Thanks for sharing your experience with us My family is planning a trip to Zion , Bryce, Glacier and other points of interest summer of 2024 You’ve been very helpful
Wonderful video! Will be there for the first time in early June. Staying at Many Glacier lodge for three days and then camping for three days at Sprague Creek. We were looking for trail ideas in those areas. Love your articulate descriptions and the options for hiking add-ons.
thanks for all of this incredible info! Just wondering if we could take the boat tour to Grinnell Lake and pick up the Grinnell glacier trail there to cut off some of the mileage? Thanks again!!
@@DirtInMyShoes thanks again!!! Heading to Glacier 8/5-8/11. Staying in a cabin in Coram first, and then looking to stay on East side for the last few days. Then off to Yellowstone and Tetons!! Really appreciate your super informative videos!!
Great Summary with pics !! Question - We are there for 4 nights , how do we distribute stay between West & East. Going to be in GNP from 14-Sept to 18-Sept ( Got flight to catch on 3 pm from Spokane)
It depends on what you are hoping to do while you are there. I have a Glacier Itinerary on dirtinmyshoes.com that maps out what I personally recommend as far as how to split up your lodging if you're hoping to get to all of the can't-miss activities.
I went to GNP for the first time in September but missed out on exploring the Two Medicine area. I'm curious to know if you have any trail recommendations in Two Medicine. I'm hoping to go back in 2024. Loved your video!
I have an article about the best wheelchair-friendly areas in the park at dirtinmyshoes.com. You'll find the info you need in the Best Easy Hikes article for Glacier. Enjoy!
Hi, It seems if I stay on the west side of the park I would have more drive time to some of the better trails. But it seems there is not much lodging options on the east side. Any ideas? I will be going in mid September. Great job on your videos!
If I book a boat tour to get to Grinnell Lake, do I have to book two tickets for round trip? On my way back to the car, do I have to book the one that said one way return trip?
@@DirtInMyShoes Where/how do you book the Grinnell Lake Boat Tour? I found it via the Article on the Top 10...but the Boat Tours don't start until after we are there in early-June.
@@brianhicks3825 Activities/roads in Glacier don't usually open until mid-late June, so you might just be too early for that particular boat tour. The Two Medicine tour often runs a little earlier in the season, so you might check that one instead!
Great job on your video, I love it thank you for the information 😀
You're welcome!
Absolutely love, love Glacier National Park! It’s my fav so far.
It's hard to beat those mountains!
Great video!!! ❤❤❤
Glad you liked it!
You have reminded me of fond memories, 25 years ago on a family trip. Thank-you.
Of course!
Great list. We are going this come summer. We can't wait. I may come back with questions when we get closer. Thanks so much. Lynn and Danny 😊
You're welcome!
I’m planning my trip and this was so helpful thank you!

Thanks!
Very helpful video - subscribing! Do you mind sharing what gear you use for your vids - lighting and clarity is very nice - good job!
Thank you! I just use regular box lights and a Sony A6600.
Ash, I want to book reservations for the Many Glacier Boat tour for July 18, 2025. What is the earliest date I can book?
@@pennycarey2280 you'll want to call them and ask. It varies.
Going for the first time June 25 - July 3. Hope the GTTSR will be open!
Crossing my fingers for you!

Yeah! A lot of people take the boat to cut off mileage from the Grinnell Glacier trail!

I love the trail to Upper Two Medicine Lake. You can take the boat tour and then hike up there -- it is absolutely spectacular!
@@DirtInMyShoes Do you need to get advanced reservations for the boat tours, or just buy it when we get there? Thanks!
@@DianaLynn45 I would definitely try to get boat tour reservations ASAP
@@DirtInMyShoes Thank you!
How far do you have to hike to where there were pink flowers on the highline trail on your video?
We usually start seeing flowers almost immediately, but it usually gets really good about 2 miles in or so!
What about someone in a power wheelchair planning on a three day visit to the park. Any suggestions are appreciated.......Thank you!!

No, the boat tickets you purchase online are roundtrip :)

What is the best month to visit Glacier national park?
You'll find a full breakdown of what to expect month-by-month here: www.dirtinmyshoes.com/the-best-time-to-visit-glacier-national-park/
there is only 2 things to do there that matter. they are 1- go outside 2- stay outside
Haha a solid plan for any national park :)
