Hi, really good video. But there's a small piece of information you missed while talking about the Chennai Suburban system. The Chennai Suburban Railway system also covers local services on the direct route between Arakkonam and Chengalpattu via the city of Kanchipuram to the South-West of the Greater Chennai metropolitan area. With this included, the Chennai suburban system is the only system in the country to actually operate circular trains that run in either directions from Chennai Beach to Chennai Beach via Tambaram-Chengalpattu-Kanchipuram-Tirumalpur-Arakkonam. This circular route is over the 200km and is the longest suburban commuter rail route in the country. Another fascinating thing is that with trains upto Sullurpeta (in Andhra Pradesh), Chennai Suburban network is the only one in the country to run local trains across two states in a single route.
@@nikkzm3689 That’s a MEMU service not a suburban service. There’s no suburban railway in Bengaluru as of now. They only operate MEMUs which run till nearby populated cities and towns like Mysuru, Tumakuru, Hosapet, Kolar, Bangarpet, etc.
@@Vicky-ne9mt Yes, they’re building a suburban network. The primary difference between suburban rail and a MEMU commuter rail is that suburban trains have dedicated tracks along most of its routes whereas a MEMU shares tracks with intercity trains (that’s why it’s called MEMU - mainline EMU). Bengaluru is building dedicated tracks first and only then it will be able to procure rolling stock and start the suburban services. It’s still a project that is at least 1-2 years away from starting.
@@saianand.n Well that's not the way to differentiate between MEMU and EMU. Because Atipattu - Sullurpeta line of Chennai suburban railway runs merged with the main track. A lot of interesting features, can't wait ❤❤❤
i live in chennai phase 1 metro is on inside main city coverage only. it didnt connect suburban areas. second thing is local suburban trains are very cheap, initial chennai metro runs at high tarrif gets poor patronage and so many high infrastructure like station size concourse level, platfrom screen doors, lifts, escalators are so much on less patronage stations leads high operating cost with less income. they delayed project and not well study on construction makes almost tripled construction cost. dpr submit says estimation of 9000 cr rupees. on starting stage it shoots up to 14000 cr rupees, on final finishing it goes upto 22000 cr rupees for only 55km lenght of network. in 2023 patronage pickup but not enough parking facility is big headache. on phase 2 metro it totally opposite. 3 and 6 car automated trains sets with third rail for power, so existing metro network is useless on route sharing on same track it leads separate station construction on alandur, and some other connectivity stations. tamilnadu govt also very poor on infrastructure development. chennai cmda build new cmbt bus terminus in kilambakkam area its almost finishing stage but no metro or local suburman network is there. from thiruvanmiyur to sholinganallur national highways and state highways are messed up with double Decker road bride with metro line. lastly they cancel it only build metro line. in future expansion of roads is zero possibility and bridge construction also not possible. another big headache is chennai population goes above 1.1 crore but in mtc have only 3500 buses, day by day ritered drivers increse leads increasing not operating buses parked on shed. currently 2500 mtc buses only running. this leads public use on their private vehicle makes big mess on every roads traffic. hope after finished of metro phase 2 mtc should increase bus capacity to reduce private vehicles on road otherwise chennai become another bangalore like snail dead slow traffic movement.
Chennai metro phase 2 will use third rail? Did you even look at the DPR? Just that bit of misinformation alone negates your entire rant here. CMRL has been planning to run Phase 2 trains in Phase 1 tracks as well. That's why they are choosing blue colour for the new rolling stock as well. Your comment reeks of hate dude
Good presentation. One more info for you. In phase 2 the Alandur-Sr Thomas mount section of green line will be converted in to red line section. Green line will terminate at Alandur. This is a first
I don't think Alundur should make a seperate floor. Use both St Thomas and Alundur station as cross platform interchange stations for red line. It would be great for India too. Set an example also
chennai needs a massive upgradation of its S-Local networks....New S-lines eg. Avadi-Maraimalainagar...further development of new S-lines on the North western part of city is required....More over we need all public transport system of chennai to be Air conditionised.

best train connections (local) across India will be chennai city - it has 7 different lines in operational as of now (metro and conventional ) from British period these tracks are operating
What you said about alandur station is correct, it is under the extension but the station is not going to be expanded by adding another floor. Instead, another metro station is getting constructed beside the alandur station and the station will be connected in that way. The reason for poonamallee will the last stop of orange line (As of now) is due to that, the AAI is planning to construct the 2nd Airport for Chennai in Parandhur. And if the project is sanctioned for the airport construction, the orange line will be extended till Parandhur airport and the expansion will be continued from poonamallee metro station. So that, it'd easy for the passengers to get connected to the airport in Parandhur as well as in meenambakkam. Both the airports will be connected by metro. That's the unique point of orange line. Hope this helps you.
Tirupati perfect for Mono. Metro only suits for Huge cities like Chennai, Blr, Hyd. Meanwhile Mono with proper planning connecting railway station, airport, important lodges and the abode itself maybe a huge help to Tirupati.
Why everybody is talking about connecting it parks? Chennai effectively connects all the major state owned hospitals through metro Central - RGGGH washermanpet - stanley Kilpauk - KMC hospital Govt. First 4 correct, but existing thousand lights station is quite far from Royapettah GH. Though upcoming Royapettah metro station is right opposite the hospital. And people talk about IT parks more because people go there daily, rather than hospitals, and IT workers are more than medicos.

i live in chennai phase 1 metro is on inside main city coverage only. it didnt connect suburban areas. second thing is local suburban trains are very cheap, initial chennai metro runs at high tarrif gets poor patronage and so many high infrastructure like station size concourse level, platfrom screen doors, lifts, escalators are so much on less patronage stations leads high operating cost with less income. they delayed project and not well study on construction makes almost tripled construction cost. dpr submit says estimation of 9000 cr rupees. on starting stage it shoots up to 14000 cr rupees, on final finishing it goes upto 22000 cr rupees for only 55km lenght of network. in 2023 patronage pickup but not enough parking facility is big headache. on phase 2 metro it totally opposite.
There is also plan to extent up to Avadi via thirumangalam and Ambathur another line from poonamalli to upcoming new Airport at Paranthur
Your videos are simply stunning. Keep up the good work
Like from tamil nadu 🎉
Super vedio brooooo 😊
Chennai metro, MRTS, MTC should plan for many multi modal hubs, so people can use interchange easily with single payment system.
Great video.. looks like Chennai mwtro will soon have vast network comparable to Delhi metro..
😂never just see delhi metro it is 400 plus km 12 lines operational , chennai is just a tiny village in front of delhi
@@guardiansofgalaxy664 What do you mean small village? Delhi developed because its the capital city of India. TN is the most urbanzied state in India.
@@guardiansofgalaxy664 400 kms? The sub urban railway network in Madras is more than 1200 km in length .Madras, Bombay, Calcutta are great grand fathers compared to any other city in India in rail infrastructure running trains for local transport for almost a century.
Make a video on hyderabad metro. 400+km metro line announced by the government
Hi,
An honest feedback. Your content is amazing and informative. No qualms. But the BG music is a bit too distracting and tacky. It’s kind of annoying and repetitive after a while
This looks great.
Bro, Convey This Information To CMRL

Nice to see a new video from you guys again!
Bhai plz make one video on pune metro. Btw quality content ❤
Thank you ji. I got information about my city
best train connections (local) across India will be chennai city - it has 7 different lines in operational as of now (metro and conventional ) from British period these tracks are operating
First ever metro to connect airport bus terminal beaches and depots. That too in single stretch
i have been waiting for this video for so long
Phase 2 corridor 4 is best line everrr. Already double decker station have started construction and it is double decker stretch with single pillar
Bro you are doing excellent work ,but also make expressway and infrastructure video on second channel(keep on driving)❤❤👍🙏🙏🎉
Im also one of this commuter from Thirumangalam to Wimco nagar depot metro.
Please make video on Kolkata metro Expansion
We need a metro system in Tirupati 🚩🕉🇮🇳 also
too small a city for metro
Why ?
@@pumpkin4189why not
@@Stellar_lnsights I mean Tirupati is not a big city like Chennai,Vizag or Hyderabad
Vizag , Vijaywada deserves Metro system more than Tirupati
Tirupati perfect for Mono. Metro only suits for Huge cities like Chennai, Blr, Hyd. Meanwhile Mono with proper planning connecting railway station, airport, important lodges and the abode itself maybe a huge help to Tirupati.
Why everybody is talking about connecting it parks? Chennai effectively connects all the major state owned hospitals through metro
Central - RGGGH
washermanpet - stanley
Kilpauk - KMC hospital
Govt. Estate - multispeciality hospital
Thousand lights - Royapettah GH
Being a medico, i found this to be an extreme advantage, since both healthcare workers and healthcare seekers could easily travel without inconvenience
First 4 correct, but existing thousand lights station is quite far from Royapettah GH. Though upcoming Royapettah metro station is right opposite the hospital.
And people talk about IT parks more because people go there daily, rather than hospitals, and IT workers are more than medicos.
You forgot to mention Kilambakkam and New Airport metro line projects
Make a detailed video on Agra metro Sir. Please Sir.
