5x5 means they hear you clearly.
Essentially meaning 100% while 3x5 would be ~60% clarity and 1x5 meaning it was very unclear.
This is military, Aviation, and most likely nautical communication standard.
Interesting, we just used "Lima-Charlie" for "Loud and Clear" or Lima-Charlie, how me? To check how we sound on the opposing end of comms
Yes this is correct. As I work with aircraft, if I tell them 3x5 I will also tell them it's due to static. If they are at the 1x5 level, I just tell them they are unreadable and to try again when they are closer.
"Read you five" means "perfectly readable". Anything beyond that like "five square", "five by five" are just lyrics for clogging the frequency.
I was a field radio operator in the Marine Corps and we did not use "5x5" or any variation of that. We would say "Read you loud and clear", or simply "lima charlie" if the transmission was easy to interpret. If the signal was weak, we would say, "broken and unreadable", or "broken but readable" for example. I am also a licensed amateur (HAM) radio operator and "5x5" is sometimes used amongst HAM operators. The first number signifies QSA (signal strength) ranging from 1 to 5 (scarcely perceptible to very good) and the second number signifies QRK (intelligibility of the signal) ranging from 1 to 5 (bad to excellent).

Don't. I bought it, it's cool for the first hour or two, but then gets very repetitive. That and there are only 5 missions, and there isn't a multiplayer mode. The game devs are paying a bunch of streamers to promote it tho, so you'll see a few videos out there about it.

To each his own. Yes there are 5 missions but each one has like 5 parts. so you can easily spend 30 hours playing this game or even more if your trying to get all the achievements. Personally I loved it and then played SGW1 which was less graphics but much harder. Also people be raggin on this game have not played it after the update which fixed a lot of things that YES were broken but still it's a fun play. COD it is NOT. This is a game where you have to take your time. If your looking for an instant action game go play warzone.

A real marine doesnt work alone, runs through a large complex with many corners or use a loud shotgun or even a sniper rifle.

The term 5X5 is rooted in the communications within military forces through WWII to mean "I understand you perfectly." The first number represented the Signal Strength of a radio communication, and the second number represented the signal clarity on a scale from 1-5 -- 1 being the worst; 5 being the best. Therefore 5 by 5 means the signal has excellent strength and perfect clarity - the most understandable signal possible. Five by five is the predecessor to the term "Loud and Clear" or "Lima/Charlie" used by military units today.
It found its way into verbal slang, meaning "everything is good" or "everybody is well/good". 🤓

I truly enjoyed GWC1 and now I am having a blast with GWC2. I like thinking out my strategy as I clear almost all bases without raising alarms. I carefully watch the patrols and notice gaps in their patterns so that I can take out each target in the best sequence to prevent their bodies from being noticed. Some bases can seem overwhelming with so many enemies scattered about but if you take your time, pay attention, learn their patterns, you can always find a way to take them all out quietly.

I have been playing sniper games since sniper elite first came out in 2004, but this game on the other hand is by far the best sniper game i have ever played to date, and far much better than any Sniper Ghost Warrior game .

i see they finally fixed the enemy sight lines. i remember the first game, the enemies could see you from over 300m away like they were wearing thermal binoculars. they could also shoot you with sniper accuracy from that distance with iron sights thru bushes n shit lol
