  • In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is at IWA 2022 with the creator of the Revo Arms IS-9, the lowest bore axis pistol that still uses a conventional Browning short action recoil system. This Italian pistol will be a polymer framed striker fired handgun that will also use a serialized fire control unit/chassis, meaning that the fire control unit can be swapped to any compatible frame without having to buy another firearm - just buy he frame and swap the FCU. Best of all, it looks like it will be competitive with other polymer framed striker fired handguns in its class.

So this gun isn’t a good product just because the guy who designed it showed up to talk about what he made himself? I don’t know if I can go along with that line of thinking. I’d rather have a sample of the product, see how it performs, and them make a judgement. He only has two pistols but they could be very high quality for the price and very well made for what they are. He didn’t try to dazzle us with a bunch of BS. I see so many companies who have reps show up that aren’t the owner. They have multiple models, multiple formats, multiple coatings, multiple paint schemes, multiple engravings, and all of the products are terrible. Glock has been making the same pistol for virtually the entire time they’ve been in business. Gaston Glock used to do this same stuff when he started out if I’m not mistaken.

@@leroyjenkins4811 what he means is that the (not top quality companies) top selling companies that have the money to send someone who has the PR training out instead of sending the guy who knows it the best. You find with a lot of these smaller companies, the engineer comes out if they’re confident in their product. I’ve met a lot of people who designed the firearm and their spouse at industry shows for companies I don’t remember the name of. Products always felt great, very tight and made of good materials, just never what I was exactly interested in and unfortunately I will never find those companies again.

@@isproject2169 congratulations. The gun looks very cool, especially for the price. One thing I predict you may have problems/critiques about, is the grip safety. I don't know if you included it due to the various laws that there may be in different European countries(or Italy specifically), but if you plan on exporting these to the U.S., I think most Americans will not like the grip safety, especially if they're looking at this as carry gun, or for home/self defense in general.

That was an intelligent design choice to use glock magazines. An adjustable trigger is also a nice feature.
Many Glock knock offs are better than the original. Especially when it comes to triggers and factory sights. The downside to these glockoffs are their magazines. Proprietary, and often more expensive than glock mags.
I'll keep an eye on this company and see if these pistols actually make it into widespread production with the current global situation on going.

Finally, another actual chasis system outside of the super high bore axis P320. Well done

Inverardi is a liar. He has been designing for 5-6 years. He used to have a beauty center. He was our collaborator at TSE, Tecnostudio Engineering, and he stole the entire company server containing dozens of weapons projects!

Man good job! You almost had a near miss with that "cost" signage. He's Italian so if he didn't see the finger rub he would've thought that you were telling him "WTF"

I want one just based on that guys enthusiasm. Even if it goes the way of the Hudson it'll still be a conversation piece.

I spent quite some time at this exhibition booth playing with the prototype and i really like it. Much better ergonomy than a block, nice trigger, etc.. And for 1/10 price of a Laugo Alien.

Without a doubt the best vendor you visited he did the best he could to explain the firearm he even disassembled it and showed you how to put it back together, he's proud of the product awesome that's all I can say.

I pretty much love this stuff just as much as normal shot show and it’s not because of the guns. It’s awesome seeing a common interest among so many countries and cultures
