Fern thank you for bring so real. I saw you and Nancy years ago being interviewed on TV and it was about designer clothes for kids and I really didn’t like it very much. Fast forward to you now and what a difference! You come across as a very loving and considerate person. Not the uppity style conscious woman I thought you were. Your focus on health and beauty make sense to me and your family values come through loud and clear. Your home is full of love and laughter. You’re still gorgeous and love fashion but it’s quite obvious it’s not your number one priority, and I think you set a wonderful example to other women to be the best they can be, me included! Hugs,

Appreciate your honesty. Health, both mental and physical, is much more important than anything “pretty”. You can be drop dead gorgeous but if you are unhealthy or unhappy it doesn’t matter a whit. We all age and doing so with grace is beautiful in itself. Appreciate you very much! I am a 63 year old who was once “extremely pretty” by the worlds standards but has aged. I’m ok with it though because I’m still here and I’m MUCH smarter than I was then. Hope this makes sense. 😊. Sending a hug to you.

Ps: 😂I have plucked my eyebrows, dyed hair, etc. But all done as last minute emergencies. Done separately, frantically on route out, done in the car. Quickly, not done well. You get my point. From the age of abt 14, I regularly set aside an evening etc about once a week to shave etc. Music on. Then I could just neglect rest of week. Easy! Nowadays on route in car and 🌞 hits my chin in car mirror and omw when did those grey wiry hairs on my gin appear. 😢

For the first time in many, many years, I have given myself a pamper do it yourself spa day. My dyed my grey roots. While waiting soaked my feet in my foit spa, gave my foot a mask, masked my face. Gave myself a mani and a pedi. All at once! Sure that this is inspired by watching you - thank you so much. I can already feel how much better I feel (despite battling another infection) while I write this, catching up with your 2 latest episodes) nails carefully drying. You remind me so much of myself at your age. I have been trying very hard to rediscover that me that through the trauma of divorce, health I lost. I am winning and you are a big part of that. I started watching due to my interest in different countries - Positano Diaries (Italy) where I first saw you to vlogs from Russia (Eli) and Svalbard (Cecilia) BUT THE BONUS HAS BEEN the variety you guys post that have made you guys firm favorites. Your interaction with your kids remind me so much of me with my two girls - I was also a young mummy, 23 years when my first daughter was born. Memories were painful at first but now all good - another bonus thank you. Your interest in make up. I love gardening, cooking... so yeah! Thank you Fern. Love from Cape Town, South Africa

I think since you are an only child you have self-esteem knowing who you are and what you want in life. My daughter is an only child, and she is a beautiful 45 year old lady. She has a great job and is a fabulous mother to three beautiful children, my grandchildren which I am blessed to have. Take Care. 😊
Great video! I'm also an only child like the other commenters haha! I was told with celery to cut the end off and then put in a jar or vase of water (like a bunch of flowers) and it will last for weeks, tried it and it worked. Excited for your France Q&A, you and Ryan are always hilarious and also have such a positive attitude, even though you found the move hard, like you say. I've lived in 3 different countries the past two years, NZ, Dubai and UK, and it's a challenge to adapt to the different cultures! x

What thing has surprised you most in France in the way of day to day living in France eg long closures for lunch or the half day off school in the week + Sat mornings or eating cheese with a salad before dessert on a meal out …? I think in my case one of the surprises was that you could stick a slab of chocolate in part of a baguette for children as a snack/goûter! ;)

I know what you mean about eye brow tattoo... mine have been done a good few years now and they have taken on a pinky hue...so I just use the shape of them as a stencil and fill with pencil... have a lovely weekend.. hope you are all over the dreaded lurgy... snotty nose and make up not a good look.😂.. take care ❤

What a lovely surprise, Fern! I am waiting for the boys to wake up and guess who just posted a video!!! I always have the Siemens strips at my house, just because I am prone to infections, lower immune system. What I find very helpful, actually last week I just had a bit of inflammation as the strips showed traces of leukocytes, and I didn't take the antibiotic, but ProCyan, it is a probiotic, capsules, for women. But depending on the severity of the infection, I do not think they will work in every case. But, thank God, they did this time. What French word/s do you find most difficult to say? In my case 33, Henry & pas du tout where the ‘u’ & the ‘ou’ are completely different sounds & mouth gymnastics is needed. Would love to hear the children speaking French. Haven’t forgotten Nancy’s ‘J’aime le soleil tous les jours.’ 😊

Very nice. Different for me, love it all. You are so much like me. I hated school. Couldn’t stay focused. Loved art, and singing. Just wanted a few kids. Born to be a mom. Started wearing makeup and doing my hair when I was 10. I’m older than . I’m 67 and still doing my face and hair every morning. My biggest asset is my hazel eyes. I believe you are very sensitive. When I look into your eyes I see a person who like me has tears just on the edge of falling. We’re happy but we carry so much love in us, it’s always that little if. What if. I can’t control that what if. So my heart seems prepared for that what if. I think we live in a fairytale. We live for happily ever after. And all ends well. But what if.😢😢😢
