Quoting scripture at me is the actual loony bin shit, considering I actually know if the contents of the Bible and understand the Catholic faith quite well. Adam's creation is not how the overwhelming majority of Humans are created. Even if we are to use the Bible and the teachings of God to find the beginning of human life, you still cannot refer to a baby in the womb as a parasite. The "breath of life" does not refer to air. It refers to a supernatural force that god has bestowed upon humanity.
      As for quoting scriptures.
      1. Psalm 139:13-16- "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."
      2. Jeremiah 1:5 - "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
      3. Luke 1:41, 44 - "When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. "As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy."
Cherry Picking the Bible during an argument of basic biology is really foolish, especially when, in actuality, conception is when even Catholics consider human life to begin.
I'd say nice try, but you're a dumbfuck.

I think A good point to keep in mind when a proAbortion person says “abortion should be legal if a woman doesn’t want to give birth”, is to remind them that once a woman is pregnant, the baby has to come out anyway.. all abortion does is ensure the baby comes out dead. Birth is inescapable once conception happens- it’s just a matter of whether it’ll be 9mo birth, C-section, premature birth, or miscarriage, etc.

Huh, I never thought of it that way, but it is a valid point.
In a way, it reminds me of what Chief Hekarroh said in Horizon Forbidden West.
He says he counts the bodies of Marshals slain at the Embassy, he counts thousands more that hang in the balance, the he will fight for them. And so will Aloy if she wants access to the chamber below.
Then she asks by that logic, what's to stop her from just killing him and taking what she needs?
And in response to that, Hekarroh says "you can try. You may even succeed. Either way, you must fight. My way will hold off Regallah, and the slaughter she craves."

@@bhz8947 sure, I can agree that people’s view of the unborn’s moral significance will vary based on their level of development (2weeks v 7months).
However, my point is that some people say “I don’t want to give birth”, or claim the “forced-birth” argument, yet they miss the fact that once a woman is pregnant, birth is inescapable; The baby will HAVE to come out, in some form or fashion, eventually.
It’s like some people see Abortion almost like a Thanos snap that just makes the baby fade away thus avoiding birth, but that’s just not accurate.

Sex is a choice in 99% of these abortion cases. If you choose to have sex with someone else and you or they get pregnant, the both of you should be required to care for the child. First, although unlikely, more children being put up for adoption than parents willing to take them is a possible outcome.
Second, adoption is only mitigating the problem. There's shouldn't be an expectation that someone is going to clean up your mistakes either by killing the child or by taking them.
Finally, adoption is a beautiful thing, but it's saddening that so many children grow up not knowing their heritage and already knowing they have 2 people who didn't want them.

Child birth is not a trauma. It's hard, I wouldn't deny that, but it's not a trauma. This is a very immature view on what trauma actually is, which is something our entire society suffers from. Medically, it's anything that is a wound, shock or injury. A natural physical thing your body is made to do cannot be described as any of these things. Psychologically, it's an emotional response to a terrible event, such as an accident, rape, or natural disaster. All of these things have a common factor in that they are surprises and things you cannot anticipate or see coming. If you do a thing that can result in something, and that something happens 9 months later and you know it's coming for the last 7 months, that cannot be a trauma.

Just because we’re made to do this, doesn’t mean it goes perfectly smooth every time. Then you have mental trauma from your physical ordeal. I know, “it’s just a scar on your stomach. A small price to pay for a life.” But is a woman not allowed to make her own decisions to what happens to her body?

For real though, I did say I know it's hard, and I didn't say it but I understand there is a risk of injury or death. But calling it "trauma" when it works exactly the way it's supposed to is like following the logic: rape is traumatic, rape is sex, therefore sex is traumatic. That's nonsense. As as society we make distinct differentiation between what is rape and what it just sex. Just like there is definitions for both physical and psychological trauma, none of which your standard, run of the mill birth fits. Calling it a trauma is an extension where people think words don't actually mean anything, so they user the most ridiculous word at their disposal to make an emotional point and not a real actual argument.
Nowhere did I say that a woman doesn't have a right over her body, did I? Very interesting debate, I'm surprised this video doesn't have more views. Considering the number of comments, I would speculate its being supressed.
My two pennies - and I would to mention that I am against most abortions, a majority of the time they are not an ethical option, and there is a better way to manage the situation. Something like 95%+ of terminations are for social reasons.
But I do have a lot of knowledge about this area of healthcare and I would like to point out some things:
    - California has a very low maternal mortality rate. There are other US states with rates over 8X this, which is shockingly high for a developed country. The actual death rate figure is also the tip of the iceberg - underneath that will be a whole load of ITU admissions, permanent injuries, blood clots, near deaths, 4th degree tears ect ect and there will be quite a lot more of these than there are deaths. This is something that I often find quite frustrating with these sort of debates, kind of like the 'clump of cells/tumor' argument on the other side. The risks of birth for the mother can vary from being fairly low to having a high risk of death depending on her health, access to healthcare, quality of that healthcare, if any issues develop in the pregnany ect.
    - There are some situations, outside of ectopic pregnancies where the pregnancy does significantly threaten the life of the mother. Often these are when the mother is in very poor health herself. For example, serious cardio-vascular problems could mean the mother's system cannot cope with both her and a baby. Breast cancer or other reproductive cancers - pregnancy hormones cause these tumors to grow very rapidly. These woman are usually advised to terminate, due to the effect chemo will have on foetal development - some actually refuse and their survival chances could be very low as a result. I could list a few more if you like or go into further detail. With regards to these pregnancies, which make up a small proportion, this is not a black and white issue.

That's only ectopics, not any other circumstances.
I would argue that the treatment for an ectopic is abortion - the definition of abortion is the deliberate ending of a human pregnancy. If you have ectopic pregnancy, you take a drug that ends the pregnancy which works most of the time. You're pregnant before you take the drug, you're not pregnant after - how is it not abortion? If not there are surgical methods to treat.
If you don't treat it, the baby (at embryo stage) will 100% die when the tube ruptures and so will the mother. It's the most clear cut case where abortion is obviously moral, but the assertion it is not abortion is not correct. @@LJoseph-zs9bu

    • @StaniG420
      @StaniG420 8 месяцев назад

@@thesavagekitti5668 Actually the assertion that it is not abortion is absolutely correct. The medical definition of abortion is "Deliberate termination of human pregnancy...". The general definition of pregnancy for humans is "The state between conception and birth, during which the fertilized egg develops in the uterus", with emphasis on developing in the uterus. Ectopic pregnancy results in the child being developed outside of the uterus - therefore its not actually a pregnancy - therefore not abortion.

    • @thesavagekitti5668
      @thesavagekitti5668 8 месяцев назад

      No, I disagree.
RCOG (royal college of obstetricians and gynaecologists), define abortion as:
Ending a pregnancy using either medicines (medical abortion) or an operation (surgical abortion).
RCOG is the UK equivalent of ACOG (American college of obstetricians and gynaecologists), so this is the most knowledgeable organisation regarding pregnancy, childbirth, gynae issues ect. They write guidelines for obstetricians and gynaecologists to follow.
Additionally, at the implantation stage, it can implant somewhere that is still technically uterine, but is still dangerous, such as very close to the cervix. If this is left untreated can also result in massive hemorrhage needing serious interventions, such as hysterectomy to prevent death of the woman.
Different organisations will define a term slightly differently. As different dictionaries will.

I don't suppose these instructors mention the ways pregnancy and childbirth can benefit a woman: easier periods, lower risk of cancers, MS, strokes, etc. And that's not even mentioning the incredible privilege of bringing a new life into the world to love along with your husband.
