The crunch when walking in the snow gives it away, it’s frosty out there.

Looks good, Aaron! Congratulations on your new baby! Love that you can basically set up the entire camp with one hand. Over the years, we have gone from two of us working for 1 hour to setup/breakdown with tent camping, to 30 minutes with our homebuilt trailer with RTT, to what looks like 10 minutes or less solo in the Arkto. We are going to be so spoiled!

Hey Robert! Thanks! After leveling the trailer, setup with one hand: 5 minutes. :) I'm excited for you two!

Looking good Aaron, I’m seeing the new mudflaps and the red arc upgrade, can’t wait to order mine with all these new additions. So happy you continually refine your product

Good eye! Yep, a couple revisions/updates on the trailer. We'll do a 2024 overview video shortly. I'll mention all these items then.

Thanks for the vid Aaron. Glad you have one to play with now. The outdoor kitchen is deluxe for sure. Kinda wish there was an interior cooking option for soggy non bluebird days - like most of the winter days here in the pacific NW. I know the awning is an option. But deploying an awning in the rain and packing up a wet awning isn’t a great option. Maybe you’ll make a second model designed for more fowl weather. Winter camping makes the pack nw winters much more enjoyable. Anyway, I do believe your set up is one of the best currently on the market. Great design! Keep going! 😊

Hey Matt. Thanks for the comment. It's my 3rd unit actually! haha. Yeah, certainly some 'give and take' in designing this unit. And we opted to focus on storage and outdoor living, versus the indoor kitchen thing. As of today, unfortunately, we don't have plans for a new model. Thanks for the compliments! Take care Matt.

This is the best "real world" let's go camping video I've seen from a camper vendor! Loved how you walked through all of the little details on how to go about setting up camp, and you made it all look so easy using just one hand! Awesome job making a camper designed for 4-season camping. Do you think the water tank heater is necessary in fall and spring when night time temps might dip below freezing? How do the 200 ah lithium batteries handle the winter camping electrical demand, how many days can you go with the 400 watt on the roof? If you head out again in the winter I'd love to see the awning wall plus propane fire pit setup you use.

I forgot to ask, did the refrigerator keep your food from freezing? Thanks!

      Hey! Appreciate the comment. Thanks.
Heated tank: Depends how aggressively the temps drop below freezing. But the pick up line that runs straight up to the water pump could freeze pretty easily, since it has such a small volume of water to freeze in the pex pipe.
Batteries: just depends how many amps your using up. They function the same, but of course, the demand for power is higher in the colder weather. Especially with the heated water tank running 24/7. The lithiums are heated, so you can get away with charging them below freezing. This also all plays into the solar on the roof. In the case of that one trip, I had minimal sun exposure, and the solar would most definitely not recharged me fully from that amount of power useage.
Yeah, I'll definitely have to do another video with the walls. Standby!

@@jbud1977 I wasn't out long enough to notice. Since the fridge technically sits on the interior of the trailer and I had the furnace running, I'm guessing the food had a hard time freezing.

I love this camper. It looks solidly built so will hold up to actual use and won't have to be replaced in a few years. Are more windows an option? I enjoy natural light and lots of breeze to maintain the connection with the outdoors while camping. Even in inclement weather, windows offer a connection with the outdoors.

Thanks! Unfortunately, no. There are 3 windows in the trailer currently. 2 in the pop top roof canvas, and 1 on the sidewall. Plus the window on the entry door. Plenty of light for a small space like this. The windows on the canvas zip open, so airflow is not an issue at all. Feel free to reach out to us with any other questions.

I got the same exact SUV and was wondering how it handle this weight. It is a 3,600 pounds camper (dry weight) and everyone is saying that my Atllas Cross Sport can not handle it it. Please reply with your experience with it

Been fine so far! Naturally, you take a hit on fuel efficiency, but it's been doing fine so far!
