I'm 11 mths transitioning it's been a real struggle for me. Just like you said protective styles saved me. I am going to try the auntie jackies curl la la. Thanks for the wonderful tips. I always look forward for your videos and post on ig.
I’m about 18 months into transitioning. I think I want to wait until the 24th month to cut the remaining relaxed ends off. It may come sooner bc my hair was very thick with a relaxer & is now crazy thick! I think I’m afraid of the unknown of how I’m going to look & how I am going to style my hair once I cut it. However it’s exciting finding my curl pattern after all these years of being relaxed!
Kaylen L I transitioned for 16 months and yesss the struggle was real lol. Braidouts was my go to hairstyle and flexi rods. I big chopped back in Dec. and I am sooo glad I did. Don’t get me wrong I was scared of big chopping and of the unknown but I couldn’t do it any longer and trust me when you are ready u will know. Now I am 3 months post big chop I am loving my natural hair and the journey. Wash and gos are my best friend and I see a lot of growth already. I think it’s because I do my hair on Sunday and I leave it in a wash and go for seven days til next wash day. So it’s a low maintenance style for me. But Good luck to you and your hair journey 😊
LadyJ Kelley I love flexi rods! I have not mastered the braidouts bc I’m not that good of a braider lol 😝 I cannot wait to be completely natural & to try a wash & go! Congratulations on being fully natural! Can’t wait to join the club ❤️
Kaylen L Thank you 😊 and congratulations for going 18 months that’s a long time. But you can do it girl!! Keep me posted when you big chop and join the club 😊
A/most one year, it is so difficult. Actually I have been getting my hair flat iron one a month. Will definitely consider leaving the heat off. My problem is the products, will try the products you suggest. Thankyou
I been natural for a year and half. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my hair cause my hair is at this length that's taken a long time to grow and get pass it. I was thinking about getting some braids for a few months to get my hair to go. Do you have any suggestions for me?

I started to transition and just could no longer stand the straight hair. I ended up chopping it all off and I’ve never been happier.
