I'm just getting into quads and having been an engineer for over 30 years I love simplicity. TBS are right up there with their gear and thinking ahead to make life easier for the amateur and pro alike. Nice job TBS!
Installed it last week and been waiting to hear about it from the master JB himself, it truly is awesome and works fantastically, thanks TBS as JB said.

So without being prepared, I was able to get my radio, pull the sd card out ( QX7 ) download the TBS Agent lite from the description, install as instructed, put it back in my Radio and test it, without pausing your video once and before it was over. Both YOU and TBS are doing something right here..

TBS is the best. After only using frsky for the first few months of FPV, then switching to tracer and upgrading my radio to TX16S. I am enjoying FPV much more. The lower latency translates much better from the simulator than it did before. Thank you JB.

Been using this for 2/3 weeks now. It certainly puts everything in one nice easy place.
It took me less time to download this, take out my sd card, copy to the sd card, put back in the radiomaster tx16s.... than it did for me to watch this video 👍👍

All of this is cool. What I expect now: OpenTX Companion with TBS radio support (configuring model settings from tiny Tango 2 screen is not fun). And Linux version for TBS Agent.
FYI with offiicial release of new Fusion and WiFi firmwares now you’re able to configure WiFi connected (directly and via cloud) devices using TBS Agent Lite
I installed it at about the time you released this video but completely ignored it. I would still use the LUA script for some reason 🤷🏾♂️. But Agent Lite saved me yesterday. I updated my Crossfire module and Rx recently and after that, ran into some Syntax error problem when I was using the LUA script to change the Nano Rx settings. I was reminded that the same thing could be done using TBS Agent Lite. After hours of frustration trying to figure what was wrong with the LUA script, there was a faster resolution all along and I didn't realize it. So much time was wasted.
On my taranis x9d firmware 2.2.2 there is no tools in script folder. Whats up?
Thus asking if there is a minimum version of opentx to support this new tool. Would be great to mention that in the description of the video
If you're a Tango 2 users and you don't see the Tools folder on the SD card, update your FreedomTX, and that apparently resolves it. Not sure which version fixes it, but I know for sure 1.24 works.
Will TBS Agent Lite work on a FkySky NV14 (Nirvana)? Has anybody tried this already

You are a master and im an idiot. On my x9d my crossfire lite works fine since many years but on my new tx16s no way. did everything but no lights in my crossfire. pins look fine but no detection.
The web version works well, but for some reason Agent Lite does not work on my RadioMaster TX16s running EdgeTX 2.8.0. The app fires up but it hangs when I click on Output Map or Channel Map. You can see the status bar move a bit but then it just hangs. I had it working fine running open TX but I converted to EdgeTX about 8 months ago and have not tried it until now.

oh no, have they changed options. installed 0.95 and do not have Freq option and many more missing. using Tx16s EdgeTx 2.5
but it doesnt bind with my nano and pocket erls. same with elrs
I have issue to use agent lite on edgeTX...microTx does not show up...rx data freezes or loadinh very slowly

Do you maybe know if the RSSI trick (setup rssi in 12channel mode, then switch back to 8channel) still works? Would be intresting to me as dji user, since they are "not able" to add full BF OSD support to their goggles 😉
The lua scripts weren’t working for me at all so I tried the TBS agent desktop app. No go, because i’m retarded and plugged the cable into the radio and not the TX 🤦🏻♂️ so I tried the agent lite app. Worked perfectly and went super smooth. If you run TBS stuff, you gotta run this app.

I don't know... I'm struggling with why TBS just didn't choose to make this a replacement already instead of an add on.
I'm also a little curious that if someone installs both on their radio, is there a possibility for conflicts between the software?
I'm not complaining about the app. Just want to know more about it. I think there was a bit of a missed opportunity to talk about that in this video.

Would have been needful maybe to precise the minimum recommendations for it to work fine 😉, as it is supposed to work great on latest OpenTx 2.3.11 and can have some bugs or performance issues in older 😉
Also that your crossfire module needs to be in version 3.78 minimum version or it will not work correctly.
Incredible script, using it for some weeks now so much better even than the physical display on the full TX 👍
...or just pick up a tried-n-true trusty Crossfire Lite (2 watt w/ display) and simply flip the tx over for instant direct access.
Mine's been flawless for a few years now with zero time spent messing with scripts or apps.
Just a heads up. I needed to re-bind my quads after installing Agent Lite. Not a big deal, but I was surprised that for some reason, installing the Agent killed my bindings.
I'm really surprised to hear that happened. My guess is you changed the RADIO.BIN file on the SD card, which holds your bindings. Normally, installing the script as shown in this video should not affect your bindings.
@@JoshuaBardwell hi Joshua. - I didn’t do anything other than install the script. I went to each quad and they were unbound.
I'm having the same issue and so is a friend. Radio.bin was never touched.
EDIT: Nevermind - turns out I updated the Tango II AND its XF module, but not the nano rx...derp...no wonder it couldn't see my receivers.

Joshua thank you for your great information, however, I NEED HELP! I'm very new to tbs. I have a new tango 2 Pro and I've just followed your steps. I pressed the TBS agent lite, which goes into looking for devices... but what device is it supposed to be connecting too?? Perhaps a silly question... but I'm literally still trying to bind my iflight quad, if someone can please help, it will be much appreciated 🙏

After some research I can tell that my version 2.2.3 is too old. The tools folder was added some versions later. So I will update to the latest firmware today ;)

Use UART 4 TX/RX on top of the board or UART 3 TX/RX on the bottom.

I still miss the full colour touchscreen control of my old TX - see a button, press a button, same with the sliders. My T16 control interface feels real clunky in comparison with it's scroll scroll, oops the scroll wheel over-scrolled, scroll back, click.
What was your old Tx? Spectrum?
@@Rene200Y Turnigy TGY-i10, it has a resistive touchscreen not capacitive, but still miles better than the 3 buttons & scroll wheel of the T16 control system (its long press of the scroll wheel button is annoying). Being resistive you could use any implement to press the screen, it came with a stylus that neatly stores in the radio, and there's less chance of pressing the wrong button like with capacitive touchscreens.

Lol cus the lua sc4ipt is shit. Mine used to work flawlessly... now a year later.... upgraded firmware on my rig and the shit sucks assss.. wont connect 1/2 of the time to my qx7 to change tx output power...... Ill go into scripts and hit TX....... itll come up....! BAM gone again😑😑... I wouldnt even tryyyy to connect to my rx via the scripts.....they .... suck dicks...!! Or like Joshua said.. they didnt suck😆 just this is WAYY better! "he was wrong.. it sucks in every way"! Thats why hes playing all excited..... cus this is prettyyy big!!

It loads and runs on my TX16S but if I try to change tx power it locks up the TX16S and I have to power it down to recover, TBS seems to have removed it I can't download it anymore.

Because there are new features and a mobile app coming that will dovetail with the nicer, cleaner, interface. Also because janky radio shit sucks :)
But what is it for? I have a DX9 black edition with the full size crossfire. I know I can't use this on my radio, but if I could what benefit does it have over what I can do through the crossfire screen?
If you have the full crossfire module there is less advantage, although it's nicer using a big screen like on the RadioMaster vs. turning over the radio to use the tiny joystick.

Plugging my new tracer Nano in and X-Lite Pro with a model set to crossfire external, off internal (orange module light is on), I just get "looking for devices" forever on both the Crossfire LUA and the TBS Agent X Lite. Is this normal and I need to have a RX active or should I be seeing config options for my module and have an issue?
I have had this in my Jumper T8SG V3 since I purchased the crossfire module about 6 months ago. I'm not sure if its included with the deviation firmware or its loading the interface from the crossfire module.

I literally just got my Tracer installed and set up this morning... idk if I can go through this shit again for a "cleaner look" 🤣
It's not anywhere near as crazy as an initial setup is. Just drop the file and the folder into the correct spot on your sd card and you're good to go.

Does the newest tango 2 pro have this pre installed? My menus came looking that way from TBS. I have the v3 pcb and it came with 500mw firmware installed. From what ive seen i havent had to update anything so far as its already there. Aside from the 1 watt upgrade anyhow. I haven't seen a necessity to need heatsinks and a shortened battery life though. I think the tango could use a much bigger battery in my personal opinion. 2-3 hours is where id like it to be.
So Josh what advantages will I personally see by using this? What advantages does it give? Does it make the radio any quicker inside the menus

I think all of these game style radios need bigger batteries! Can you imagine being out a mile or so and having your radios battery die?! That's the main reason why I won't be buying a Jumper TLite with its 1s 18650. Sheesh!
