisso I have been doing that since watching your video haha! Almost every elite players seem to be reliant on Dreadbound for the latter phases.

And I don’t think you need to be good at the game to make it. When It comes to Returnal in particular, your runs mostly depends on the artifacts and items you will collect along the way
The only weapon I'd pick over the Dreadbound is the Carbine with Leech Rounds, that shit is OP.
Especially when you have items to increase your healing abilities. It becomes really strong
@@Djisso Yes! I think the best weapon I ever got was a Lvl. 45 Carbine with Rising Pitch, Armor Piercing, Hardened, and Leech Rounds. Probably will be my best tower run for quite a while.

Returnal reddit says protection is useless in higher phases. That true?
Lemme put it this way : do you prefer taking 2 hits and die or Taking 4 ? And you still need to make it to those higher levels in the first place. Having 50% more protection makes a big difference even against the heavy hitters
@@Djisso but that doesnt matter for higher phases. Like the really high ones. They say you still get 1 hit or something
@@TrickyJebus It's protection and damage augments everytime. Yes protection does become less viable in double digits phases but it's still very important.

Long Story Short: The Tower is Endless. I got with use of WeMod to Phase 10.

I think the electropylon ! driver is the best weapon on returnal it’s the easy mode
My go to weapon for the tower are Rotglobber with explosive rot and other traits, pryoshell with auxiliary projectiles, seeking flares and simmering explosion and the hollowseeker with portal beam and turret. But other than that, as long as your weapon damage and protection is high, you’ll be fine. Dying is inevitable though.

There is no silly question !
First you need to exhaust the Damage augment upgrade at the fabrication
After you do so, protection will replace it
Didn't encounter any protection increasing items through phase 3. Had full integrity but still squishy.
Ooh you first have to deplete the Integrity Augment or the damage one, then Either one of them will get replaced with The protection one

Great video and tips. My question as a newer player to this mode is, how do you unlock(reveal) the translucent podiums with items on it in the in between safe rooms? Thank you, and yes I will always go for protection now.

And concerning your question, sometimes at the beginning of certain encounters, you will see some harmless enemies which tend to eventually disappear after 10s I think. They don’t do anything, they are very white and they have tentacles. Killing them will allow you to travel to an unknown location where you can get some items with a guaranteed Atropian Key. And the key is the item to use in order to access the optional areas you mentioned ✨
@@Djisso Thank you for the response. So I have found some keys and used them on the locked gates similar to the story mode. So the keys work on the podiums too? I may not have been clear in my question. Its those clear ( almost invisible) tables that look like they are holding a sliphium vile consumable. But I cant interact with. Ive beaten the game but working on secret ending now, so I dont know if there is a final ability to unlock after the visor. Thank you for your time as any info can help.

@@Djisso the multiplier, once it gets higher your melee attacks produce more points, also the faster you get to the warp the more points you generate, that's basically it.
I'm sure you know about all the stuff They changed in the latest update.
What do you think about the update? Do you like it or it sucks?
