- In which Illy, Andrea, my mom and I embark on an epic Supernatural location search. We ended up finding a lot of cool places including the playground used as the entrance to heaven, the Men of Letters bunker entrance, some cross roads sites, and more! If any of the information is wrong, I apologize. We are not professionals but we had a lot of fun :)

It sucks that people graffitied the bunker enterance, kinda ruins the look for when you see it :(
Yeah it does suck a little but it was still so cool to see in person. Very recognizable even with all the graffiti!
It’s not a actual bunker. It’s just a that door blocks he entrance to a cave,tunnel or other off limits space in North Van.
Haha it was hilarious that no one on the Riverdale set questioned why you were there 😂

I live in Vancouver and I didn’t know all these things were near me. You went to the giggle damn place and that is near where they filmed yellow fever where dean is in the car and does the eye of the tiger thing.
Okay, but Andrea's dress is so pretty and I loved how all the layers bounced while y'all were dancing
I hope Jared and/or Jensen see this and tell you at your next convention which speculations were true and which ones are false.
Lol that would be great. I think with the bridge/bunker and heaven's playground we were pretty spot on, but that whole area with the crossroads I was never sure where exactly certain things were. I'd love some clarification on that!

I would love to but unfortunately I live many many many thousands of miles away from Vancouver. I'm hoping to go back next August though so crossing my fingers I can make more of these videos then!
I loved this! Especially as it was all one show, it was so nice to follow along and get immersed into the mood. I also enjoyed the editing here, it was calmer and ending it with the gorgeous "road so far" in sunset was a very nice touch!

Yes, I found out that the Season 13 playground they used for the Heaven's Gate was different than the one they had been using. Still haven't found out where the S13 one is, but I'm working on it! Sorry you had trouble finding all the spots in the Back 40 Dogpark. I'm working on finalizing all those exact locations. They're more accurate on my Google Map than on the website at the moment.
Btw, the deserted town scenes in AHBL were shot in Bordertown in Maple Ridge, which is not accessible to the public. In fact, I'm not sure it's even usable by a film crew anymore.

The site really is a labor of love and I'm continually working on it and updating it. My goal is to have lists on the site based on locations, so filming spots will be much easier to find. I'm getting close to getting this accomplished. Anyway, thx again and happy hunting! :D
I remember a little over a year ago i went out for dinner at a Mexican restaurant in New Westminster and Supernatural was getting filmed just across the street from the restaurant. This was before i even started watching the show so i didnt care at the time, now i wish i went to look at it.
watching this video made my day I absolutely loved it and enjoyed it thanks and I really hope you make more one day because I can't wait for more location hunting from movies and film sets videos. I myself have not done location hunting from my favorite tv show or movie but I hope to someday. thanks for making my day and making me smile everyday you inspire me so much, Alana.

You are totally like my spirit animal. Being able to go out and see filming location is something I love to do. It a mix between the TV nerd in me and the film nerd in me that loves getting to see the different locations or sets. Then I love getting to watch the shows over again or other shows and be like I know that location or I was there. Also believe I saw a location that was also used in Smallville multiple times and it made me a little happy. You are totally making me wish I could go and see these location too.
I really hope I can make more of these at some point in the future because I absolutely LOVE visiting filming locations. There's definitely something so cool about being where the stories you loved actually filmed. Makes me feel more connected to the shows.

Unfortunately Andrea and Illy were only in town for one day following the convention, but if they had been there longer we would've probably done more days of this! There's so much to see, and it's a lot of fun to go looking for the locations. Sometimes you even stumble across some hidden gems :) Best of luck with your own search!

This was seriously amazing! I loved seeing you so happy and in your element.
They actually moved the Heaven entrance because of Castiel in season 10. The reason why was because in 10x17, he kidnaps Metatron from Heaven. We learn about the moving of the gates in 11x02.

That was really cool! It looks like you had a great time. And I am pretty sure that place with the tree has been in one of the episodes because it does really look familiar.
Across from the Giggle Dam Theatre is the place where Dean did the Eye of the Tiger thing. I live 2 minutes away from it and I’m sad that I didn’t know what Supernatural was at that time otherwise I would’ve gone to the set.

Wow, I used to live in Vancouver and I can't believe I never tried to look for these places. What was I doing? I think I've seen them filming once, but I don't know what episode that scene was in
Ahhh I was so bummed when we were there, they were only filming in studio! No on location shooting so I didn't have a chance to actually watch them film :( Maybe next time.

I don't think that's the tree with Anna's grace. If I remember correctly, that tree was in a more open field location :)
