What a wonderful, special and self aware guy he was. I loved your meeting! Made me cry when you guys said goodbye...not sure why but perhaps I could just feel that it was a very special meeting. I would love to do something like this alone! I am a secret introvert though most people would describe me as an outrovert, but I am absolutely not, so I find these things necessary. Loved this episode! Loved it!!! x
Armita Asgari Thank you! I chose the music and the shots after our goodbye because I wanted to somehow capture that sweet melancholy when you have a random meeting and then you just continue on your separate paths and feel grateful and pensive and a little sad because sometimes a fleeting connection almost heightens your awareness of the lack of company after it disappears. Yes, I understand that position of people assuming one is an extrovert. I would describe myself as an ambivert - I have a side of me that is very shy and feels drained by the wrong company and more comfortable one on one and a side that is highly social. 💗
Another great episode kylie. It was like Matteo was destined to be in this video. To get a stranger to express his feelings like that, was great to watch. You have a real gift their kylie, keep sharing it with the world.
I don't know how it always happens, but I always cry at some point while listening to what you have to say, and I have no idea why other than who you are is so kind and caring and it touches my heart. You are such a rare treasure to have found, and I wish for everyone to find you! I believe the world's worries would mostly go away if everyone just watched Kylie
Rixanne H I find it so comforting to know there are other sentimental souls out there like me because sometimes I’m editing and find a piece of music and get moved to tears so it’s incredibly gratifying to read that you connect on the same level.
Your engagement with your emotions, those around you and your environment is endearing, no matter where you land. The vistas are breathtaking and brilliantly highlighted through your camera and drone skills. Beautifully and well done!
Watching in 2020. Covid-19 has changed so many things in the world. Loved watching this series. Thinking that those mountains have been there forever and will still be there for years to come, long after the trouble of today.
i have discovered this video 2.5...almost 3...yrs after you filmed the series. wow. you have laid your soul bare to the universe. i think matteo is an angel or whatever you wish to call him...who was sent to intersect on your path. though we are many years apart in age, my dear, you are an inspiration that no matter what your age or station in life, we are all the same deep down on some level. if only we become brave enough to connect. to realize this similarity. you have done more for my mental health and dealing with the daily horribleness that is the pandemic...that is what i have to see daily as a critical care nurse. death, dying, the unknown...do i have it? does he or she have it? who is the next of us to get it? what will happen to us? the most terrible of these things is the separation the patients and families have had to endure for over 5 months now. i cannot imagine. we become their family, their only human connection on either their path to restored health or to eternal ease. know that you are making connections through technology that are helping others on some level to deal with their own issues and helping some of us to recharge. thank you, dear one.
I cried at the beauty of your cinematography . . . you are so gifted, and such a wonderful storyteller and artist. The beauty of your strength, resilience, determination and vulnerability are beyond inspirational. Thank you for the gift of these videos. Thank you for sharing your story and your art with us. You remind me of what life can be, what it could be if we take the right risks, worthwhile risks, and trust ourselves and strangers. I am both humbled and emboldened by your example.
The way you create your films touches all the feelings. I was scared with you, in awe of what your eyes were seeing (though thankful not feeling hiking pains) and my heart full of where you let us go with you, so raw, on this trip, and in your films. I am thankful I have cross your path virtually Kylie. You are making my journey through chemo better with every film I watch. I look to my moment, right now, where I am at and where I could take it leveling up. Thank you Kylie. ❤ and blessings.
Kylie, I can not thank you enough, for sharing your experiences. I started learning Italian, had an idea to move to Italy, found one of your videos and that thought developed into a dream. I'm glad you say we motivate you, because when I feel like I'm falling short on achieving that dream, I just watch one of your videos and get jolted with a shock wave of inspiration. Continue. When things seem impossble and you feel as if your effort is so infinite you loose sight of the finish line, just think of the amazing things you have already done. Think of all the people, like me, whom's life you have affected indefinitely, through capturing instances of your story and so brilliantly developing these beautiful works of art. You are very talented. Fear not how much of the road ahead you are able to see, for your limits lie beyond the faintest of stars, in the night sky. While others mind the beaten path, your better off building a rocket ship. Thank you, again, for helping spark a flame, that has know spread across the fields of my heart! Maybe, once I have made it there, I will see you in Italy sometime!
Dear Kylie, I am at the age (81) where it would be impossible to hike the Dolomites, even though I have the desire. You have made it possible for me to accompany you on this fabulous adventure. I thank you will all my heart.
I dont have enough words to describe how much i love your videos, your outlook on life, and being able to share that on youtube for people all over the world to see. This series and all your videos are amazing and so inspiring, im at a loss for words...
Thank you Kylie...you are so incredibly strong and your inner soul comes through in every video you produce. I am 61 now and fighting the clock and have dedicated myself to discovering the world before time takes its toll.
Wow, the Dolomites are beautiful. I watched all 4 parts of your series. You were very brave & courageous to keep going when you thought you were lost on the mountain trail. You made new friends and had another amazing trip. I hope to find my "Kylie" one day. You are an amazing soul. Adventurous, an incredible cook. Incredibly talented & creative at so many things and even more important. You have the most sincere heart & positive attitude.
Heartening to watch this adventure Kylie and how strongly we can empathise with you. And what a unique and wonderful soul, the young man Matteo who you met enroute. Thanks for sharing Kylie. XX
What an amazing adventure. Your ability to take us with you is truly a gift. A hike like that requires you to be in shape. Do you bring pepper space or a gun for protection? And hands off to you for just going and concurring your dreams. The beginning of the first video touched my heart. I thought, wow that’s me. That’s how the inside of my head thinks. I no longer feel like I’ve got it all wrong. It’s just being human. Thank you!
Wow, I literally had chills as this episode played out culminating in prickling of tears behind my eyelids at the emotional ending! What beauty, kindness and honesty from you and your new friends you met along the way...I love that these videos are my nightly ritual, not some random Hollywood television show or movie, but videos of real content, woven together so delicately!! Love and hugs 💙
For me, as a beginner/starter hiker, this four epizodes altogether was the most inspiring, heartening and encouraging movie I've ever seen so far about hiking. Thank You!
All your Dolomites videos are supremely awesome and inspiring! Your shots and drone cams are stunning. The people you’ve met had wonderful stories to tell... Thank you for the series!
Kylie, you are like an angel who came on this world to show us the beauty of our world, the freedom we can have, the love we can share together and that all our dreams can be true if we believe and we work hard on them
Great Adventure Kylie! Love the video, the beauty of the mountains, the honesty of your encounter and the pure joy of the unexpected. Thank you for being you, for being honest, open and unpretentious. Rare today in the world we live in❤
Marianna Laetitia I’m so glad you agree. He wrote and told me he still feels that he is in some way lacking so I’m urging him to read these comments and realise how much people admire his sincerity. 💗
I've been planning a solo trip to the Dolomites this August and, searching for other solo female travelers, came across your channel. I felt my heart flutter at the scenery, smiled at the connection you had with people along your way and even cried a bit with you when you got lost that first day. I feel absolutely emotionally ready for this trip. Thank you, this vlog series is everything.
CaterinaCo So glad you liked it! Apparently hiking this region is a whole different experience in the summer or spring so you should meet LOTS of people and certainly not find yourself lost with not a soul around! Good luck and thank you for watching.
I just found your channel for the first time and I found this video incredibly inspiring. I'm only 18 and before this year started I used to never even try to have dreams like this. Being so young, people try to tell you what is realistic and what should happen, but this video blew all that nonsense out of the water. Thank you so much for sharing your creative content and inspiring so many people! Can't wait for more videos! :)
I just finished watching this whole series and I loved every moment of it. Even the part where you wanted to lie in the meadow and relax I was concerned that you would have to than walk at night! What an amazing trip for how brave you are to have done that yourself x
Wow what a wonderful experience Kylie, I can't imagine what you've been thru .....the ups and downs, the fear of being lost, the physical pain... omg this so inspiring, you are one of the rarest, loving, inspiring people that I've ever known on social media whos life experience in Italy has rubbed off on me, you got me inspired from the get go.... because of you, i went hiking and kayaking in Bosnia, and now my next trip in March is in Abruzzo ! Thank you for taking us with you through it all. Un abbraccio. E in bocca al lupo !! Non posso asspettare di piu !!
This is seriously so inspirational. I cant ever imagine having the ability to do this, but something in me tells me that some day i will . Some day i will do some crazy amazing thing like this and that makes me excited. When that day comes i'll surely be thinking of the women out there like you who have inspired me. Thanks for sharing such an amazing experience with use, and being so truthful on your fears and joys.
Hi Kylie, such an amazing adventure. I could find myself longing for mountains and forest and the lack of any other sound not made by nature. Thank you for transporting me there!
I just binged on all 4. You are such a talented filmmaker. I always admire your emotional take-no matter the subject. A beautiful and raw look into Kylie. Your bravery is astounding and Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure.
"You just get caught up in behaving like sheep" So true , BUT not all comments are the same and definitely not all pictures are the same! As another person said, you have a GIFT! If it wasn't for this social media world we couldn't have had the opportunity to met you! I follow you on IG and every time I see a post or a story I get reminded that we are only here for a short amount of time and we need to make the best of it! By doing what makes us happy will make this life better and hopefully let us help others along the way! GRAZIE MILLE
I am on IG for 3 yrs., and I'm about to quit for all the reasons Matteo spoke about. Sometimes I miss my pre-Social Media life. Gathering immense amount of 'data' through social media, doesn't necessarily make us wiser or happier.
Kylie, this series is beautiful! I love how you always include the interactions that seem random but are often so helpful. Thank you for translating the Italian because I don't know it aha. I was already smiling the entire episode but 19:10-19:12 made me smile even harder! I love that you added that small bit (it doesn't go unnoticed). As always, I'm thankful that you make RUclips videos! When I watch what you make, I feel re-energized to keep making and to push to create outside of my comfort level.
Kristin Witcher I LOVE LOVE LOVE people who notice small details! I rely so much on my faith that people like you are watching. Sometimes my mother calls me and says “why are you so spending so much time on this - just get it out and move on, do people even appreciate all the little details?!” But the whole reason I do this work is to be connected to people like you who DO have a passion for subtleties and detail! 💕💕💕
Kylie, you are like a best friend that I've yet to meet. I spent half of my entire life in the military which took me to far away places. I retired in 2013 and started working in an office in Houston. In the short three years that I worked there I could feel myself getting physically I'll and knew that I had to get out. My kids are grown and my marriage has ended so there is now nothing stopping me. I'm now waiting for my daughter to return from Korea and after visiting for a bit I'll be off on my greatest adventure yet. I'm going to Europe for three months and then off to Russia and ride the Trans-Siberian railroad to Vladivostok, ferry to Japan and fly home from there. I've already begun planning for the year after that as well. I don't believe that I was made to sit in one place. You have rapidly climbed up my list of most beautiful women on Earth. I have no doubt that you will go even higher. Thank you for your videos. You are a truly beautiful soul in a world that needs it. Much love from Texas!
Rick Chollett thank you for sharing this with me. I love knowing more about the people I am creating for. Good luck on that amazing adventure. It sounds like you were destined to be out exploring.
Kylie Flavell In some way I want someone to explore with me. But more so I want to get in touch with myself. I can always share the experience afterwards.
great story! I'm glad you were smart enough to recognize the lifestyle was killing you and got out. All too often people resign themselves to the status quo and think they'll get used to it...or everybody else is doing it, I should too. We are all different, our bodies and minds need different things to survive and thrive. You are an inspiration in telling your story Rick, thank you!
Rixanne H Thank you. I found out that a guy that I worked with just had a heart attack on Christmas Eve. He's fine now but I can't help but think how that could have been me. A sedentary lifestyle is not healthy at all.
Watching some of your old videos back whilst sitting inside on a rainy day! You're such a talented filmmaker and what an inspiration. Your videos fill me with life and motivation to travel and I wish more people could discover your creative and beautiful videos xxx
So many goosebumps! Kylie your work is so pure and genuine and its breathtaking just like you are and your personality. Im originally from Switzerland and live in a flat part of Canada and the mountains bring me so much happiness when I go home to visit them.
Kylie your amazing, your videos inspire me and make me want to get up and go on an adventure everyday! Your work is amazing and keep doing what you are doing. You are a gem and you need to be more known. I cant wait for your next adventure, take care and never give up on your dreams.
What an incredible journey for you ... so beautiful. I admire your strength and fortitude. You conquered your fears and forged on to discover that you could do it. Well done! ❤️
Hi Kylie, this series is so beautyful! I love the way you lived this experience. You made me want to have a similar experience. I would like to try to spend some time outdoors in the mountains alone to clear my mind and focus my life. Your videos are so inspiring, Thank you for sharing!
Hi Kylie I pay you my compliments for your Italian! In my opinion the dolomites are the most beautiful place in the world for a mountain lover. The dolomites have become my home despite being born by the sea. Be careful when flying with the drone there are some prohibited areas such as Valparola Pass, Falzarego Pass and so on because you are in a natural park: before taking off it is always better to consult the aeronautical drone charts. I wish you happy travels!
Hi Kylie, i loved this videos on Dolomites, this are the mountains where i grew up and they're much more than simple rocks for me. I suggest you to read some books of Walter Bonatti, he was a giant of alpinism, but he teached me more about life than mountaineering...i'm sure you will love him too!
Kylie la Regione Veneto dovrebbe pagarti e anche molto bene per questi bellissimi video. Grazie ! Kylie the Veneto Region should pay you and also very well for these beautiful videos. Thank you !
I will be trekking the Dolomites in mid Sept 2018. Thank you so much for your docu-trek. It really helped and was very enjoyable. It was also good to see such a lovely soul overcome her fears and anxiety. I hope you and Mateo find each other again :-)
Wow Kylie you grew up on a boat? That's amazing. I live aboard in Marina del Rey Los Angeles. You have an open invitation for dinner aboard whenever you are in town. Also I would love to see you do an episode where you read aloud a letter to your twenty-year-old self. I thoroughly enjoy your work.
Always a breathe of fresh air your vlogs, your personality, your life and your poetry. Knowing you live that life gives me hope that i can too. If i could give you a vision in your dreams, i'd give you a pair of comfortable shoes. Haha! Please bring some sandals next time for the flat walks. Stay safe and happy dear!
i had seen your vlogs in a while. Mostly because I'm not that into romantic material, even so, i love the quality of your cinematography. This documentary is a masterpiece. Thanks! Don't stop being yourself
You are an amazing person Kylie, your dolomites videos have inspired me to finally take the time to go on a solo trip to Spain this summer. I booked the plane ticket today!
Wow very cool! I just found your channel about a week ago and I just can’t stop watching your videos. You’re so inspiring going out and doing what you love! I also really love to travel and would love to do what you’re doing and watching your videos gives me hope than I can! Thank you!
I wish I had your courage. I have been watching your videos and enjoying everyone. I have family in Palermo ,Rome and Torino. I’ve never had the pleasure to Visit. I speak no Italian. I listen to your stories and see your adventure then I say to myself why can’t I? I hope life always gives you all you wish for. You seem like Such a sweet person. I love you friend also. He’s adorable I forget his name but he visits you once a year lolol. Be safe in this time of this terrible Virus. Always enjoy la dolce vita lolol Did I say that correct lolol.
Unbelievable.... Wonderful experience amazing trip... Magnificent work.... Your are my best RUclips video maker.... I believe in your words.. Your feelings... Your emotions and your work... Please Kylie never surrender never give up.. And make it UP forever ! Love from Morocco! Meryem Nach
Hey Kylie! That was really beautiful I enjoyed watching this series very much as I live in Alaska I understand how redefining it can be to step out of the day to day and just go breath in nature with everything you have! I hope one day you will be able to make it to South East Alaska and experience even more joy, comfort but also challenge in our own nature here! But either way great work and I look forward to seeing what else you have in store!
Well if you are ever seriously interested my Instagram is dakota_jolie27 feel free to message me any time and I can help you figure out where you would like to go and do!! I am a former Youth Exchanger so I have many friends all around! :)
Anybody else just getting to this mountain party?? Watching in 2020 gives you a heightened sense of this beauty. Knowing that I can’t get there for now, this is the ONLY WAY I can see these mountains 🏔!!
Che posti meravigliosi e filmati stupendamente. Sei una vera professionista e ci metti il cuore. È un piacere seguire i tuoi video anche se non capisco tutto. Complimenti m
Kylie, thank you so much for this! my husband says that I am obsessed with you, and I suppose perhaps that he is right! I find you so incredibly inspiring! Plus, your photography is just so so amazing, as well as your conversations you have with us and people you meet. I also love all the skirts you wear, do you make those? or where do you get them, they are all so lovely!
Oh my gosh! The view, the emotions... I don't know what to say, I'm almost speechless !!! :O PS: I think I'd spend 2/3 of the journey shooting video and taking pictures of those places
Come across this series when I am checking out travel videos of my next destination. It is very different from other documentary video I've seen. It feels just so real. I love the way you tell the story and the people around you. An awesome production work!
I love the length of this one… You are one of the few, that have the gift to make such nice cinematographic art. About fears and life, perhaps you should meet Josje from Ramatree & ex SV Delos channels ...
I loved this so much !!!! I want to take my husband an go there- I loved all the people , especially the inn owners who”s grandfather rescued you- they were so sweet and the women who gave you a ride. I’m a hopeless romantic but I was hoping he would run back to you. - haaaaa I’m sorry this one is over loved casting this on my tv the scenery is beautiful- thanks again!!
I'm feeling the necessity to disconnect of everything some days and i choosed Dolomites. You gave me more inspiration and desire to recharge my batteries there. Thanks for your simplicity, your vision of life, your energy ! I wish to find the answers to my questions there :) I love the music at the end of your video. If someone knows what's the title Big Thanks

Domenico Caccamo thank you. You’re so sweet to say that. 🙏🙏🙏
While we’ve never met, your videos are the epitome of what technology was meant for. While we may motivate you, you continue to inspire us. ❤️

This was the most beautiful episode! Congratulations, Kylie, on your bold endeavor! Keep it up.

What a beautiful encounter, and shown with great sensitivity once again. As a loner hiker myself, I can perfectly relate with Matteo.🥾🗻
Just WOW. This is so beautiful. I keep on saying it again and again but ur such a gifted beautiful soul 🤍

Absolutely breathtaking! I love the stories you tell and the stories others share with you, truly inspiring xx
Wow, all four parts of this series have made me want to take the trek to this part of Italia, so beautiful and so inspiring. Thank you.
I just finished watching this whole series and I loved every moment of it. Even the part where you wanted to lie in the meadow and relax I was concerned that you would have to than walk at night! What an amazing trip for how brave you are to have done that yourself x
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes!!! It’s longer! So beautiful and cinematic. Great work Kylie!
Jocelyn Rendon So beautiful. Thank you!!!!
Hi Kylie, such an amazing adventure. I could find myself longing for mountains and forest and the lack of any other sound not made by nature. Thank you for transporting me there!
What an amazing adventure and so skillfully shot and edited. Great work!!!
Mela Roa 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
I am on IG for 3 yrs., and I'm about to quit for all the reasons Matteo spoke about. Sometimes I miss my pre-Social Media life. Gathering immense amount of 'data' through social media, doesn't necessarily make us wiser or happier.
This video is the very best. Congrats Kylie for all the effort you put into it and all the series
Wow I have enjoyed every one of your episodes your a true inspiration to many thanks for sharing your beautiful vlogs.xx
Wow, this episode is something a bit more powerful than I was expecting/hoping for but I also needed it. Thank you so much for this.
Love the Dolomites! Might be the most beautiful alps for me!
Watching some of your old videos back whilst sitting inside on a rainy day! You're such a talented filmmaker and what an inspiration. Your videos fill me with life and motivation to travel and I wish more people could discover your creative and beautiful videos xxx
Absolutely love this series. So beautiful. You have such talent, and such heart and soul ♡ xx
Lissy Loves thanks so much, lovely 💗💗💗
Wonderful video you are amazing and brave 🙏👏💗
So many goosebumps! Kylie your work is so pure and genuine and its breathtaking just like you are and your personality. Im originally from Switzerland and live in a flat part of Canada and the mountains bring me so much happiness when I go home to visit them.
Leslie S. Ahhhhh goosebumps is always the highest compliment for me. Thank you SO much!!!!! 💫💫💫
Francesco Bresaola thank you so much!!!
Hi Kylie I pay you my compliments for your Italian! In my opinion the dolomites are the most beautiful place in the world for a mountain lover.
The dolomites have become my home despite being born by the sea. Be careful when flying with the drone there are some prohibited areas such as Valparola Pass, Falzarego Pass and so on because you are in a natural park:
before taking off it is always better to consult the aeronautical drone charts.
Matteo
What a great series Kylie. We live close to Banff and this area reminds of the gorgeous nature. Keep up the amazing work. All the best from Canada!
Stop, breathe and be still. Positive words for life. Thanks for sharing these videos of such great footage. Highly enjoyable and interesting.

Dakota Purcell I would LOOOOOOOOVE to film and experience Alaska!!!

Gran bella serie! Complimenti. Bel viaggio e ottimi spunti su cui pensare.
PS: I think I'd spend 2/3 of the journey shooting video and taking pictures of those places
Steve Min Yes!!! That was definitely how I ended up falling behind every day!!! It was impossible to put the camera or drone down!!
Thank you for sharing those amazing beauties of nature and your awesome experience. Your content makes me feel uplifted and inspired.
Come across this series when I am checking out travel videos of my next destination. It is very different from other documentary video I've seen. It feels just so real. I love the way you tell the story and the people around you. An awesome production work!
So beautiful place. great video. 💖👍✌
I love the length of this one… You are one of the few, that have the gift to make such nice cinematographic art.
