@@maxvcollenburg Can we do smart delays outside 24-hr window? For example, inside a flow, I'll set the smart delay - then I put "after 1 days" or "2 days". Will it still work?
Thx man, awesome video! My challenges faced here, is that subscriber will also type in to chat with us to ask more info, which they will not click neither of the buttons and no tags applied. The bad side of this is , while we (as human) are currently interacting with them, out of the sudden the follow up msg pop up~
hi max, do you have tutorial on how to do the follow up message for each (5,10,15) minutes... what i have right now is , after the follow up message is being sent, they keep sending the messages which could annoy my leads. could you drop a link ?
Thanks Max. I was looking to set up a auto reply to people who opted in thru ad, but never began with the flow, just clicked on the messenger ad and then gone. Glad I found your vid. I followed your "4 min follow up" sample, set up the same thing blow by blow. but people are getting the auto reply even they have interacted through till the end of the flow already. after they are at the end, 4 hours later, the auto reply still pops up. I double checked again, I did exactly as you did. I wonder where would have gone wrong?
tried to also on preview and the "follow up" still fires up after the delayed time, even though I have interacted and been tagged by interaacting with the buttons. it just pops up despite the condition is set as you shown..
just figured it out. my mistake. on the conditions, I used "all of the following" instead of "any of the following". thanks again for the good stuff mAx
@@maxvcollenburg thanks Max. now I came across another issue. It seems that if the person never responds, the auto reply keeps firing up. I set it in after 2 hours, between 10 am to 22:00. how do I solve that issue? i feel like i should be asking this to manychat lol...
Hello, I am not sure if I cannot find or there is no functionality, but if I choose to do an automation, where person comments on my post, it automatically sends him a DM. But I want to follow up after 24h for example, but there is no button to add next step such as smart delay if I started automation "Comment on Post/Reel and reply in DM". Any ideas?
hello, I'm trying to delay a message to send at the same time every day that is within the 24hr rule. For example, your interaction with my bot is today at 1pm and I want it to send the next step at 8am tomorrow, and tomorrow comes and the user gets the next step at 8am bright and early and clicks a button in my flow at 8:15am that same day. What I want is for them to receive the next step of that flow 8am the following day. I tried using the smart delay function using the duration and 'set continue time limit' but that is only in blocks of 1 hour, so if they finish at 8:15am and I choose 8-9 in the smart delay it will still continue. I'm thinking of using a condition that if 'current time' is between 8:00 and 8:01 then continue to the next step, but will it delay the next step until that time automatically, or would it just do nothing if it's not exactly that time? Can you assist, please?😩🙏🙏🙏
Hey Max,What if there is a smart delay of 7 days and a logic connected with it by taking OTNR from customer. How to stop that smart delay and the flow connected with it from execution? Is there any way out ?
Hey Arsalan! I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to do, but you could probably add a condition after your smart delay in which you check if something has happened or not. That way, you could automatically have it stop after the smart delay.
@@maxvcollenburg Actually I have published a flow with smart delay of 7 days and now,7 days are completed today and because there was no condition in that previous published flow.So the messages are sent and they're able to resume the flow.how to stop those guys? I hope I am able to clear my query now!
Hey Max, I have a question bud: How can I use a smart delay on the "If subscriber has not responded" option if I need to follow up when they haven't got back to my original question? I've tried to set the smart delay already and then link it to the message I want it to send but when I'm testing it, it's not working :( Hope this makes sense, thank you!
Hey Nikos! If you use a user input, you can set a time for the user input to expire. When it does, you can connect a follow-up message through the red "has not responded" path 🙂 So if you want to sent a follow-up 4 minutes later, you'll set the user input to expire in 4 minutes.
I don't have a tutorial on this yet, but here's an example flow: manychat.com/flowPlayerPage?share_hash=293491434644244_b287814e8e4c2d02cc32dfe17881466599c0db74

Does this make sense? Thank you Max
I'm asking leads for their email. I say "tap your email below or enter a better one" then user input so it's waiting on a reply... the "action on reply" is to tag the user then send their email to klaviyo. I then have a text block "in the same box, just below "free user input" that says "Great, your email is inbound" then the "next step" at the bottom of the box goes to a smart delay, then a condition looking for the tag, if the isn't found, it goes to the next box that says says "hey did you get this?" Hopefully that makes sense. I think everyone is getting stuck at "waiting for user input" and not moving through the flow because they never confirmed their email.
@@maxvcollenburg The problem is that they're getting hung up on "waitiing for user input" and not moving through the flow. I'm looking for a work around.
I set up a flow of several messages and I want one message to go out beach day but at the bottom of each message does a button which will allow them to jump to the next message and then at the bottom of the message the next step is the smart delayed send them to the next message if they don't press the button Beach message has the smart delay between it and the next message and the problem I'm having his but after the second day when the smart delay kicks in all the messages gets and it's not going message delay messages all a message to the latest delay and bang all the messages go once
Hey Kev! So you have a series of messages that you want to be sent out every day, and if they want they can also continue to the next one right away? You could create some kind of flow with a condition to check which messages the subscriber already received. Whenever you send a message, add a tag which tells you what they received. Then, everyday (or when they click the continue button), you push them into this flow that sends the next message. It's a bit complicated, but totally possible. P.S. Keep in mind that you can only message people within the 24-hour window, so you need to re-engage them every time for this to work.
This is the most detailed tutorial that I've watched about conditions and smart delays. Thanks! I'm now using it.
Glad it was helpful!

You could add a tag at the beginning of a flow, and then place a condition before that to check if people already have that tag or not 🙃
