Hello, thank you for these very interesting guitar tests for me, Kindly ask you for advice I would like to buy a Cort Gold A6, the gold A8 seems too sparkling on high frequencies, but I also really appreciate the Maysons. I wonder do the Cort Gold have a good action? Are the frets on the strings tiring to hit? Do you recommend the Colt A6 or should I also consider the Mayson for my next purchase? Thanks for answering me as much as possible and in any case I congratulate you for the work you do for us musicians.
i have a8 ... beautifully sound .. you should try both if it available at your local guitar shop ... for the action i can say properly low out of box... right now im putting the 10's rather than 12's gauge strings for me to easily bar chord (i dont have good strength for barre chords on 12 gauge) anything that is full solid wood will sound better than laminate bs guitar ... paired wif fishman loudbox mini ... ill be damned .... sounds really good for me .... im impressed 👍
It depends on your music genre and sound preferences. If you're into mix of strumming and finger picking then the A6 is better since its a solid sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back/side combination. While the A8 is a combination of solid sitka spruce top and solid pau ferro back/side. I think pau ferro is more sonically superior in terms of mids and highs while mahogay is a more balance but warmer lows and overall sound quality which is good in stumming. Pau ferro, I believed is more expensive so expect that A8 is more expensive. Virtually, they are the same since both share body shape only different tonewoods used.

Haven't yet. Thinking I may wait til the gold A8 comes out. Supposed to be in November. I like the price on the A6 but the A8 sure looks beautiful. Are you happy with the action on yours, or will it need to have a professional setup? Wonder how it compares to an equivalent Taylor? Thanks for your reply:)
Steve Donley I think that the action is fine, it's not to hard to play and there is no fret buzzing while hard strumming. I tried the Taylor 114ce and it's not bad but for me it felt kinda cheap.
you could, it is not expensive like Taylor or martin it's only $368 here in Indonesia, idk maybe just because they're produced it in my country, just like Yamaha, Epiphone, fender, Washburn, Stafford and others big name, but there's also another good guitar with affordable price like Cetta, go check it

What's the difference with cort OC6?
I would assume its just the O6 with a cutaway
And A6 is a grand auditorium body
The OC6 has a 43 mm nut instead of the 45 mm nut. Nevertheless it has the same specs as the A6

The neck is not fat on these guitars. It's modern feeling, but not flat and thin. Really easy to play.
