JK Rowling actually published a book under the name Robert Galbraith after the harry potter books because she wanted an honest opinion about her book. It is on my TBR 😊
Yes she did! Unfortunately I don't have that book on my shelf but I've always been curious about it :)
She chose the name jk Rowling because she didn’t want people to know if she was male of female 😋
@@Alana_King I have the Career of Evil book
There are four books by Robert Galbraith aka J.K.Rowling. It's a series again about Cormoran Strike and his "assistant" Robin Ellacott
Dude!! Really!? My last name is Galbraith??
Oh my, how do you own so many books? My parents are always limiting how many I buy since they can get pretty expensive
Lil Lookuh well, a large mix of things! I’ve been collecting books since I was 5. Some of these books were gifted to me over the years. I used to work at a bookstore so I got a really good discount on books for about 4 years. Some of the books were sent to me by publishers. Some of them are ARCs which means they’re review copies I got through work. I also do a lot of secondhand and discount book shopping.
Alana King wow I thought I had a lot of books😂 I thought you were at a library
Discount books will be your friend, book depository is an online book store that ships free all across the world and before I knew they existed I had a lot less books.
Two words:Op shops
The best things ever
Buy them overtime
A lot of these I was screaming “LEMONY SNICKET!”
Charlie which would’ve worked if I had any books by him haha!
Alana King, this is a crime!
YASASSSSSSSSS I've read almost all the volumes
A series of unfortunate events!
GOSH HE’S A GOD AnD sO uNdERrrtaEd
Cassandra Clare is actually a pen name.

Your voice is so calming and soothing idk why 😂

I was doing the challenge with you and I paused the video for the 500-510 page book and I kid you not I picked up Blood Of Olympus, saw it was 502 pages, played the video, and you picked up the same book.
Just A Girl Sitting In A Sink are ya a fan of HOO and PJO?
Wow so many books! I'm a biiig bookworm, but books in my country are bit expensive. So I can't buy them so often. Oh and I'm the first time on your channel and I'm loving it. And I have a Hobbit book where on the front is one map and at the back is one mape

Mad Hatter do you live in Canada? Books can be pretty expensive.
No, I live in Bosnia(search if you don't know about it)
Mad Hatter lol i have a friend from bosnia and can understand a tiny bit of the bosnian language since polish and bosnian are a little bit similar (and i‘m from germany lmao)

Missed your book videos 😍
I'm going to try to post more in 2019! :)
I love you! This is the first time I'm watching your video. You seem very pleasant to be with.
Hi Alana King.
Can we be friends? Do you use Wattpad?
This was really fun, I liked playing along trying to see if I had any books that matched questions
*saw the supernatural book and flipped because I want it 😂*
I have some of them and really recommend! I love how cute they are because they are small! Lol!
@@FaithLaneAuthor where can i buy them??
I love how many books you have. I also love how you have them organized.
Omg so glad you have rick riordan books cause they are the best!!
You have such a big bookshelf...with so many books 😻
I only have 2 shelves worth (im slowly expanding)
This was fun! I really like videos about books!
I feel like everyone these days have books that have been turned into shows/movies. 😅
The question is : did you read/have the book BEFORE it was turned into a show/movie? I don't. But I read so many books because I loved the movie, starting with Kramer vs Kramer when I was still in elementary school.
I read "Harry Potter" 3 times before I saw the movies.
I read "Percy Jackson and the lightening thief" before I saw the movie.
I read "Murder in Orient Express" (or whatever it is called in english) and I still haven't seen the movie.
I read "The Name of the Rose" and we are watching a movie in school right now.
I read "Game of Thrones" and other books from the series and still I didn't watch the show (I know it is great I will watch it in the future).
I read the "Hunger Games" and watched like a half of the movie 3 years later.
I read "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" and I have not seen the movie...
Okay, maybe I haven't read it before they were turned into the movies, but many times I learned that there is a film based on a book long after I have read the book.
I think the only thing I watched and didn't read it is an anime: "Attack on Titan".
Yep, but the ones I have are basic ( Percy Jackson, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Miss Peregrine's house for Peculiar Children etc)
Pretty much
A series of unfortunate events would work for almost all of the questions
Awwwww I have the same pink Pygmy Puff❤💛
I feel the same way you do about The ShadowHunters tv series. I only watched three episodes and then didn't watch it again.
I dont really read books but this video was surprisingly fun to watch
AW HECK YEAH I WAS THINKING CARRY ON BEFORE YOU EVEN GRABBED THE BOOK!! YOU ARE A FRIEND BECAUSE YOU OWN THAT BOOK!!
In your library,do you have "The Chronicle of Narnia"??I am really curious,is my favourite series of books ❤❤
Maria Mustata yes I have three of them!
@@Alana_King can u make a review about it
Maria Mustata it’s my favorite books series too! (Sorry for my bad English)
Saw the AKF beanie and immediately thought Jared Padelecki😂💗
I was thinking of my books and the clock question came up and I thought of The House With a Clock in its Walls and I looked it up to see the cover and discovered that that book is a series...
Oh my gosh! I didn't know it was a series! I watched the movie and loved it.
I LOVE YOUR BOOKSHELF!
YEEEEEEESSS a book tag video!!! Super fun to watch! Love your beautiful bookshelves as always, Alana, and thank you for sharing!
I love this. When I was young I was so booky. It drove my parents mad. Later on in the world of business it gave me a huge advantage over the non readers. My better was a friend of my dad who had a first in Latin Literature from Oxford. He said it was the best Business School in the world. I suppose it all really boils down to IQ. The race is to the swift and the swift are the smarty pants and they read.
The water fire saga is 4 books and each one has two maps on inside of the hardback covers. Absolutely recommend this series. While directed towards teens and tweens the word choice proves otherwise in some parts including Latin, Russian, creole, Italian, and a few original languages.
I love your channel so much but when you said that you don’t like the show shadowhunters part of me died inside 😂❤️ I’m obsessed with both the books and the show!
oh my God literally just yesterday i was wondering: Will Alana post a video about books this year cause i remember the old times... :3
Taadaa!!
Uprooted is one of my most favourite books! My edition has flat edges though.
YAY! I've missed the book videos so much! I love seeing your gorgeous bookshelves.
I got so excited when I did this tag because for the three people on the cover question I got to break out John Winchester's journal.
Yesssss that AKF beanie
Its so nice to see someone who organizes alphabetically. Organized by color looks nice, but it would drive me insane because I would NEVER be able to find anything.
An Ember in the Ashes has 2 different maps. One at the front of the book and one at the back. At least the version with the original cover if you still have it. I'm surprised that there was only 3 categories I didn't have: graphic novel, famous celebrity, and same initials as me.
Omgg I loved this video, I love to read soooooo much, I wish I could have a library like yours someday❤️❤️
Omg Scythe! I love that book so much!
Just wanted to let you know, I know have a bunch of Funko Pops and I'm on the season 2 finale of Supernatural thanks to you. You're awesome. Thank you. ❤️
That was really cool. I recently moved and I’m in the process of rebuilding my study and I know I’ll be playing this while putting up my books. ;)
Fun fact of the video: Big Ben is actually only the name of the bell, not the tower itself. The tower is called Elizabeth Tower to commemorate the Queens Diamond Jubilee, but prior to that, it was just called the Clock Tower.
I'm new and this is the first video I've watched of you and my eyes immediately darted back to the Maximum Ride Series and YYYYEEEEESSSS
I been maybe wanting to try the supernatural books but A lot of people say that their very different from the show but I still may try them
They are different from the show, BUT they're still entertaining! It's like reading actually published fanfiction, but good fanfiction.
I completely agree about the Shadowhunters show. I was so Syked then it came out and I was like, oh. It's twilight all over again:(
I love the book of the mortal instruments
YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!! CASSANDRA CLARE!!!!!!
Just found your channel. You're a reader AND A FAN OF SUPERNATURAL?! HOW DID I NOT FIND YOUR CHANNEL TIL JUST NOW?!?! Subscribed.

I agree about Shadowhunters, loved the books and was not a fan of what they did with the tv show.
Scythe is honestly in my top five favorite books it’s amazing
I hope to read it this year. How'd you like it?
Last: The Beautiful Creatures Series by Kaci Garcia and Margaret Stohl, and the House of Night Series by P.C. and Kristin Cast
I immediately spot the mortal instruments book lol😂
I love how you were trying to find a book with an author with a pen name and all of Cassandra Clare’s books were just sitting there.
Omg I’m jealous I want all your books 💛💛💛
Books in the Warriors series by Erin Hunter usually have more than one map.
I had no idea about this when I did the challenge. *facepalm*
A supernatural fan 💚
Omg I want that supernatural book
4:50 I HAVE THAT BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!
Cinder is a really good book, I'm reading the sequal right now
Omg u read maximum ride too!!!! I want to be ur friend!!
ok so i really really really wanna buy 'Fangirl' by Rainbow Rowell and i heard you mentioned it in the video when you talked about Carry On so if you have read it, do you recommend it?
did i just hear u call Scythe ....sky-th.?? ? ? ?
Finally someone else who shares the same opinion on the Shadowhunters tv show😂. Like if I wasn’t such a huge fan of the books/never read them then I probably would love the show. But I can’t deal with all the changes they made. A few fine, they are necessary, but from what I’ve seen it’s literally not even the same plot line anymore
Where are your bookshelves from?
I love this video🙌
OMFG WHEN YOU PULLED OUT Empire Of Storms I HAD A LEGIT HEART ATTACK
(Sorry about the caps, I just got so excited..)
arc of a scythe is amazing
The luna funko pop thooo
This challenge is so fun!
I'm the opposite, I like writing poetry more than reading it haha. I never took a poetry class but I also think that poetry isn't something you can learn. Bc it is such a versatile area & impossible to define. Sure, you can learn different things you could use, but I find myself not applying that knowledge while I'm writing. Cause when I write a poem it just flows. Subconsciously. No methods, nothing. Just feelings. And feelings write the best poems. It's only when it's done that I analyze it.
I love The Blood of Olympus💖
When you picked up the Order of the Phoenix for the 500 pages thing, I was like "Well it might be 800, but you know..."
Really cool video, by the way :)
Personally try watching like the second part of season two of shadowhunter it’s not the same as the book but it’s really really good unless you already watched it and didn’t like it
the 3rd one you could use (idk if u know it) selection
I have the Carrie Fisher's book as well, but the spanish edition is a little bit more uglier (?). I mean it's paperback cover and the colors are more faded. Your version looks beautiful. also, I love that book!
I envy your book shelf ugh
I loveeeeee shadowhunters like crazy
Woww i love this tag, maybe I will answer it too.😊😊
I wish I had that many books
I was just looking at the Heros of Olympus series

I was actually searching for rick riordan books on the thumbnail, and I saw The Lost Hero!
Same
Love this!
I need some space to build bookshelves so I can have as many books as you have. Becouse right now I don't have place to store any new books so my mom dosn't let me buy as many books as she used to...
For the map question I just kept screaming “SIX OF CROWS” over and over in my head.
She might not have it
I LIVE for that series!! The Grisha trilogy is really awesome too.
There is a book called ‘Hunted’ and it’s based off of beauty in the beast.
I have that book as well and I hear it's good!
Some Warrior Cat books have two maps (credit to another comment) and is also written by more than two authors.
Hey Alana I know you probably won’t see this but happy new year and I love ur videos 💕
Omg u saw it!! Tysm!! 💕
Pseudonymous Bosch is a pen name. 😊
