New Dcr Clutch Push Rod

Installing the new dcr clutch push rod
First move aside the plastic grommet then take out the c clip that holds the push rod be carful not to take the whole assembly out you just need a knife to separate the black piece from the white plastic on the dcr instructions say don't install the black metal piece to the new rod in my case I chose to install it anyways and I did all the same process in reverse done

hey I have a quick question for the metal cup is it hard to take out and for my master the yellow/white plunger isn't yellow/white it is metal and the metal cup sits in it and it is very hard to take off and still hasn't came off any thought?

How did you separate the retainer clip from the piston with your knife I’m having trouble prying it off... I’m also doing it under the dash and I just can’t separate it. Seems like I’m just scratching and cutting the piston up

sergio morales yes of course I took it off but I’ll check that video out. But yeah I took dust cover off, snap ring out and now at the retainer and piston but I am having trouble separating them and trying not to scratch up the piston and cut into it so much I’ve tried flathead, razor blade and pocket knife to try and get under it
