Pellons! I wasn’t a screen printer but I worked front office for one. It’s fabric sheets that printers use for test runs for new art, colors, etc. They kept the best with notes in regards to colors, layers, pressure etc. Cheap & you won’t use up your merch on test runs. 😊
Aaahhhh its been so long since I last commented on your vids, Mel! I have been too busy with school this year that I didnt have time to watch your videos. I recently finished all my submissions and was just thinking to myself yesterday that it is time for me to catch up on your vlogs, because they're my absolute favourite 🥺💕 hope you have been good and adjusting well with your new job! The tshirts look great too, I actually dont mind the smol imperfections, they add to the ✨artsy✨ vibe hehe
omg your designs turned out SO CUUUUTE!!! this vlog also reminds me that i bought screenprinting stuff and tote bags a couple years ago AND ITS STILL SITTING IN MY CLOSET LOL maybe it is tote bag time!!!
Hi Melanie! I haven't done screenprinting in a loooooong time, but I think one reason for the challenges you are having is that your squeegee is too short! It should be the width of your screen. So go get a longer squeegee, or do a smaller design. The screen should be primed once at the top of the screen (farthest away from you), and you should pull the squeegee ONCE toward you with a firm and even pressure, using both hands.None of these light passes like you are painting with a paint brush. It's a squeegee not a brush. Also, I feel you are using waaay too much ink. Anyway, one reason that you are missing parts of the design is because the squeegee is too short for that particular screen. If you have the right size squweegee, the ink will spread evenly across the design. Hope this helps! Big congrats for just jumping in and filming it as you go. True grit and courage have you! ❤
hi friends i hope august is treating you well :o)
