Liam Neeson's Ra's al Ghul training and somewhat creating Batman was such a great touch. And having it come full circle in Dark Knight Rises with Talia was 👨🍳👌
89 Batman was the 1st movie I ever saw, i was 6 weeks old. Mom and dad took me to the drive in. Batman soundtrack is GOAT. Scandalous talikin bout you and me
What's up, Matt! Mutual The Batman fan here, although I'm one of those freakish The Batman fans that I literally know everything about it. The production designer, the cinematographer, the composer, what style of camera and lenses they used, obviously the director. And when you hear him talk about Batman, you can tell that he's a TRUE fan of the character. All the ways from the 60's-70's as a kid. and The Penguin series that just premiered on HBO is like The Sparanos in The Batman world. It's fucking incredible. It JUST released, so there's only one episode, but it's just over an hour. I promise you'll love it. Matt Reeves just turned in the finished script for The Batman 2, they start filming in the first quarter of next year I believe, and it's scheduled for an October 2nd, 2026, release date. I believe that's the date. either the 2nd or the 3rd of October 2026. There are only 3 framed posters in my entertainment room. The Batman (of course) Joker, and Man Of Steel. But I have a bunch of extra shit for The Batman, lol. I bought corner shelves and filled those mfrs with The Batman script book, the art book, the Riddler prequel comic run, which is one of the best comics runs I've read in a long time, a Batman cowl from the movie, all kinds of shit. Action figures, the whole 9. I'm glad that you're a fan of it, too. It's the first time I felt like I was watching Batman from the comics on screen. I saw it 7 times in theaters and have lost count since I bought it on Blu-Ray. I'd be embarrassed to say the actual number how many times I've seen The Batman. This instantly became one of my favorite new podcasts. Keep killing it guys! And no disrespect to TDK films, especially the second one. But in my humble opinion, The Batman is better in literally every category. I know I probably just pissed a lot of people off, so we'll end it there. But I would love to explain my reasonings for that. But of course, I love that trilogy as well. And the Keaton movies. I was obsessed as a kid. Anything Batman (except those other 2 movies) I know some people still find enjoyment out of them for a variety of reasons, but I'm just not one of those people. You all have a blessed day! P.S. I'd be down with a Henry Cavill Wolverine casting for the new X-MEN. And keep my boy Channing as Gambit since he never got his shot. Ok, I'm out... lol
Batman & Robin, The Dark Knight, The Batman, Batman Forever, The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Batman, Batman Returns that's my worse to best and yes I do like Begins more than Knight
My favorite Batman movie of all time is still Batman Mask of the Phantasm. No live action has ever surpassed it and I don’t think any future releases will. You three should do a separate episode or two on the the animated Batman movies as well as all the DC animated movies
No love for the Adam West Batman movie? Romero, Gorshin, Meredith, amd Meriweather. Great villians. Fun movie. And the best utility belt item....shark repellant.
My list is different. I actually enjoyed batman forever and thought batman and robin was not that bad (when I saw it at release). My worst is between batman 2 and the new one. Then the dark night rises, batman and robin, the dark knight, batman 1 and batman begins wins.
You have to give nolan credit because alot of people say that rises is the weakest of the three which I agree but it’s not drastically lower than Batman begins the problem is that nolan had to complete and close out the trilogy knowing his original story was not going to work that being have the joker continue on to the third film that’s why the joker didn’t have a death scene but ultimately Heath passed in real like and nolan had too much respect for Heath to recast him or have anything to do with joker in the third instalment so yeah nolan literally had to rewrite the third film and change all of his original plans and ideas
Best Batman film - The Batman Best Batman world - Batman Returns Best Batman actor - Ben Affleck Best Gotham - The Batman Best story - Batman Begins Best Batmobile - BVS and Batman Returns
I freakin love Ben Affleck’s Batman from BvS, he was beast. I liked him on Zack Snyder’s Justice League, but was lil underused since he fought Parademons, who are clearly stronger than him. I wish we would’ve gotten Affleck’s Batman vs Joe’s Deathstroke.
Ben had a tough sell, had he got a bad guy who was human it's simply an easier thing to build. Other world stuff vs batman doesn't really work. Ben did great I thought, imagine he got a mr freeze or something
@@dcarson89 yeah you're not wrong by the time we were introduced to his character he had already probably fought Mr Freeze a few times in his 20 years as Batman

I basically agree with Matt Serra on these movies and the order that he placed them. However, I would remove Batman versus Superman because we have to suffer the presence of Ben Affleck on screen and replace it with the joker because it's a brilliant performance from Joaquin Phoenix and Bruce Wayne does appear in the movie so technically it can count as part of the Batman franchise.
