She's my hero - she's trying to speak and not allowing aphasia or other speech difficulties stop her. For almost 5 years I have lived with 4 injured areas - my speech is slow, I have a hard time getting my words out and this gives me - others as well.

I live 1 mile from where she and the others were shot, I remember the traffic jam that went on all day long around that intersection, I remember the news spreading in the neighborhood like wildfire even before it hit the news media. I know people who were shot or had family who were shot. I work in mental health, and everything about Gabby in this video is consistent with the kind of brain injury she has. She is a local hero. She always had a rather high voice. Half of her brain works completely normally, including the half that runs her emotions and personality. The average kid doesn’t see an adult relearning how to acclimate to society. They see another (and I don’t mean to be demeaning) being “acting like” a kid. So I can’t (obviously) hold it against the kids for not being able to read the room/empathize with her struggle. I have ephasia too. I had septic shock which caused my brain to swell. And now, words don’t come as easily. I’m lucky that I also know ASL and so does my husband. It’s so frustrating. People try to tell me the word I’m looking for and all it does is make it worse, I know the concept just nor the exact word. It makes me want to scream.

I want to know where I can find these "absolute best" doctors in Tucson. From my experiences with the medical field in Tucson, it is embarrassing to see how dysfunctional the medical field is there. I absolutely love this couple. She is so inspirational. Being a victim of a shooting myself I can tell you it is very hard to come back completely from it. However if anybody can it is Gabby Giffords. What an outstanding beautiful person she is.

Absolutely, she is a Warrior, she fought hard and long to overcome her challengers and she has done an Excellent job. I remembered that day vividly it was a chaotic scene, but God rescued het to return to her people and her loving and caring HUSBAND, who cared for her, helped her, and stood by her side through it all. God bless you Sir. Remind the readers about the Wedding Vows. In sick need and in health, you both made it through, and they you looked at each other the sparkle is stronger than ever. Jesus, have to edit this again. Almost can't believe all the "this is fake" comments, but then I realized half of those came from kids that were still learning they're abc's at the time this happened, and the other half are too far left to be saved. That being said, I'm not all that hopeful that Kelly will do much for our state. Prove me wrong man... Prove me wrong.
The average kid doesn’t see an adult relearning how to acclimate to society. They see another (and I don’t mean to be demeaning) being “acting like” a kid. So I can’t (obviously) hold it against the kids for not being able to read the room/empathize with her struggle. We as adults have to make sure we teach the next generation the lessens we’ve learned and not engage them in the “childish” level.
You should listen to the kids because they obviously possess critical thinking skills that you do not.

I have ephasia too. I had septic shock which caused my brain to swell. And now, words don’t come as easily. I’m lucky that I also know ASL and so does my husband. It’s so frustrating. People try to tell me the word I’m looking for and all it does is make it worse, I know the concept just nor the exact word. It makes me want to scream.
