Relaxers straighten Afro hair not turn it curly or wavy. Plus, we don’t always need treatment or manipulation for our hair to turn curly or either wavy. We just have curly, coils, or natural wavy hair.

Should've did a full barrel curl then clipped in the back like you did in front. Medium to large barrel due to the length of her hair. That hair will fall too straight so fast by the time she gets to the door...
Sometimes us girlies want a slight bounce and not a curl. I love my stylist doing these gentle loose curls . It adds body but still allows me to have a straight look without it being too curly

Can a silk press be done on white womens hair? Or is that considered flat ironing? Unsure if silk press is specific to black womens hair due to the nature of its texture
It can be done on any hair that is Afro, curly or wavy, doesn’t matter your skin tone.

Does wearing rubber gloves during washing etc not cause more friction on the hair and therefore more breakage? I understand why you wear them - to protect your hands. I can only imagine how many chemicals your skin would touch throughout the day and the amount of time your hands would be in water if you didn't (wear them) but I'm just curious.

Whenever I can, I prefer to wear gloves while working on clients and the gloves do absolutely no harm to the clients hair, in fact it can actually be more hygienic to wear gloves. The gloves also prevent your skin from absorbing all the products that way you end up with less wastage.
@@JenniferCynthiaHair aaah okay! That makes sense. Yeah I did think it was for hygiene reasons as well as everything else I mentioned. But the fact that gloves create friction because of the texture, that prompted me questioning how it affects hair
