Bob's Country Bunker is a great bar. Almost as good as the movie. This is one of my favorites. Love the attention to detail on the slide! I would pay a bit more for that. Spare parts is a great idea. Talking over or during the videos is your call. Please don't lose the humor or the side tangents. Those are part of what make the videos great. Love the videos. Keep them coming and I'll keep watching.
I would just like to comment on Coachmans customer service for anyone who is considering purchasing one. I had an issue with my Northern Spirit with the slide out flooring curling up and not laying flat. Coachman admitted they had an issue and immediately sent out a replacement and corrected the issue. I have been pleasantly surprised with Coachmans service and quality. Thanks for taking the time to show these units.
For the kitchen footage; the previous way is fine Josh. I've noticed you'll call out anything important. So I'm good with the format that involves LESS work for you. The part of these reviews that are critical for me are the toilet seat selfie and show size details and the hook up side details. I also like when you call out important details about the construction. (stick and tin vs aluminum cage, second AC capable, outside storage features, etc)
it's kinda the same work just one takes more/less time. This method takes more recording time and lengthens the video but simplifies editing and ensure better accuracy
😂 I’m so glad you brought this up because I’ve been contemplating on leaving this comment but yes I would like if you live talk over what your talking about without panning away because there are so many times your still explaining something but panning around something making a little confusing and I don’t mind the long video. Thank Josh keep up the great work
Thanks Nerd! Thanks Coachman! I have no preference on the talking over the video or talking in the video when opening up all of the storage, whatever works better for you, works great!! Love the newer entry door railing. Love the large cargo capacity. That added outside foldable table is a wonderful addition and the added trim etc in the Coachman Care package is the bomb! Nice to wrap the graphics around the slide.
Ha! A few videos ago I noticed what you were saying didn't match the footage. I'll just say: "I wasn't mad at it." 😁 It was just an observation. You talking WITH the footage is perfectly fine. I don't mind the lengths of your videos, at all. Sometimes I'm like, "Aww, it's over. 🙁" This front kitchen hits a lot of marks for me! Two seating areas, one with potential hide-a-bed, for the tag-along-sister. A nice BIG bed in the bedroom for e and my daughter. A REAL CAMP KITCHEN and a place to put the BLENDER! Lots of exterior storage. This is definitely a good one. Does the interior give me the initial "Ohhhh.loooook...pretty..." ? No, but it's nice enough. It's definitely got all the function I'm looking/shopping for. The exterior is where this one hits the aesthetic marks...light color, nice graphics and exterior storage galorage. I'd love to step into one, to feel for myself. Thanks Josh!
This is my #1 floorplan and manufacturer. It has everything I want, and I can't really find any faults with it. Everything just makes sense on how I would like it. Just gotta pull the trigger and purchase it
I have this rv because of the review you gave it in 2021. We love it.. Great trailer! you can leave the bathroom door open and get in to use it OR just bump the slide out a few inches and squeeze in. Ours is a 50 amp/2 a/c and does a great job in the Texas heat. The 3 door closet works great for our hanging cloths and the drawers and the closet by the bed handle everything else. Our longest outing has been 20 days to Yellowstone and back. I started off pulling it with a 1/2 F150 and didn't like it. I now have a F250 7.3 Gas truck and it handles it fine! Highly recommend this trailer! We are looking to move up to a 5th wheel as retirement is around the corner and that means more/longer travel time. Keep up the great reviews-I am watching and learning about 5th wheels!!
I like it live even if its longer. I don't mind the videos long. I know when I found a trailer I liked, I would rerun the video a few times and that's what those longer detailed videos really work their magic. I would store camp chairs vertically in that rear outside compartment.
Do the live talking.... I would get annoyed when things weren't sync'd up. Appreciate you showing all these RVs to get my wish list a couple years down the road when I replace my current one.
Me, when I see the open space in the bedroom wall, "Hey look, an actual entertainment center!" The wife, a moment later when we see Uncle Josh IN the open space in the bedroom wall, "...and I guess he's our entertainment." Yes, it's very helpful for you to be talking about what's actually on the screen than needing to rewind to check out what you're talking about or to catch a detail we missed. Also, the ability to remove the shelves in the bedroom closet would be great. Uncle Josh is right as usual. The bar was called "Bob's Country Bunker" if memory serves and another piece of trivia about that movie was the car chase scene that ended with a bridge was actually filmed in Milwaukee rather than Chicago. Thanks for the tour, Uncle Josh!
Josh After watching the video, I came up with a question for you! Does any brand make a gray tank with a pump that would pump your grey tank into your black tank when you’re emptying? and if not, why? it seems like it would be a good way to clean out the system but minimize using good freshwater.
It would actually be a violation in plumbing code and illegal in some states if I understand correctly. There is the risk of user error and mixing waste types and also a risk of black tank bacteria working their way back up gray lines. If a vent failure or valve failure were to occur, you would have black gases coming up the sinks and into the main RV. Also most BLM lands require a separate gray tank for dumping and trickling water. I don't think it's a bad idea entirely but would require some clever engineering to do it safely and legally.
One of my favourite floorplans, radius shower notwithstanding. I just love a front kitchen with a windshield! It just seems the windshield is almost wasted on a bedroom. Question for the Nerd! When you do the standard calculations for loaded hitch weight, would that weight go up more/faster in a front kitchen, seeing that the things you load there tend to be heavier than what you'd load into a bedroom? #Nerdherd! 🇨🇦
I’m torn. You already spend so much time on these videos as is and share a wealth of info that could’ve passed right on over our heads without you bringing it into the light and I’m appreciative of you. I’m not mad if you keep doing you exactly as you now do. That said, I remember a few videos where I felt discombobulated as I heard info from you regarding something that wasn’t on the screen. My particular memories involve a couple of your Brinkley videos and I just now recognized that. But, hello, there are little diamonds everywhere in a Brinkley and they come at you from every direction. I just toggle back or forward to get your video in line with your words and it works. Do I mind it? Nope, but I’m aware of it. That being said, I’m just fine either way. Keep it easier for yourself for a change! Thank you, Josh, for giving a damn. Not everyone does.
1) Nerdism’s #37: Sopa, Grapely, & Cornformitive. 😂 2) When I asked Siri, she had said accordingly to Wikipedia, the country bar that the Blues Brothers performed in was Bob’s Country Bunker in Kokomo, IN. 3) Either the on the video coverage is fine with me. I don’t mind the longer detailed video coverage. 4) Touch up items are an excellent idea. Thank you Coachman. 5) Stephen Steelbag? Haha 6) Would’ve been nice to see the awning all the way to rear. 7) what I do with the huge space? I think that I might move the spare tire 🛞 to that location as well as put tools or whatever in there. It would make easier access to the tire plus it should lighten up the hitch weight a little.
I'm one that prefers the freezer drawer set up myself being tall it's easier to look in the fridge if it's higher and the freezer is used much less than the fridge
As a 6'8" 350# big guy, this checks many boxes for me, especially with the table & chairs option. Big guys don't usually fit in dinettes, just sayin'. The only negative I see is the radius shower. If I'm in an RV park I can use the park showers. If I'm boondocking, an outside shower would need to be added.
Love the new interior! It's a lot better than the back interior from the past. Love the living space. Nice kitchen. Wish it had a Xl vet fan in the bathroom. The back bedroom is good. Like it. Do they make a 2 bedroom floor plan?
We have the 2021 model we love it. The gray water outlets under the big slide I do not like. But I made a long pull stick to open and close the outlet. I keep it in the pass through compartment. I hope they improved the winterizing location to some other location that a bare to use. Is there not a radio in the new ones?
The kitchen feels like a tight fit, with a lack of counter space. I like that the front cap has a window. There's not a lot of storage it seems, although the storage/pantry is good. Hide a bed by choice here. I'm happy with the presentation as it is Josh. There's no privacy shade in the door, I think that should be standard. At least the toilet is porcelain and not plastic. Hate the shower though, and the 4" fan. I think I'd go with the queen, even though I like the king, I think it would feel more of a proper fit, as right now the side shelves look awkward and when you put pillows in, they'll be overlapping. Road mode is an issue, I could cope with the living/kitchen/bedroom being blocked, but I'd want the bathroom accessible. Even with the fab outdoor kitchen, it's a no. #nerdherd #rvnerdherd
Josh- it makes more sense to me when you show the kitchen cabinets while you talk about the kitchen. By the way, can you please clarify something? You said it had plywood flooring for soft spots?? 😵💫 I'm confused.
I don't mind the manufacture's providing touch up paint, trim, and the like. A pamphlet on expected maintenance would be useful, include type of sealants to use, bearing/wheel maintenance, and winterizing steps. It varies from brand to brand and I don't like the uncertainty in figuring out if I have silicon lap sealant or something else. Plus knowing the manufacture recommended way to grease axles and winterize would be helpful. My dealer has there own ways of doing things, but does it fit my specific make and model?
SO close to being perfect except for that shower, why both with it if that is the size it is. The black tank only outlet, so how do you flush that portion of the sewer hose to clean it out?
Hey Josh, hope your day and evening are going fine. OK so I do like this RV but it does have some things that I’m not crazy about lol imagine that.😂. The actual kitchen and counter space kind of sucks. The cabinets to the left of the sink I would probably take out and extend the prep space. And I’m not crazy about having the stove right there next to the fridge. It feels like it would be a very tight to do any cooking at all. Not to mention just like you said they need to put a backsplash in all those RVs. It’s ridiculousnot to put something in there to keep from ruining your RV with grease etc.. I do like the bathroom. It seems that there is plenty of room. And the cabinet space does make a difference. Lol and one dislike of the bathroom are those small fans. You would think that they would’ve gotten a clue by now with all of us that write in about it lol. Not crazy about the bedroom. And right below the TV and around it on the walls is simply plain, absolutely no colors involved. So I would suggest that they put something down there even if it’s just a piece of plexi or possibly a wood veneer to cover up the absence of color. But I do love all the drawers and hanging space. That’s freaking awesome. And less, but at least I do love the big window in the cap. Other than that, definitely a nice little camper. Again not my cup of tea, but we’re working on it lol. Keep Rockin Josh 🎉😊
Josh, PLEASE can you review another Coachmen trailer with a new floor plan…the Apex Ultra lite 241BHS. Only a couple others like it but not with a dinette.
I hook the front hose up after we level and before the wife pushes the front slide out. IF I need to dump it, I either pull the slide in or just get under the slide and dump. neither has been an issue
I think I'm team chairs and table. Our dinette does not sit even our three kids comfortably, but to be fair that might be because we're 7.5 #noslide so...
Why don't travel trailers offer convection/air fryer microwaves and get rid of the oven? And I rather have an inverter solar package instead of outdoor kitchen. And either free standing table and chairs or the Franken table (1 bench, 2 chairs, free standing table)
A lot of builders do but it's not the preference for a LOT of people -- boondockers get nearly no use from electric ovens for instance. So it varies by brand and their target audience
Not sold on giving up space and storage for an outside kitchen I wouldn't use much. Why do these manufacturers insist on making things not user friendly, ie fuse box, Grey water discharge, hook it into one discharge connection with black water, 2 valves. 😢😢😢😢
I like this layout a lot but wish there were bunks in the front where the kitchen is. I'm sure that's easier said than done. Another great video Uncle Josh.
The tiny elbow banging shower is a little disappointing🫤but I love that you can “option” out the outdated diner booth dinette for a far more flexible table and chairs💥💥💥but, that inaccessible 2 headed sewer monster is pretty much a dealbreaker😩
Bob's Country Bunker is a great bar. Almost as good as the movie. This is one of my favorites. Love the attention to detail on the slide! I would pay a bit more for that. Spare parts is a great idea. awesome. that helps
woof, gray hook up under the slide... game over.
Totally fair. That's why I point it out
A real KITCHEN outdoors!!! Lots of good things to this unit!
Yeah it feels like this is one of the last ones standing
Great storage everywhere! Riding solo it’s a bit big for me but wow some lucky campers are gonna be very happy with this one.
TY travis! Take care

Josh, you continue being you. If you change your format I'll probably get confused...😂
Good to know :)
I like what Coachmen is doing! Really great Floorplan! Thank you Josh!
Thanks for showing the "Herd" something a little different. Great walkthrough Uncle Josh 👍

I prefer the voice over rather than the live commentary personally

Man I try. It's exhausting but I always tell myself "what if I was wanting to buy an RV.. wouldn't I want to know all that?"
I like the longer version with the live explanations of what you’re showing at the moment. PS all time greatest nerdism “ProPanus” 😂
I'll keep it up!

Think there was an outside shower between the slides, by the utility hookups, clip a tarp between the slides for privacy and you're good to go.
Outside shower between the slides btw
Not crazy about the black water connection being alone. If you use two hoses and a Y connector, you can't really rinse out that portion of the hose
Love the new interior! It's a lot better than the back interior from the past. Love the living space. Nice kitchen. Wish it had a Xl vet fan in the bathroom. The back bedroom is good. Like it. Do they make a 2 bedroom floor plan?
they make bunk models but I don't think they have a true 2 bedroom model
Thanks Nerd
You bet

They did away with the radio, but there is a Bluetooth speaker on the ceiling
Lot of RVs did away with radios and went to just bluetooth links

good video Josh
Hi Josh, I hope you're doing well. Could you do a video on rvs you'd recommend for boondocking or full-time travel. Thank you! 💛
Do we need the dinette
Josh- it makes more sense to me when you show the kitchen cabinets while you talk about the kitchen. By the way, can you please clarify something? You said it had plywood flooring for soft spots?? 😵💫 I'm confused.
plywood flooring to AVOID soft spots 🤦🏻♂️
Yeah, I prefer the live voice description. Hey, if the video's too long, we can always fast forward... 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 (KIDDING!!)
awesome
Thanks for asking Josh. Definitely see and hear on the same page.
you bet
I don't mind the manufacture's providing touch up paint, trim, and the like. A pamphlet on expected maintenance would be useful, include type of sealants to use, bearing/wheel maintenance, and winterizing steps. It varies from brand to brand and I don't like the uncertainty in figuring out if I have silicon lap sealant or something else. Plus knowing the manufacture recommended way to grease axles and winterize would be helpful. My dealer has there own ways of doing things, but does it fit my specific make and model?
That's a great idea for a pamphlet! I bet the manufacturer would be interested in knowing this too.

I've been saying "take out the cabinets left of the sink" for like .. 4 years
But what do I know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lol
Josh, PLEASE can you review another Coachmen trailer with a new floor plan…the Apex Ultra lite 241BHS. Only a couple others like it but not with a dinette.
I'll see if I can get ahold of one
I hook the front hose up after we level and before the wife pushes the front slide out. IF I need to dump it, I either pull the slide in or just get under the slide and dump. neither has been an issue
TY. Good to know
Why don’t more rv companies make the 27rlss, I only see puma making it. Do you know of any others?
that layout has largely waned out of popularity. Jayco still makes it thoughruclips.net/video/jfTFkc_AZl0/видео.html
What 4 season campers are a myth? What's next? Dual pane windows don't save energy? Travel trailers that appreciate in value? Thanks for the reviews.
APPRECIATING trailers got me to snort quite literally
I didn't see an electrical outlet in the closet but that would be great for a rechargeable vacuum
That's a clever idea
Hi, I'm Bob and this is my place.
☺
Better to hear while its happening, even with longer times.
you bet
Not too bad.
I keep my kitchen valve open all the time. The bath gray & black I pull every 10 days.
👍🏻
What’s wrong with the pantry door? Seems like it should have lined up with the cabinet door above it!
9:04 yes its easyer.
good!
I think I'm team chairs and table. Our dinette does not sit even our three kids comfortably, but to be fair that might be because we're 7.5 #noslide so...
roger that
Josh, are you Doug-less?? (Douglas obviously - I'll see myself out)
Love this. You can stay.
I still enjoy the Doug joke every time you do it. To me, that fridge is mounted too high.
Glad it still gets a chuckle!
Bob's Country Bunker.
Yep yep!
🎉#NerdHerd
Not sold on giving up space and storage for an outside kitchen I wouldn't use much. Why do these manufacturers insist on making things not user friendly, ie fuse box, Grey water discharge, hook it into one discharge connection with black water, 2 valves. 😢😢😢😢
Bobs Country Bunker
That's the one!
Converter box location is a bad idea, radius shower is the deal breaker. Hate windshields. Way cramped at the stove. Cap washer has to go.
Fair stuff. Ty
I like this layout a lot but wish there were bunks in the front where the kitchen is. I'm sure that's easier said than done. Another great video Uncle Josh.
This camper is a perfect example why I do not like front kitchens. Very awkward layout with torture twisted storage.
the curvature of the nose is why it's challenging
Continue with live voice
consider it done!
