Im a Republican, but I want to say she is a true beauty inside and out, a true American Patriot who reached across the aisle and showed these clowns(on both sides) how to be CIVIL. A truly dignified LADY( in the classical way) and the people of Arizona were lucky to have her. My thoughts and prayers are with you Gabby Giffords. Stay strong! You are on Hell of an AMAZING human being!!! Hope you get fully healed someday soon and come can back and add some civility to these fools on both sides
There will always be people who look for the negative to focus on, but it is clear that this woman, in the midst of such tragedy, has found the strength of character to look for the positive and became an inspiration to this country. What a remarkable woman!
Gabby was shot doing what is right for our country. We all care, she is a symbol of American hope, courage, bravery, and determination. She is an inspiration in every sense of the word. Although I do not agree with Nancy Pelosi on many levels, using that kind of language just makes you sound silly and rude. And I'm a teenager.
This was hard to watch i was picturing John f Kennedy resignation if he survived his gun shot. Gabby proves to humanity a damage to urself may be overcomed even if she's not 100% back to normal thank God for 21st century medical care.
Yes. She was lucky the bullet only crossed one hemisphere. This also shows how resilient our body structure truly can be. The brain can compensate and recover from trauma as long as it is contained and blood and fluid can continue to be supplied to the remaining tissue. And yes, she is a fighter. Her husband is carrying on her legacy in politics and Arizona loves their servicemen and heroes. From POW and maverick McCain to fighter pilot and astronaut Mark Kelly. I'm sure she still offers intelligent guidance to him. I'm happy for those two!

I appreciate the comment but seems like the divisive nature especially on the right is now uglier than ever.
