I would specifically look for specialty dealerships that handle classics specifically. I'm sure Europe has them just like the United States and Australia. You're probably going to pay a premium but you're also probably going to get a warranty of some kind and I would insist on it. I would say if you have the money to fix up a wreck you're better off buying one that's already been restored and keeping and maintaining it well.
