Hello Excellent news for all of us! Many thanks for the crazy job that you are doing! Quick one, any idea when free template sakai will be ready for Angular 18 or 19?
Just did the kickstart meeting with the team for the template updates, we plan to update them all in January. Sakai is the first one. Diamond gets a total remaster, similar to Vue.
this feels like the 20th video where you click through the colours and we are happy that we can change the theme on-the-fly. but what about the more than 1000 open issues, some of which contain critical bugs? they are simply closed by batch after a while in the hope that they have been resolved...
It simply impossible to review all issues in details, sometimes 10 more comes up when working on a single ticket. That's why we prioritize PRs and expect users to send a PR along with the issue report. Angular also have 1500 open issues, OSS maintainers can't deal with this much of workload without the community helping them. Here are the points where we need help if you'd like to contribute. github.com/primefaces/primeng/labels/Resolution%3A%20Help%20Wanted
Awesome, I love this, I've based my project on the diamond template and the primeblocks, Once the diamond template and the primeblocks are updated to use tailwind i'll try to migrate. Any idea when that will be?
Can you focus on implementing a proper CI pipeline with unit, integration and visual tests? Too many regressions have been happening, even with patch versions.
Yes, PrimeNG v20 has a new CI pipeline with a new test suite. The points you've mentioned are due to codebase being legacy and hard to maintain, in v20 we're tackling this.
@@cagataycivici Ok, so I need to abort the upgrade, we started it, and we liked new approach for styling, but we can't use it in this format. I have seen 19.0.3 and I already encountered half of the fixed issues.
Under heavy consturction, we setup all-star team for PrimeReact v11, first beta in January. Developed in parallel with PrimeNG v20, more content for PrimeReact coming up after 11 beta.1. It will be the next-gen version.
You and your team did amazing work with the latest Release
