This is great, thanks so much. In Ghana I only see green capsicum. Red ones are rare and expensive. I would like to grow these. I don't have a farm as yet though. How much land do I need? What is the smallest space I could use to start growing? Could this work in a backyard? Thank you!!
You do not need a lot of land. The smallest space to start with is a 4M x 3M x 3M (LxWxH). The project can work in a backyard. Please request for more details via grandeurafrica@gmail.com
This is very informative. Are you available for consultation with someone living out of Kenya? I'm really interested in growing Capsicum n Tomatoes by hydroponic means
@@GrAnDeUrAfRiCa_Hydroponics Okay, I'll exactly do it. I've been sharing in a group of people who embrace farming and would like to venture in. I'm a teacher, is it possible to give my channel a little support as well please?
Excellent job trying to get the best value from your setup. In Australia tomatoes are about 500 kenyan shillings and capsicum about 700 a kg. I suppose it has to do with wage rates and input costs though. Its a shame the contract farmers there have such a tough time for all their hard work.
With the decreasing arable land, It is a sure fact Africa is headed the same direction as Australia on the cost of food. The journey is however promising since most farmers are beginning to work smarter
Thanks for sharing this informative and educating video. I have two questions please. 1. What's the spacing between plants and rows 2. I live in Nigeria and want to be part of your next online training

Sure, the nutrient water returns into a tank and is later pumped direct to the beds or to an overhead tank which then releases nutrient water to the beds via gravity
The running of a hydroponic system is very cheap than traditional farming. The set up of a hydroponic system can be more affordable or expensive than traditional farming depending on the crop and the scale targeted.
Whether to use a screenhouse or a greenhouse depends on the climate. The concept is use of a controlled environment to avoid pests, possible dilution of nutrients by rain and disease control.
