WOW! This has to be one of the most well produced, shot and edited videos of MONO I've ever seen. Thank you Fender!
I etched for mono on a show and I learnt a whole new level of real precision in tone and approach, Takaakira hired 4 fender twins then spent an hour with them all lined up listening to each one and singling them out until he had picked the one , he spoke mostly in Japanese but would use hand signs to describe what he was hearing with different pedals on, he played an almost religious set to me, it was meditative and contemplative and so emotional and just when I thought it was this soft musical journey hey let off his seat and was hammering his jazz master and hitting pedals and the noise was like what I imagine being inside the eye of a hurricane ,. it was ON ANOTHER LEVEL , ive been guitar tech for maybe 100+ bands over 30 years and no band has ever had an experience on me for with me like MONO. I didn't know there work before the show so im not a fanboy but as I packed down that night I knew looking into the people quietly preparing themselves to go home , everyone else was in the same space I was, liken had all as a group been ushered through this experience but we all travelled it on our own inside (a shared isolated personal experience I guess) and how their music effected us was our own. this is the height of what guitar music can be when you take away ego . thank you for that night Takaakira and Mono.
Bored
Awesome experience, thanks for sharing! I saw Mono at a small club in San Francisco, 2005. I was up against the stage in awe of these amazing musicians. They conjured tornadoes on that stage, it raised the hair on the back of my neck. One of the best bands I’ve seen, they are incredible. 🌪🎸
I’m surprised and amazed Fender has done this! More post rock / Shoegaze, less dad rock/blues. Great choice ❤
Post rock…. You’ve no idea what your talking. And yeah sure like this guys are teenagers…..
@@estebanamaya2056 this is post rock / experimental. What else would you call it? It’s not about the age…it’s about the everyday dad rock and blues 🫠
@@estebanamaya2056this is post-rock smartass🤡
@@gazzy_burnsExplosions in the Sky and Mono: post-rock.
This stuff was played by now Dad’s 30+ years ago. Just younger guys doing it. See Ride, My Bloody Valentine.
Been listening to Mono since 2008 and really appreciate that you highlight this amazing band.
A shame though that you don't show Tamaki's playing on the bass, just because she's playing on a Gibson...
Yes, she disappeared from the video as soon as the bass started 😞
I've seen Mono live multiple times at small venues and had the pleasure of meeting them. Their sound is huge and at their shows you can feel the music wash over your entire body. It's hard to capture the intensity of how epic this band is, but I'm delighted Fender made this video. An amazing snapshot of one of the best bands on the planet.
4人がこれだけ語ってくれて、しかも演奏も観れる、聴けるなんて、とてもしあわせ。
Man, these curtains!! Pure genius.
Mono. Soundtrack of my 20s. Dreams of Finlandia and Japan.
Its so cool to see MONO on the Fender page! Im a big fan. Shoutouts to the post-rock community! Please add more!
I found out about MONO after falling in love with Caspian and wanting to learn more about them, I went to their wikipedia page where it said Caspian did a support gig for MONO. I am so grateful for finding this band man.
This band has been a huge inspiration on us forming and to finally see them get this recognition and quality of production is actually quite emotional, even though we don't know them. Fender should also be commended for making it solely about the music and not pushing new instruments in the video to try and sell a few extra guitars. ❤
Seen them live a few times. Doesn't get much better than this.
Seeing them in person is an incredible experience really. I went with 4 friends that never even heard them before and they were floored. Loudest band I’ve ever seen I couldn’t hear straight for almost a week
Everyone wear earplug protection (audiophile one) at concert, ear damage don't recover well 🙏🏼
Would buy a signature Jazzmaster in a heartbeat. That JM/Twin combo has taken the air out of my lungs several times from the front row. ❤
MONO is on another level. So glad you covered them, and did it well.
One of my most influential bands ever... long life for u.
Have no words to explain how MONO makes me explode in emotions!
Thank you Fender for this epic and unexpected upload! Deep love and eternal respect for MONO...
Their music is so magical ! Finally could see them live last year !! Incredible concert
Most unexpected and beautiful notification i recieved. Best post rock band of all time
Hell yeah I love MONO. Glad they're getting some love on here
Mono...Best band of the universe...
Fantastic! Thanks for introducing this killer group to me - absolutely love their sound!! 🎸🎸🙌
The greatest band humanity ever have known
That first track hits deep & speaks to my soul, even now. Thank you, Fender & MONO.
Still one of the best bands on earth..music straight out of emotions! So great!!!
Best thing I've seen on the internet in a long time
I discovered MONO years and years ago (feels like about 20 years ago), they have some really great stuff, great style. Really surprised to see them here on Fender's channel as I was always under the impression they were not widely known and Big Corp tends to always do Big Corp things. They're definitely worth checking out.
Fantastic. I had never heard of them before. Thank you Fender for producing this!
By far my favorite Fender sessions!
So suprised to see Mono here!
Absolutely fantastic. One of my favorite instrumental groups. Just goes to show guitar isn't just about flashy rock solos or blues licks. Their music is truly incredible. Hope more people find them!🤘
Keeping ambient pedal makers alive all around the world. Looks like both of them have a stereo setup, which contributes a lot to the massiveness. My Bloody Valentine would be proud.
Mono is awesome! They are the band that introduced me to post rock a few years ago. These guys shaped how I look at and play music now. Good job fender, way to bring this amazing band to so many new people.
Thank you Fender for this upload. All these years later, these songs still give me chills from top to bottom.
あなた達は日本の誇りです
Impressive live performance! MONO is always the hymn of view.
Best fender session out there no questions asked

Fender, In adition, we need one like this by Explosions in the sky, please! 🙏
So mysterious atmosphere!
Utterly glorious.
Just WOW!
They could have shot Tamaki playing without showing the Gibson label on her bass. Second song looks pretty weird without her.
Totally agree with you, she has an incredible stage presence btw.
Thank you MONO; I needed this today. 😭
Love love love this!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! Mono is my favorite band ever. Such amazing music!

Great collaboration, @Fender! MONO is the reason I bought a Jazzmaster; incredible stuff.
really awesome band, great sounds.
Awesome, greetings from Perú
Brilliant! Thanks Fender
MONO. Please, Please, Please play the Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles some day. I remember asking Takada if they could take a look at playing there during the Hymn tour.
Mono is the reason I love post rock music...
Very well done, congratulations... I love Japan.
This is the best of the best!
INCREDIBLE!
Incredible band 💛
Amazing!
I love Mono. I love Fender. This is extraordinary content.
Thanks!! 🔥🖤
Beautiful
🖤🖤🖤
MONO is fantastic!!!
Mono ❤
So good
Really cool video, just learning about Mono now. The only thing was, in the last song, there were no shots of the lady! Was she on bass? I know she started on xylophone or something, but I really wanted to see what she was doing throughout the climax, but each shot was only 2 guitarists and drummer... Apart from that really great production.
Awesome
Mono forever !
MONO ❤
Thank you Fender for not forcing closed captioning on us!
Thank you! But...there is a big video editing error at 5:40 :(
MONO 🖤
Perfect Unique

That Jazzmaster would make a cool artist model... Just saying
01:21 Kanata

Tamaki, where are you? )))
Toe band now please (telecaster/jazzmaster) :)
In Venice it would have been "Mona"
