WHAAAT??? I bought a fridge that had no place to put ice trays. I found this on RUclips. This is just plain AMAZING!! Neat, concise, no BS jabber. Thanks, so much!!!
Incredible space, money and time savings. You make any rushing out the door stress free...insuring good nutrition and calmness. I prepare fresh foods ahead of time but your space savings are a great idea for my son's small apt. You are so very clever and intelligent.
I noticed you made this video in 2014; it is a classic! You did a fantastic job sharing your tips & tricks. I don't have this style refrigerator (mine is a side-by-side) but learned many things I plan to try.
Except metal clips over time rust. Not particularly like rust near/falling into food, and those clips when cold are hard to open, especially for little people and seniors
I loved this video! So many helpful tips! I would very much be interested in viewing more home organizational videos especially tips on hair products including hair accessories, bathrooms, closets, pantries, papers, etc. Thanks
Thank you for this excellent video. I watched a pro-organizer vlogger right before yourself on top freezer org and she was completely impractical. Your video makes perfect sense, definitely for REAL working households. You're awesome!!
I usually just watch these videos and may give a thumbs up or down sometimes, but I had to subscribe AND tell you how much you have inspired me! And I am an old frugal woman doing things like this for years, but you showed me some new tricks! Bravo! You are amazingly organized and saving money right and left! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for helping solve our nightmare. We had picked up these plastic organizers and it allowed us to store and stack all the packages of vegetarian patties and burgers that do not stack up. Dollar store to the rescue! We have a tiny freezer, but it's manageable now! We cut up and freeze bananas that are too ripe to eat and they are excellent in smoothies - frozen bananas taste better and make the smoothie creamier.
Really great ideas. I especially like the idea of freezing yogurt into ice cubes. When I cook beans, I freeze them in silicone muffin pans, pop the beans from the silicone, and store the frozen beans in plastic bags in the freezer.
SHAINA, I just discovered you. This was excellent. Like me you cook. I have been a vegetarian for almost a year. I love the smoothie bags... Just brilliant! Thank you much for sharing. Tink
I love the way you store your fruits and veg's for the smoothies, I myself prepare them in bags but in the morning I have to pick and chose from to many bags, So great tip!!
Oh! How clever about the shoe boxes! I love that! I've taken several of your ideas and will implement them for myself. Thank you for sharing your video!
Great tips! I've been using the stackable baskets also for my meats and it has been a life saver! I did want to mention that if you're using the sandwich bags as opposed to the freezer bags switching to the freezer ones will cut down a lot on frostbite or any ice building up in the bags either around the fruits and vegetables or the meats. Also, I used that same DIY garbage disposal cleaner including the lemon slices until I found out that the peeps of the lemon can wreak havoc on the garbage disposal itself since they tend to be tough. I have since found one that you can use lemon juice with and ice to still be tough enough to clean out the disposal and still have the lemon scent. Since you already freeze the vinegar and water you already have your ice just add lemon juice and forgo the lemon slices... Thanks for the great video!
I especially love your idea for the smoothie packs. I already separate my meats like you do & yes! Making sure the meats are flat saves so much room in the freezer
I was actually looking for organization ideas for a stand-up freezer. Though I consider my freezer to already be fairly organized, I gleaned some fresh new ideas! Thank you!
I thought I was the fridge queen, LoLz! I do many of these things but stillll learned so much! I love the idea of hanging food on the wires! Ingenious!!! And I love that you freeze everything, even the vinegar! Great tips!
I'm so glad I watched this video...I literally end up throwing out onions and peppers if I don't get to use them in time and I have no idea why I didn't think to freeze them. Thanks!!
These are great tips! You have so many great ideas. Best Fridge & Freezer organizing tips I've seen. Really love the idea of freezing your used lemons for cleaning the disposal. That one is genius. Thanks for the video :)
PRICELESS tips! Wow, thank you. Your tips and ideas are brilliant! I love your philosophy and outlook on organization (easier morning, shortcuts.etc.). I'm actually looking forward to re-organizing my freezer! Will definitely be checking out your other videos. Thank you for your inspiration & motivation!
Thank you for your compliments! It truly made my day :-) I'm glad you found it helpful. If you ever have any suggestions for videos you want to see. Please let me know.
Super SMART! Great video! Thanks for taking the time to make this video and share all your awesome ideas! Saw that you are good about labeling your containers. That is SO important with kids when they are looking for something to eat but they will ignore leftovers because they don't know what's there. Excellent video! Thanks again!
Matthew567byheart No problem! I have to label everything because there may have been a time or two where confectioners sugar was mistaken for flour LOL
this is very good. i greatly appreciate the suggestion of prepping fruits and yogurts into small quantities and freezing. for years i have been repacking bulk meats for the freezer, but never thought of taking it a step further in the arena of smoothies. clever and thought out
You have discussed many great tips for freezer & refrigerator organization in this video. In the book "Organize Yourself!" by Ronnie Eisenberg, it is recommended that eggs be kept in their original carton. However, if the top of the carton is removed, there might be a possibility that the eggs will absorb bacteria or odors that may be in the refrigerator.
The paper clip idea-AWESOME. Switched from huge freezer chest to huge up-right, lots of dead space once shelf filled. Not anymore since your absolutely brilliant paperclip idea. Thank you. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks. :-)
Very good ideas! I already do "the onions". It is so much easier to grab a bag instead of cutting in the moment. I will follow your advise about the smoothie bag and the ice bin for coolers instead of filtered ice cubes. Thanks!
Hi Shaina, In the last 3 months I have seen everybody else's freezer organization videos on RUclips, and yours truly is the very best! I have since been to the Dollar Tree and bought some of those stacking bins that you have in your freezer. I noticed that you put something flat on top of the top been to give it one more level but I also found my own solution to that. Dollar Tree carries a small platter called a bacon rack. If you turn it upside down you can fit it onto those fold-out brackets on the bin!
Oh dear, Shaina, just came across your RUclips Vid, & you are so awesome & kind to take the time to share such valuable info; I am going to make my Hubby & myself super happy using your Fridge Organization tips - and, of course, I'm subscribing to your vids. I just love how you patiently & clearly add more & more super tips to share each time. God Bless You . . . :)
I have seen a lot of other videos some with awesome looking set ups that appeared as if it was staged for the front cover of a magazine, but they're just not practical. All they have in the fridge is water and yogurt. We could all have display fridges if that is all we bought. This video was very informative and practical. I buy in bulk, freeze and etc, as well. I love the waffle idea. I hate to waste and like to multi-purpose an item if I can, so I loved your video. Your freezer looks great! First time I've seen you and I am going to check out your channel now. Since I haven't seen your channel you may have this covered, but (if not) it would be great to do videos on how to freeze or store different foods. Thx
Very helpful!! I love the way you've organized your freezer. We have a freezer on top too and it's the only one we have at the moment, so trying to organize stuff has been a hassle. I appreciate the time you took to show everything and explain it! :-)
I've watched this video several times because I LOVE how you've organized your freezer...but...today is the first time I noticed that you shop at HEB!!! I miss my HEB so much when I'm away from home!!!
Some of the bags you are using looks like they MAY not be thick or strong enough to prevent freezer burn. Try doubling up on the thin-walled baggies. Or wrap in freezer paper (sealed with freezer tape.) Then write on it with black Sharpie markers to label everything. (Sometimes you even need to double up on Ziplock freezer bags, a bag inside of another bag!!)
Wonderful video! Thank you so much. Organized and CHEAP! Two of my favorite things. :) I'm going to try to use your ideas to help me organize a newly acquired deep freezer.
you, young lady are brilliant and inspiring! I can't wait to get started organizing my freezer. Thank you for sharing. :-) . . . . now i need some serious help organizing our chest type deep freezer - ugh i HATE going in there for anything!
Great Video, but would like to see more about how you arranged stuff in the freezer. Just caught glimpses, would like to see more of the whole picture. Thanks.
Love this video! You have inspired me to do something about this freezer. Tried the smoothie and yogurt in cubes just awesome. Made burritos ahead and froze them according to serving packages. Quick food on the go. Will try waffles too!
Thanks! I have similar videos for the rest of the house as well under the "Storage/Organization" section on my page. I suggest checking those out as well :-)
Love your ideas girl! So thrifty and ingenious. Love the binder clip idea. That would be good for defrosting meats too leave a tray underneath n bam. ;) thanks for sharing!
rbene01 Thanks! I have a specially marked food storage container (that came from dollar tree, of course lol) that I solely use for marinating and/or defrosting meats. Makes life and the clean up so much easier. Thanks for watching :-)
Omg lost you...lol watched this the other day..finally got around to cleaning out freezer I'm so glad I took your advise thank you so much...I'm a subscriber now.....
I am heading to the dollar tree this week, I cant wait. Thank you for the inspiration. I was watching the portion on your veggies that you freeze. I was wondering if you have heard of Sofrito? Its a natural seasoning paste we Dominicans make. Maybe you will like it too. Its just onions, sweet peppers, garlic and cilantro that you chop and throw into a blender with olive oil. Its so nice because it makes whatever dish you make pop. We use it for what we call Moro (rice and peas- arroz con pollo) and also other meat dishes. Here is a video on Sofrito...maybe you like it. How to make authentic sofrito ok sis thank you very much for this lovely video. I love to see how other women keep their home, gives me motivation. :-)

Great ideas! Using a wood board to freeze bags flat is an excellent idea. Thank you for sharing the tip.
Your binder clip tip for bags of left overs is a GREAT idea! Thanks for all your tips.
Except metal clips over time rust. Not particularly like rust near/falling into food, and those clips when cold are hard to open, especially for little people and seniors

You're so smart! I'm over here kicking myself for not thinking of these awesome ideas. You've definitely inspired me.
Thank you for this excellent video. I watched a pro-organizer vlogger right before yourself on top freezer org and she was completely impractical. Your video makes perfect sense, definitely for REAL working households. You're awesome!!
I love your creativity and ingenuity for making every day life easier! I'm definitely making yogurt cubes for smoothies! Genius!

Hi, this is my favorite freezer organization video on RUclips. I watched many of them but kept coming back to yours. Awesome job
Thanks! I'm glad it helped.
Same. It’s i expensive, practical, and doesn’t block the freezer vents which ruins the fridge.
I love the way you store your fruits and veg's for the smoothies, I myself prepare them in bags but in the morning I have to pick and chose from to many bags, So great tip!!

Bianca Cruz Great info. Thanks for sharing
The tip about the lemon is correct you should not use lemons in the garbage disposal.
I believe you meant to type "peels" of the lemon, not "peeps?"
I especially love your idea for the smoothie packs. I already separate my meats like you do & yes! Making sure the meats are flat saves so much room in the freezer
Pack individually. Why didn't I ever think of that? That's brilliant! Thanks for sharing.
I was actually looking for organization ideas for a stand-up freezer. Though I consider my freezer to already be fairly organized, I gleaned some fresh new ideas! Thank you!
