Josh, you couldn't have explained that any better. Great video mate...I actually learnt something today... at the age of 51!!! Mick 🇬🇧
If you put the channel and power on aux-channels and use knobs, you can basically do this on any Smartaudio VTX. It will select the channel and power as soon as the receiver gets the Aux signal. If you have set up the quads the same and use the same radio you can just turn the knows on the radio to the desired vtx settings on one quad and if you plug another in it will use the same as soon as it gets the radio signal.
I thought it did as well, but it seems like it's either not working on my quad, or the SA from BF continues to overrule it. Either way, can't get it to start up on a different channel then it was on previously.
@@JekleFPV If betaflight can still control the VTX then it is wired up incorrectly - if done correctly BF can no longer control the VTX at all (it's bypassed/not wired up - so no more VTX tables needed either - A good thing!), it's done entirely threw CRSF/SA, directly from the reciver to the VTX, controlled by either the LUA scripts or ya fusion goggle module, best of luck!

I found the same thing, but it seems like it only works on the pro32 hv, because my old unify hv wont show up (I cannot change the channel sadly). Is there anything else to set or are those just too old?
Oh, another thing: to set the pads to be CRSF RX and TX on the receiver, you only have to set output 4 to CRSF TX and output 3 will automatically be set to RX. I got really confused when I didn't find CRSF RX on the menu, until I read the manual more carefully lol

One comment about the wiring of the Unify Pro32 Nano (it may also be the case with other TBS vtxes - my experience is limited to the Pro32 Nano) - when you install a new vtx and unlock the power output using the button on the vtx (as far as I know this is the only way it can be done, you cannot do it using AgentX or Lua script) you must do it BEFORE you solder that blue wire (the one on the side of the vtx), because after wiring that side pad on the vtx to the Crossfire/Tracer receiver the button on the vtx stops working!
Good information! So glad you finally made this video. I had to figure it out on my own, and I remember it not being so fun. Glad that others now have a good resource to learn how.
I wonder if there's a similar thing for Shark Byte, but so far no issues because there's only 8 channels and our group have sort of settled on each of us having our own designated channel for our VTXs.

I run unify pro32 nano vtx’s and crossfire nano ex’s mounted to either the stock tbs mount board or the whitenoisefpv boards on all my quads. Does this work with the Unify pro 5g8 v3 as well?
Yes but you have to set the crossfire receiver to SmartAudio not CRSF.
Good same in ghost
Shouldn't this work with rush VTXs also since they actually license the smart audio from TBS?
It will
Can you change the power with a switch like you can in betaflight?
You can go into and out of pit mode but not change power other than that.
How do you get the TBS Agent Lite Lua Script on the TX16S?
Download it from TBS website...drop it in the Firmware Folder on your SD card of your TX16S...simple.
Where does the vtx get its information from to put on the osd?
The vTX doesn't draw the OSD. The FC has a chip on board that the video signal passes through, and the FC causes the chip to draw the OSD.
So the camera signal wire will go to my fc and then another signal wire will go into my vtx?
Correct.
It still scares me one day I'll try
My module can't change vtx power
I use vtx pro32 HV
Module tbs lite
Tx x9d
Anyone can help ?
The great thing about this feature is that TBS vtx is not required, you can use it with all other smart audio enabled vtx :) Even further - TBS Fusion can send commands thru wifi to the XF module, and switch the channels or power output on the fly :)
Can you do this with the Tango 2?
Yes you can, you can also use smartaudio
Can you do a review on flysky i6s radio?
What do you want to know about it?
@@vkumar95aviator I want to know how much good this expensive transmitters are compare to flysky i6s (in case of there gimbal feeling and range ).
@@abhisheksahoo8544 drop me a whatsapp text on +65 81836744 and maybe i can help you from there.
We really need standards for better interoperability
Fuck smart audio. Im a man of hardship. BUTTON LIFE
Main advantage for me over betaflight is, that most of my FCs only have 2-3 UARTs. Using myVTX, I can use Runcams over UART.
I'm a beginner and I don't like being told what to do so I'm just going to buy expensive gear and mess with it because I can
I hate those button pushes and I hate the VTX tables. I was somebody could make it easier
5:18 this is the one thing...?? NO, THIS IS THE ALL. this is usless.... you know that
The two featuers I need most are A) seeing what channel I'm on in the OSD and B) being able to switch channels with a switch (as you showed in ruclips.net/video/a1_U2v0kAjg/видео.html). So I will continue to use Smartaudio via the FC.
Tbs is always first. Lol
