I'm getting somewhat of a Rashid vibe from SF5 from the character Sagan. The character Franz makes me think of Karen's intro in SFA3, where her butler starts out in a fighting pose, and then get a serving tray thrown at him from behind to get him to leave, and then Karen jumps in.
I wanna say the early 90's flick that featured Tupac in what I believe was his first legit acting role, 'Juice', had a scene with Tupac and his friend going at it on the original S.F. cabinet, before the cops show up and bust all the kids who should actually be in school.
I thought it was a Street Fighter 2: World Warrior cabinet and not Street Fighter 1??? I know Street Fighter 1 appeared in the movie "Lean On Me". I think it was Street Fighter 2 in the movie "Juice".
The "u" in "Miguel" is silent, you should not pronounce it. The "u" is there to let you know that the "g" before it sounds like a hard "g" as in "golf" and not a soft "g" as it normaly would sound before an "e".
I briefly had HKM on a disk with dozens of games that was being passed around the schoolyard when it came out. I played it once which was way more than enough. Over the decades I went nuts trying to remember the name of that game. I even wondered if I'd just imagined something that bad.
Who would’ve thought that Tiertex were originally going to make Street Fighter 2,but at the end Capcom rejected their version of their sequel and made Human Killing Machine instead. Glad that they did, cause I can’t imagine if their version Street Fighter 2 would look like HKM.
Unrelated but I still wish King Cobra wasn't a scrapped character I don't know what Capcom was thinking turning him into Rufus I guess they wanted their own version of Bob from Tekken.
I had HKM on tape! It was one of my favourite Spectrum games at the time along with Ninja Hamster and Atomic Robokid. Oh how times have changed, if I could go back in time to my primary school ageself and say in the future you'll be able to play on your phone, wirelessly without any install the kind of video games you could only dream of 😆
With all these companies competing to make a sequel, you gotta wonder if that's the reason Capcom decided it would be profitable. They weren't even working on one yet it seems. These attempts may have all contributed a little bit to it being created and becoming a success.
Hey, Top Hat Gaming Man. Can you please do a review of Battle Circuit? It was Capcom's last beat-em-up game developed for the arcade on CPS-2 hardware and it was only released in Japan and Europe in 1997. It didn't get a home console port until the game was released as part of the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle for modern consoles and PC in 2018. Would you mind doing a video on that game for 2023, Top Hat?
Oh yeah. Loved this thing when Ashens covered it way back when heaven was new. Matt McMuscles did a video not long ago. I'm frankly weirded by the fact that this game isn't covered more often by RUclips retro gaming community!
I will never forgive Tiertex for taking my favorite childhood arcade games and turning them into janky impossible to control slideshows in tiny windows. A studio so incompetent would never be granted the license rights these days. Tho, honestly, strider 2 might have been okay if it had been more fluid and full screen. I remember checking arcades for it for years to see what it was supposed to look and play like
I’m not going to lie after SF2 (turbo, ultra, mega, etc) I never was that inclined to play another SF game. I don’t know I liked it but was always more of an MK guy. At least the ones that were out when I was a kid (so basically up to 4). The only fighting games I truly liked for the whole series was the “vs” series, starting with X-Men Child of the Atom! Then Marvel Superheroes, X-Men vs SF, Marvel Vs Capcom, MVC2 and MVC3 (ultimate)…but not the garbage rushed one that came out last of course.
Human Killing Machine, it be hard to see this get Mugen remaster, as the sprites are so limited. It need to photoshop more frames sprites, maybe add in 1 or 2 or even 3 more frames pre-moves/attacks to look even decent.
You would definitely need to fill in additonal sprite work thats for sure. But heck if your gonna do that why stop there. Hit Sparks Actual Sound Effects Get someone to make a soundtrack thats worth a damn burn that money and time in style. Street Fighter 2010 on famicom version the name was Kevin Striker. But the problem is USA version will change into Ken instead- just like Balrog but the real name is M. Bison a famous africa american boxer, in japanese version in Super Famicom Capcom USA most of it were messed up.
Technically Mike didn't fall by the wayside, he was in the original release of SF2 but they lengthened his name to Mike Bison (in case anyone was still confused as to who he was supposed to be a parody of). However for the English release Capcom would switch the names of Balrog/Vega/Bison around out of fear Mike Tyson would sue them, then later they would retcon SF1 Mike and SF2 Mike (now Balrog) into separate characters.
I can kinda see the butler guy being reworked as a fun ranged character. Just y'know... completely change the gameplay mechanics and redesign the character.
Holy Moly, I've never heard of this game but it's so ridiculously old school that I'd love to play it. Heck, I would even support crowdfuding of a remaster. No way that would ever get green lit but if it would, they'd have my money for sure.^^
THANK GOD!! Can't imagine what my childhood would have been like if that was SFII. Without SFII world warrior, the fighting game genre would not have progressed the way it did to what it is now. SFII isn't the ancestor but is certainly the father and grandfather of many titles out there
just how many frame rate in this game movement .. a 1 frame rate a second ? there's no way this can be super Nintendo or mega drive game .. these frame rate is just as Atari or something
Honestly; with all due respect, the original Street Fighter sucked. Over the years players have improved on its mechanics, but without alterations it would probably be equally as bad as this game. In fact if this game were upgraded and the offensive stuff were changed it probably could be a good stand alone game; not connected to Street Fighter lore. For its time period; and considering how bad the original Street Fighter was, I think it was a logical approach to a Street Fighter sequel. Capcom' s attempts sucked. Yes we got the Final Fight series out of it and Street Fighter 2010; even though that game should be considered a good one off game, Capcom did not have the ability to create the spirit of the FIRST game. That said Street Fighter 2 is a masterpiece and I'm glad Capcom finally found their niche', but they still didn't have to make 50 different versions of the same damn game. That's the one thing I never liked about Capcom. Pokémon too.
Geki, Mike, Joe, Lee, and Retsu are what I like to call "The Forgotten Street Fighters".
"We'll punch and kick this dog until it stopes moving." That needs to be put on a shirt!

when sf2 came out it's the first time i ever seen a long ass line of ppl at an arcade waiting to play a video game...
The remixed version of Fighting Street soundtrack is a masterpiece. It is really damn good.
I concur
I Agree..Which is why I prefer that over the arcade version as "Street Fighter"

Tiertex also made another horrible forgotten sequel: Strider Returns. When Strider properly returned it was tittled Strider 2.
Man, they should refine Street Fighter 88 up to Street Fighter 2 level to make it easier to play. Those controls back in 1988 were terrible

LOL... too funny... I really want to play this game. Surely Capcom can has the money to buy this company out and add these gems to the roster

Probably because it is only on home computers. The big market is the United States and they were a very Nintendocentric country in the 80s.
@@TopHatGamingManChannel I know, it was weird. 🤷

I love at the beginning when he says in 1997 the original street fighter..... idk maybe it's his silly narrative accent
I caught that too 👍!

@@OberynTheRedViper Read the post you're replying to, it clearly stated they have been retconned into two separate characters.

Street Fighter 2010 looks like it was later renamed "Bionic Commando" and came out on the NES
jesus christ the protagonist looks like ryu if he had gone down a alternative dark path that even akuma didn't intend or even want him to tread

If SF 2 hadn't been so successful, my guess is that beat-em-ups like Final Fight would have continued to evolve and be popular for some more time.
Have you ever thought about doing a Street Fighter 2 video
👀
I've actually never made one on the original Arcade game. Sounds like a good idea!
Geku actually made it back in one of the last DLC's for SFV
Lmao! Oh shit no. I was wondering where the dog was, then he turned into the dog! How have I not heard of this masterpiece?
That's one trash game right there
@ :39 you state we'll be taking a trip back through time....but the clock is clearly still going forwards. What?
In the US Street Fighter II was out before Street Fighter 2010
I cannot believe that this existed once upon a time. Jeez. It's so silly.
Your heel persona is so strangely likable. I can't place why. Should do another character break video just to mess with people.
