Hi Chef AJ. lovely video. My husband was diagnosed with heart disease, kidney failure and advanced prostate cancer in 2013. I thought that I was going to loose him. I got the best physician there was, and I put him on a WFPB and he quit smoking, as that shocking diagnosis got him afraid. he reversed his heart problems, his cancer went into remission and a month ago his blood tests revealed that his kidney function has improved from stage 4 to stage 3. The doctor said he is walking miracle, because usually they say that you cannot reverse kidney disease. He turned 83 this year and outlived his parents by 4 years.

Enjoyed this chat! I’ve been wanting to join the SOS gatherings and yet live in the Bay Area that’s over 100 miles each way (in traffic!) and made lots of excuses for not traveling to meet the group….and while watching I realized I should try to find or start my own group here! It’s a lonely venture as only my immediate family eat like us and would love to make friends who see the world as I do. I am retiring tomorrow and this will be my next big adventure!! 65 and been WFPB 6 years…..❤

I’ve decreased how much I use with the oil but the salt isn’t where I want it to be. I could do better. I’m trying to do better for myself by cutting down and then eliminating it completely. I would like to encourage Esther regarding your thyroid - have you considered taking iodine supplements - this is what our bodies are lacking and shows up in our thyroid. I sadly had thyroid cancer and had my thyroid removed before learning the truth - our body needs iodine - it’s imperative for our thyroid. I would encourage you to research and look further into so that you won’t need any more pharma - I’ve been able to reduce mine with supplements, but because I don’t have a thyroid, I may end up being on the pharma for life - although it is my journey to eliminate all pharma and use only natural supplements for my heath.

Although I’m disappointed that I “caved”by filling a prescription for levothyroxine a few months ago my t4 was really high and I let myself get scarred. At first I didn’t take the numbers to heart because I never felt symptoms. Then I developed a nodule on my thyroid….before taking the prescription I did a water fast at the TrueNorth Health Center and changed my lifestyle to WFPB + SOS free.
Someone told me about iodine but I didn’t feel confident with how to take it or what kind to buy. I’m grateful for any helpful info you feel comfortable sharing.

I love Dr Doug Lisle and Dr Jen Howk’s great website “esteem dynamics”
At some point I started to FEEL so alive and good in my body that I truly don’t care how wrinkled I look….(I am gracefully surrendering things of youth!) …so when my family members have stuff to say (and family are the best when it comes to knowing how to push those “buttons”) I can hear their words but not react…they usually roll right off & don’t penetrate because I can FEEL the results of my choices.
Even when I’ve gotten colds, or flu symptoms, and hear their voices saying “you’re wasting away …have some chicken soup” I KNOW my body has been divinely designed with intelligence and I choose to nourish it with food that IS divinely designed to support it, so I confidently and gratefully allow my body do its thing while I watch & listen to all the helpful positive people on Chef AJ’s channel!
We are not alone in our WFPB choices! We are not even on the first wave! This wisdom has been around for centuries! We now have the ability to share and connect in a way that wasn’t ever available!
