I Tried $14 Cheapest Hotel around Universal Studios Japan

- This time, I spent a night at the cheapest hotel which is near Universal Studios Japan, "ROTA HOSTEL". The accomadation fee of the Double Room is only 1,655JPY/14.3USD for one person! In this video, I stayed at the Single Room which costed 2,660JPY/23.1USD. It's located only 3 minutes away from Osaka Station and 7 minutes from Universal City Station. Just relax, sit back, and enjoy the video!

This is one of my favorite cheap hotels that I've ever seen; small, compact, not too busy, casual! This is the atmosphere I would feel the MOST comfortable in!!

It was a very impressive hotel. A spacious and comfortable hotel is nice, but this kind of hotel is also a great memory.

The can makes foam itself inside, which is really amazing. It's like drinking beer in a glass. Try it if you have a chance in Japan😃
I liked the location but there were no elevators up to the third floor. When you came down the steps to come out I didn't see hand rails in the steps on the third floor. As a person with mobility issues that would be a problem for me. As to the shared room, do you think that you would have been able to hear the other person in the room? It was opened at the top. But the central living space as well as the outdoor patio space and communal sanitary rooms looked very nice, clean and homey. Lots of great restaurants nearby and quick transport to USJ made it a perfect low cost location.

Yes, the building the hotel is in didn't have a lot of universal designs which I cared about during the stay. No elevators and hand rails in the stairs😫
As to the shared room, the top was opened between the sub-rooms. But, the other room next to me was unavailable so the entire room was all mine. Maybe, because of off season? When it gets busy, they may use the
other room too.
Overall, the locations was so good and the fee is extremely affordable if you don't mind staying low-cost
You should see our ticket prices here in Florida. For all the parks! It's disgusting really.

10:10 I think USJ has an advantage over Disneyland with their anime collab events. When I was there in 2019, it was Evangelion x Godzilla.
It seems like you were the only person in the hostel. Did you edit it to not show other people in the hostel?
Yes, you have a point! USJ has a lot more potentials than Disneyland in the sense that they can have tremendous collabs with anime titleg, not limiting their theme only to universal films. Moreover, they now have Nintendo World and, a few years later, they are making a Pokemon ride attraction!
Oh, speaking of what you asked, there were only 3 guests including me on that day haha. Maybe because of the pandemic? I don't know. But, I bet it will get more guests when everything goes back to normal again
Wondering what happens if someone dare to break the rules? What about alarm clocks going off or children running? What if Uncle Joe has had a little too much saki and comes home talking loudly and even singing only to pull out his phone and call Aunt Mary and tell her exactly what he thinks of her after divorcing him after 25 years and taking all his money (sort of) to go off with her tennis coach and is doing so while in the sleeping area? What happens if he steals someones food from the fridge in the middle of the night because he's hungry? What happens next? Can I call the front desk from my pod where I saw no one and complain? Will he be gagged and sent to jail? Deported? Sent to the US Embassy?

Hi there ! Thank you for making this video ! I wonder if the hostel has enough space for a large suitcase in the room ? The single room seemed rather cramped so I doubt there is much space to fit a larger luggage

The hotel offers twin rooms or double rooms other than the single room I used in the video. So, if you are a couple, I recommend you should either one!

ホステル、カプセルホテルは泊まっている客も影響しますよね。
今回のホステル、宿泊客が自分一人だと良いですが、隣のベッドにイビキが酷い人が泊まっていたりすると、眠れないですし。

Your title is clickbait, it's a hostel which is a entirely different accommodation than a hotel, it's commonly used by college travelers, security of belongings is risky.
I've seen videos of big beds in rooms with no ducking or stairs, please review those, people like I, would appreciate it. And show western food, I'm not fond of typical Japanese diets.

In Japan, there is not a big difference between hotel and hostel. Sometimes, we see them as the same. But, it depends on the case and location.
Most of my videos are on a budget so, I might start making normal "hotel" videos at some point!
@@travelgeekphotography If I ever come, it will need to be o on a strict budget, I've been on a fixed income coming onto 3 decades soon. It looks like some simple meals I'd expect to be cheaper, but I'm finding out different. I am a big fan of subways and trains, it would be nice to see what pointers you could give your countries future guests.
